This is an excellent stick vacuum. It has very powerful section compared to other ones I’ve had and it’s easy to use. The battery system is great because Black and Decker allows you to use the same battery across many of their tools… so there’s no issue with buying a new battery and not being able to find it. The only issue and it’s not a very big one is that you can’t put the vacuum permanently in low power. The auto sense will put it in low power when it’s on floor vs. carpeting, and you can permanently put it into the high power mode, but you cannot set it into the low power mode. This would be helpful for some throw rugs I have because the suction is powerful and I have to be careful on the throw rugs.

I ultimately purchased this vacuum because we have an abundance of black and decker 20V batteries. I had purchased a rechargeable stick vacuum off Amazon awhile back and after a year the vacuum would only last a few minutes between charges making it basically disposable, so this way I had several batteries at my disposal for this vacuum.
The good-easy to use, good suction, easy to vacuum under low furniture, moves from hard floor to carpet easily, affordable, and not reliant on an internal battery that ultimately dies/stops charging properly, light on front so I can see all the pet hair that litters every inch of every surface, long vacuum time with a full battery charge.
The bad-a little top heavy, small collection canister and not easy to remove to empty, motor revs when going from dry floor to carpet which may seem like a plus but it’s annoying for reasons I can’t explain and if you only had the one battery that comes with it it would be inconvenient when it dies.
Overall, I would purchase the vacuum again.

This stick vacuum is just OK.It’s a case of you get what you pay for. My Dyson stick vacuum died after about 5 years & I just didn’t want to pay that price again so I decided to give this a try. While there are some pluses, (the standing upright on its own, interchangeable battery & front light); it definitely falls short in actual performance. It picks up, but I have to go over the area several times which I find annoying and this is on wood floors, not carpet. I’ve had it for a couple months because I wanted to give it a good test and my thoughts are the same. I’d say good for quick pick ups & battery longevity is good, but it’s not the greatest on picking up dust & dirt – you have to work at it.

I had a Dyson stick vacuum that cost a ridiculous amount that lasted for less than four years. I did love it initially, but now not the value for money. So I figured I might as well pay way less and see how this one goes! So far so good.
This is more functional than a corded vacuum for what I need and is pretty easy to manage, but not quite as maneuverable as the Dyson was (although the low profile ability to reach under furniture is better). Also the B&D is not quite as light, but in the same ballpark. The canister is small, but not that much smaller than and is MUCH easier to empty compared to the Dyson. And if I notice the “sucking power” is lacking, emptying the canister (because like I said, small for some jobs) always fixes it right back up for me. The one thing I’ll say is I am taking care to handle to plastic piece that releases then locks the canister back on with a delicate touch- read that some other users had worries about the longevity there. Also read that it’s “need-hearing-protection loud”- for me, it is comparable to any other vacuum I’ve ever had and not at all a problem. And I love that the battery is interchangeable with other B&D products I already own so the battery life is a non-issue. I LOVE the light because it’s so obvious what it is that you’re trying to pick up.
Bought it in March and if this vacuum lasts another 8-10 months, which I fully expect it to, it will already be better value than my Dyson was. (Disclaimer: got this for about $175 on sale)

This vacuum works great. I love the light. I have cats and hardwood floors and I am always shocked to see how much hair is actually on my floor when I turn it on. (Need to use that push broom more often!) Battery life is decent for me, and about what I expected. I have other B&D power tools, and many batteries, so this was not going to be an issue. Still I bought a 2 pack of extra batteries on the cheap just to keep in the house. The vacuum is very lightweight and maneuverable. The suction power IS adjustable (on a properly working model!) by hitting the power button a second time. It does have a sensor which will kick it up to max should you hit a rough carpet spot, and usually on my berber carpet. If you suck up something that entangles the brush, it turns off until you remove the offending particle. In my case, usually a piece of sisal rope from a cat tree, or the edge of a blanket, etc. There are only 2 things I don’t like about it. First; Although it does come with a screw-into-the-wall holder, and it does balance to stand upright by itself, I’ve had too many instances of knocking it over…sometimes falling down the steps and the dust cup popping off. Instead I wedge the top into a corner, leaning into the wall. This can leave a mark on your wall, but does work. Unless you wanna be a freak and purchase multiple wall holders… Hmm.. Secondly; The dust cup can be hard to empty, and I was surprised at how quickly it fills up. It is easy to get off the vacuum, but hard to pull out the top to empty it, once you do. I am not weak and people tell me I have a very good grip. Anyway I find that putting my left index finger into the opening on the side and pushing up while I pull the top works with less effort, every time. Neither of these “imperfections” is enough to deduct a star though. I’ve had it for 2.5 months and am waiting for another sale so I can keep one upstairs too. I wanted a vacuum with power, portability, and a powered head brush. Also one with a replaceable battery system. Already been through the “Battery is dead, so is your vacuum” saga with other brands.

I used to own a Shark Vertex cordless vacuum that I loved…unfortunately, my ex-wife got it in the divorce. I was planning on buying the same vacuum again for myself, however since I’m now living alone and without pets, I felt I couldn’t justify the large price point. Instead, I picked up this vacuum for a much more reasonable price, and I specifically picked this model because of the interchangeable rechargeable batteries that I could get more of and use with other power tools.
The plastic is very cheap, and the vacuum feels cheap, so I wouldn’t really go throwing it around aggressively. Because of this, I was skeptical about the performance. But the second I powered her up, MAN, what a vacuum! Instantly sucked up so much dirt, lint, and hair. I think it honestly has just as good if not better sucking power than the shark vertex.
I can’t speak for longevity yet, as I haven’t owned it very long. But so far I am completely blown away with the functionality.

Muy buena opción para casa pequeña, si tienes alfombra en toda tu casa la vdd no la recomiendo la pila no te va a durar mucho pero si es piso normal si 👍🏼

The task of getting the vac and reaching as far asone canwith the cord without plugging it, just became a lot easier. A cordless light weight vac is what I had needed and wantedfor sometime. Thaks to the inventor and the price was right.
