I call this the magic wand, despite the fact a very different product has appropriated that name. My needs aren’t great, the house rarely gets very dirty. I wanted a light weight, cordless vacuum to clean chiefly dog fur on two floors, one wood and tile, the other carpeted. The Dyson V8 Plus does the job easily and swiftly, sucking up all the dog debris, small bits of paper, food scraps, and any other dirt on the floors. It is so much more convenient than using one of those big, cumbersome, corded vacuum cleaners I used to have. I hated lugging these around, especially up and down stairs. Now I can carry the Dyson just in one hand and never worry about plugging and re-plugging the machine. I had some difficulties at the beginning because the Dyson got clogged. It still functioned, but not well: it pulsed, instead of being smooth. Only when I downloaded the manual did I discover the simple solution to my problem, which was to find and remove the blockage in the tube. Then the Dyson worked like magic. The battery doesn’t last very long under heavy usage, so I clean one floor at a time, waiting about two hours between these tasks until the machine recharges. I’m probably too cautious because whenever I finish a floor, I know I still have some leftover power. It’s not quiet but nor is it especially noisy – and it works so well I can’t complain.

Worth the price! I actually purchased it during prime days. A game changer in my opinion. Makes sweeping up pet hair on our hardwood steps a breeze. Way easier than lugging a vacuum cleaner up the steps with a chord that is not long enough. Now I can do it more frequently because it’s so easy. I also use it in the kitchen after meal prep & dinner instead of a broom. It’s also a great way to easily sweep up hair off of our bathroom floors. Absolutely love it!

This is the 3rd cordless vacuum I have purchased and by far, its the best! I’ve had it now for about 3 months and use it almost daily. Easy to use, easy to clean and empty. Has 2 great power levels. I really only use the normal level, it has enough suction to do most of the house but I have 2 large dogs and they shed daily so when I vacuum the rugs, I use the max setting. It almost lifts the rug off the floor! It lasts on the normal level for about 30 minutes and recharges in 2 hours. I love this Dyson! Wish I’d bought it sooner!

So this is my first brand new Dyson, and my first battery stick vacuum. I got it on sale, which is the Only reason why I bought it. I have 4 kids, 2 dogs (one of which is a German shepherd), and a cat-so Tons of floor debris and dog hair everywhere. This vacuum is Great, IF you are able to vacuum one floor of your home in 10 minutes. I let this charge for 24 full hours right after I opened it, took my time vacuuming because I waited that amount of time, and got my kitchen and half the dining room vacuumed and it died. So I let it charge for 2 full days, made sure everything else was cleaned and tried to go through my downstairs fairly quickly with the vacuum, got the kitchen, dining room, living room (left out the couch), and it died in my foyer. My house is NOT large, probably 1900 square feet total including a second floor and a finished attic…. Hopefully they will improve the battery at some point, I have a shark hand vacuum that will last for hours fully charged. I’ve had to use that to vacuum my entire house before, as I’ve gone through 5 vacuums in about 5 years. Like I said, dog hair and kids. If your going to invest in this vacuum I would maybe wait to see if they improve the battery first. I like this, it’s just that the battery sucks.

Purchased this for my wife on our first anniversary (she’s been wanting one, and we used to just have a cheap, low-suction vacuum). Well, as it turns out, I’ve been the one who’s used it the most! This vacuum is the best. Not only does it have great suction and maneuverability, but it also sounds (and looks) really cool. I read some of the comments saying that theirs had poor battery life — admittedly I haven’t had it for long so I can’t say much about the longevity, but when I first got it I ran it non-stop on high power and got roughly 45 minutes out of it. More than enough, because I live in an apartment and the longest I’ll vacuum for is probably 15 minutes at the max. TBH, even if the battery sucked, I’d still love it, because it actually makes me want to vacuum every day.

This vacuum is amazing. It’s so handy and has a great suction. The charge will only get you thru one room, but that’s ok. I only bought it for quick clean ups. The suction is so powerful that I keep it on low for my rugs.
Max setting is great for baseboard and window frames. I can easily get to my 10 ‘ ceiling with the handle.
Also perfect for small spaces like cars , shelves and cabinet tops. All I have to do is remove the long handle. It vacuums up so well that I have to empty after every use. The canister is very easy to empty- just the push of a button. I’m so happy I have this.

Loved the vacuum cleaner! It’s light and cleans like a dream. Because it recharches quickly, I am able to use it very often. It’s rather pricy, but worth the mone for what it does. It is very powerful!

Like many other reviews I find the battery is an issue. My home’s small enough that I can get it all done on one charge but if I want to use the accessories and handle all the dusting too, then we have a problem. I love that it’s cordless so I get that the battery will only last so long, especially when on max power. Too bad the battery isn’t removable with the option to purchase a replacement for a spare.
I have a long haired dog that tracks in a lot of dirt so suction is a major factor. This little vac does not disappoint. The hairs don’t get tangled up as much as a regular brush vacuum but they do accumulate some. It’s easy to maneuver and because it’s lightweight it’s a breeze to carry up and down stairs. The accessories are easy to change out with a simple click of a button. Charging time does take a while though.

I am so happy that I’ve purchased this. I’ve used it weekly for about a month – and so far I love it! I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and was looking for a stick vacuum that could handle both hardwood floors AND carpet. This was a great choice.
My previous vacuum was pretty bulky and it was very loud and started to smell when I used it, so I dreaded vacuuming. I would do it like every 6 months or even once a year (I really, really hate vacuuming), and with 2 cats and myself, who has long hair, that was not good. So once I moved to a new place, I vowed to do vacuuming once a week. This Dyson stick vacuum is perfect for that. It is not as loud as my previous vacuum so that is pretty nice. The suction is amazing so it picks up a lot of hair/fur from my floors. Vacuuming is no longer a dreaded chore.
I also love how it is super easy to empty the container – I empty it every time I use it. I hated emptying my old vacuum because it was such a big event, but for this one, it’s a matter of pulling it open and boom – the container is open and the contents easily drop into the trash. The vacuum doesn’t take up a lot of space, so when I’m done, I can store it in a small closet.
I know others have commented on the battery life – honestly, that may be an issue if I lived in a home with lots of rooms to cover. But I think it’s perfect for apartments. I can vacuum my bedroom multiple times before I have to recharge it.
Anyways, I do think it’s worth it. It is pretty expensive, but so far it has been worth every dime. My parent’s Dyson vacuum has lasted decades… I hope this one lasts forever too.
