We bought this vacuum to replace a 9-year old iRobot Roomba. You can see how far the technology has come in the last 9 years as this product has way better cleaning power, object-avoidance, is far more quiet, and can both sweep and mop. The Roomba requires physical IR wall modules to keep the vacuum from going into certain areas, while the LiDAR mapping with this model allows you to have multiple no-go areas by just drawing boxes on the map that gets made as the vacuum scans your rooms. Out of curiosity we ran the Roomba right before running this new vacuum and the new vacuum picked up so much dust and hair that it filled the entire bin, meaning the Roomba clearly wasn’t getting the job done. The initial setup was slightly confusing as the vacuum is 2.4GHz only but since my phone was connected to a 5GHz WiFi network it kept trying and failing to connect (the app should realize the vacuum is 2.4GHz only and pop up an alert to warn me I’m connected to 5GHz). Once I realized why it was failing to connect I had to refer to the user manual which has an alternate connection method and then everything was fine. We also really like the “Customized Cleaning” option that can be enabled since I was able to program the vacuum to do 2 passes in one of our rooms with carpeting instead of the default single-pass. We generally find the app to be intuitive and there’s always a quick Google search which can be used as a solution if something is unclear since there’s lots of people out there using the Tuya app. Overall, a great robot vacuum.

This vacuum has become my best friend! Having two littles and no time to clean, this little vacuum has been a blessing. You can have it map out your house and have it clean where you want, when you want. I am amazed by what it picks up and it is so easy to clean. Rarely when I do get time to put my feet up, my little friend makes me feels happy when it’s doing the work for me. This is one purchase I would buy over and over again. It is so smart too! Even the mapped out rooms that have toys scattered, it just goes around and cleans where it can. The app is great and easy to control. You can adjust the volume and suction. You can manually control it which can make for a fun game with the kids. The mopping option is great too. If you want it to mop just put on the mopping attachment and program where to go. If you just want it to vacuum, take the mopping attachment off. Love it!!!

Für den Preis, absolut überzeugend!
+Preis

I previously had a robot vacuum that dinged off of every single thing in the house with no reason. I am really impressed with this vacuumed. The app is super easy to use to block areas I don’t want it to go without having a magnetic strip on the floor or anything. The virtual walls and “no go” area features are amazing. It maps the entire room them goes back and forth in strategic lines so it does not miss a spot. I have two toddlers and the mop feature is wonderful for our house. Keeping up with these sticky hands will be a little easier knowing I can set it to clean while we are at work. The suction is great and you can control how strong it is by little, some, or a lot, as the same with the water. It was pretty easy to set up too. The back of the charging base has a hidden compartment to hide the unused cord, too.

Let me give you some context.
1. I have a Neato D6 vacuum for all the downstairs common areas in the house. After about 2 years, it became one headache after another. It’s now 5 years old, and I hardly ever wake up to find it hasn’t gotten stuck somewhere on something. So that’s the baseline for my expectations.
2. This Tikom vacuum cleaner was purchased just to clean a much smaller, and somewhat maze-like part of the house which gets dirty fast and which is inaccessible to the household Neato vacuum.
Considering the Neato was literally 6x the cost of this Tikom unit, my expectations were low here, but so were my requirements, so I thought it worth giving it a go. It’s now been running twice a day for about a week and I am honestly really quite impressed. Of course, we’ll see whether it holds up in the long run.
POINTS OF INTEREST:
Here are some points of interest I’ve observed:
– In the context of this small, albeit labyrinthian space, it has never gotten stuck on anything and it’s never dropped below 80% battery life.
– It’s surprisingly quiet. Like, I actually do think you could run this in a bedroom while you sleep, provided you’re a somewhat heavy sleeper and perhaps you’re used to droning noises (e.g., fans, AC units).
– The suction is good, but I doubt this would face real heavy-duty cleaning tasks. However, since it’s running twice a day, the conditions never reach the point of “heavy duty”.
– Like the last point, the mopping functionality is referred to kind of generously. This isn’t really “mopping” anything. It’s just dragging a damp rag across the ground. But, here’s the thing, in practice, if you start with a clean floor, this thing helps it stay that way a lot longer. It’s not going to clean up a real mess, but if you keep the reservoir full and replace the pad every day or so, it all but halts the creep of grime build up, and that is honestly not even something I knew I wanted and it’s great.
– The brush is only about 50% the width of the robot, and I thought that would be a problem, but it doesn’t appear to be at all in practice. I have a dog that is hell bent on leaving fur everywhere and this thing never leaves any of it behind.
DRAWBACKS:
Okay, now there are some drawbacks that I think are worth mentioning. Personally, none of these have been a serious problem for me in my context, but I can imagine if you expected this thing to clean a whole house, you’d quickly bump into the negatives.
– The dust bin is really quite small. In the roughly 160 square feet of space my robot has to clean, the dust bin needs emptying about once a day. I forgot once and it was jam packed the following afternoon. I don’t think it would be capable of tackling the almost 1000 square feet of space in the main house without being emptied half way through.
– The water reservoir is really very small. You can set the water flow for the mop feature in the settings of the app, but anything less than “high flow” doesn’t seem to make the pad wet enough to do much. With my robot running twice a day (two passes in the morning, and one in the evening) the reservoir needs filling daily. Again, it would be empty well before it got through the whole main floor of the house.
– The app is surprisingly good, but also disappointing in its limitations. For example, you can set up a schedule, but you cannot define specifics about what it should do on that schedule. You cannot have it vacuum on high in the morning, and low overnight. You cannot have it mop with a high flow at night, and vacuum with a low flow mop in the morning. All of the settings for how the device should run are set at the device level, and the schedule only defines when it should run, not how it should run.
– Removing the dust bin is easy, but putting it back in is a little frustrating. It clicks in really easily and satisfyingly once you get the alignment right, but getting the alignment right is kind of tedious for some reason. Not a big deal, but could be better.
CONCLUSION:
I would say for a small, medium traffic space, this is a surprisingly good device and at about $150 I wouldn’t hesitate. Yes, it does require regular maintenance in the form of replacing the pad, emptying the bin, and refilling the reservoir pretty much daily, but in exchange for that less than 90 seconds of effort, the floor basically stays spotless without any other intervention and I would call that more than worth the money and effort.

I have had 4 robot vacuum cleaners. This one is the BEST so far. Love the app on the phone and love the laser sensor and speed of the robot. It is thorough and has a good speed to it. Been cleaning out the dust tray daily and I am surprised how much dirt & lint it picks up. The robot maps the entire house and then it is up to you whether to zone (or not) parts of the house. You can always see where the robot is. Never loose the robot! The map for zoning is useful for multiple floors and step down walk-in showers. I am thinking of getting TWO of these robots…. one for vacuuming the house and the other for mopping the ceramic tile areas. Right now, I have one….. Might buy the other one for the mopping. It comes with a mopping attachment, but I am too lazy to swap it out (to mop and swap out again back to vacuum). Easier to have two of them!

Pour un logement de 5 pièces. Bon résultat pour long terme. Mais si il passe rien que une fois. Faut s’attendre qu’il reste de la poussière. Mais le résultat général est quand même très bon. Beau bon pas cher. Reste à savoir combien de temps.

I waited a few weeks before sharing my thoughts on our new vacuum/mop because I wanted to properly vet it. After 18 hours of vacuuming and mopping, I can say it’s a total game changer! I’m absolutely amazed by the technology, how simple it is to operate, its agility, the quality of its construction, and just how well it works! My floors have never been cleaner, and I take cleaning very seriously! The ratings are a clear indication of its quality. I’m so pleased with my purchase that it almost brings me to tears! I’d rate it 8 out of 5 stars! It’s bought me time, freedom and peace of mind. I recommend it to everyone I meet!

My husband and I are not the ‘techy’ kind, so we were a little intimidated by the programming functionality and therefore dragged our feet a couple of months before finally summing up the courage to do it. To our great delight, the instructions were very easy to follow and we figured it out! We were so impressed with the technology! We got our whole house mapped, we even got fancy and ‘merged’ to areas into one, then we let Kermit (that’s what we named ‘him’) have at it. We have used the Roomba for years but have wanted a vacuum that also mops the floors. Having this one is AMAZING! I have a bad back, and vacuuming and mopping (especially the latter) cause me to be in severe pain for hours after cleaning. My husband vacuums, but he does not mop as well as I do, haha. This robot is just what we needed. It’s wonderful you can use it just for vacuuming, or both vacuuming and mopping. We set up areas where the mopping is skipped (carpets, rugs, etc) and it was way easier than we we had anticipated, even for a couple of old school, not too technologically savvy people. Great buy!!!
