- Roborock robot vacuum only supports 2.4G WiFi. However, since most routers support both have 2.4G and 5G, in order to ensure the machine’s stability, it is recommended to switch to 2.4G WiFi when using the robot by following the instructions of your router setup.
- 7-Weeks of Hands-Free Cleaning: The Auto-Empty Dock Pure empties the robot automatically after cleanup, so you don’t have to do it manually or frequently. With its 2.5L dust bag it stores up to seven weeks of debris. Perfect gifts for families and friends.
- Deeper Cleaning with Powerful 4200Pa Suction: With an incredible maximum suction power of 4200Pa, the Q7 Max+ easily lifts debris and pet hair from floors, drags it from cracks, and draws it from carpets. When a carpet is detected, it will automatically increase its suction to the maximum for deep cleaning.
- Twin Cleaning Power: Vacuum and mop at the same time to remove fine dust that vacuuming alone may miss. Equipped with an electronic pump, the Q7 Max+ offers 30 water flow levels so you can fine-tune cleaning to match your floor types and preferences.
- Clean Smarter with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation: Extremely accurate LiDAR navigation creates precise maps of your home, effectively tracks cleaning routes, unlocks a wide range of smart cleaning functions, and can even be viewed in 3D. You can also add furniture and floor materials to recreate your home virtually.
- Combined Dustbin & Water Tank: Combining the 470 ml dustbin and 350 ml water tank has made both larger, so that you can clean more without emptying or refilling.
- Upgraded Brush System: An all-rubber brush strongly resists hair tangles making it ideal for tackling long hair and pet hair. With four planes of movement, it stays close to the floor for more effective cleaning on uneven surfaces.
- Long-Lasting Cleaning: A super-sized battery powers the robot for up to 180 minutes of runtime, or a maximum vacuuming range of 3229 sqft. Robot vacuum only supports 2.4G WIFI.

Works better than expected and it maps multiple floors with ease.

Okay, yes it’s the only robot vacumm I’ve ever had so far, but this has already sold me on always buying Roborocks in the future!
Now although this is my first one, I know several friends, my brother, and father who got different brands because they were on sale and pretty cheap. I think they were iRobots and Shark brands. My friend just stopped using his iRobot ones because he got tired of them always getting stuck. The brand my father has bumps into everything and he doesn’t think it’s doing a great job because it’s been cleaning for months and still comes back so full he has to empty it in the middle. My brother has similar experience with his, having to empty it at least once a day and it bumps into everything so he has to move a lot of things out of the way to get everything.
But this Roborock is solid! The first cleaning I did with it, it got a lot of loose carpet, mostly because I didn’t do the prevacumming that it suggested, but after that it’s been fine. The base station is great, it’s been a couple of months and I still haven’t had to empty it.
The mapping is amazing and you can not only see the map on your phone but make adjustments to it. You can set invisible boundaries, section or seperate rooms(which is helpful for cleaning schedules), setup the types of floors so it knows what to do in various areas, and set no mopping areas to fine tune rooms. That’s right it has a mopping feature too! I love that because I hate mopping, it’s not so much the mopping but dealing with bucket water and cleaning mop and all that after words.
If I had one complaint it’s that the mopping solution you can buy for it the ratio is like 1:100 or something like that, so for the water container it’s like 1ml of cleaning solution. Luckily I had a dropper bottle lying around and I now use that to measure the solution since it’s a 1ml dropper.

UPDATE: The Roborock S4 appears to have been discontinued. Don’t be confused because this product page name has been changed to say S4 MAX. This is the page for the original S4 — NOT the newer S4 MAX! They are very different vacuums!
The Roborock S4 is the perfect robot vacuum for you, if:
– You have a single level home
– You have primarily hardwood floors
– Your home doesn’t have any high thresholds (over 1/2″) for the robot to cross
– Any rugs in your home are low and tightly woven — not plush pile
I start by mentioning these negatives because they are what makes this particular model Roborock so GREAT, but not the right choice for everybody (see below for my recommendations on other Roborock models if this one isn’t for you). I’m attaching a video of the S4 STRUGGLING WITH A PILE RUG so you can get a sense of whether you need to choose a different model like the S4 MAX. Note that it handled other rugs in my home just fine).
The S4 is great because it has all of the features that have made Roborock the “top pick” in so many robot vacuum tests, but strips away the features you may not need if you just want vacuuming for a single level. So it has no mopping capability. It has no multi-floor mapping support. And it has lower clearance: It rides 0.2″ closer to the ground than other Roborock models. This is why it’s perfect only for certain homes, but this is also why it’s such an amazing value.
Now, why is it so great?
FIRST: Roborock’s S Series robots are in general the brand to buy if your home is anything but the simplest little apartment. The thoughtful design, usability of the app, and the LIDAR navigation on these robots puts Roborock head-and-shoulders above anything else in this price range (other brands have some of these features but cost twice as much). Among the benefits of Roborock’s S Series:
– Precise mapping means shorter clean times, which means less wear and tear on the robot, and presumably a longer life
– Less bumping into furniture
– After it maps your home, it divides the map into rooms for easily scheduling and even spot cleaning
– Precise no-go zones and invisible walls, if you want the robot to avoid certain spots
– Multi-floor support: After your home has been mapped, you can drop the robot on another level and it recognizes where it is and gets to work.
– LIDAR navigation works in complete darkness (some other brands need the lights on to navigate)
– Incredibly easy to empty and easy to clean dust bin and roll bar (the ends pop off making it easy to slip off any tangled hair)
– Pop-out washable HEPA filter
– Tiny, unobtrusive dock that can easily be moved
– Good support with regular firmware and app updates that keep making the experience better
The ONLY thing that should give anyone pause about Roborock is that they just haven’t been around that long. We don’t know how long these robots really last. However, we do know that the company support has been terrific so far.
If this isn’t the right vacuum for you, consider these other Roborock models:
If you want vacuum-only, but have a more complex home with thick carpet or multiple levels, then the newer S4 MAX is probably the perfect robot for you. This is what I exchanged my S4 for. The S4 MAX has multi-floor mapping support, can climb up to 0.79 inches, and it boosts suction power when it detects that it’s on carpet. It does not have mopping capability.
If you have a lot of tile floors, you may be interested in mopping capability (these robots mop only with plain water, which I don’t really recommend for hardwood floors). Roborock has many models that mop, but only the higher-end models such as the S5 MAX have an electronic water tank that lets you tell the robot exactly where to mop. I recommend looking at the S5 MAX if you want to both vacuum and mop on the same level and have the robot know what to do, automatically mopping some zones and skipping others.
If you have an all tile home, then a simpler model that just turns the mop on with a switch would save you money. The S6 PURE has a water tank that’s not “smart.” You just turn it on with a switch and it mops everywhere (you can also turn the mop off and have it vacuum).
If you want to save money and have a small space like a simple apartment without many obstacles to navigate, then you might consider the Roborock E4. It’s much less expensive (they recently had a 1-day sale that brought the price below $200). The E4 does NOT map your rooms like the fancier S series. It uses gyroscope navigation instead of LIDAR, but that’s still much better and more efficient than the old fashioned random bouncing around robots. You can’t divide the map into rooms with no-go zones, but if you don’t have a big, complex home, and you are fine just having the robot vacuum the whole place at once on a regular schedule, then the E4 could be a really good choice.
The very top of the line Roborock models like the S6 MaxV don’t vacuum any better than these less expensive models. What you get for that price is onboard cameras with obstacle avoidance technology, so the robot won’t try to ride over a stray pair of socks, or a loose cord, or dog poop.
If you aren’t in a hurry, then I suggest monitoring the Roborock website (and this page) for sales. Roborock is generally value priced, which is nice, but they sell primarily through Amazon and they do run really big sales on different models from time to time.

You’re paying a premium for two features here : vacuum intelligence and in-app mapping. Those two features were important to me so I didn’t mind. If you don’t care about those things, go for a cheaper model like Eufy.
If you mind, the S4 is a damn good choice. The mapping is outstanding, controlling this vacuum from my smartphone is surprisingly convenient, you can also point it to a place so it only goes there, was useful to me as i cook a lot with flour. The S4’s map makes it smart and efficient, it will do the contour of the room, then zigzag in straight lines as much as it can. It also doesn’t care about most carpet, only struggling with the highest ones we use as a welcome mat. It had issues with bar stools, as it tried non-stop to climb the rounded sides, but I was able to setup a no-go zone in the app so it ignores the bar stools.
Great mid-range vacuum. If you wanna spend the money to get past entry-level products, this is a great choice.

Este aparato ha cambiado mi vida, tengo pisos limpios todos los dias. Es una excelente aspiradora pero no es muy buen trapeador, aun asi le doy 5 estrellas porque la aspiradora por si sola es suficiente razon para comprala
