This steam mop Is so easy to use, moves easily across my tile floors and cleans them so well. Love it! Wish I’d purchased this mop years ago!!

The main problem is that since it does not stand up by itself. it can topple over all the time. Finally it damages the mop, which is not all that sturdy. I do not see any advantage in the “no touch” system. It is quite complicated, and not so easy to clean on both sides as claimed. A very good product, if you are very careful about taking care of it , as it is not all tha sturdy,

Shark steam mop arrived today. I couldn’t wait to put it together (easy) and try it out on the kitchen floor. WOW!
Followed directions, it is pretty easy to use, superior cleaning. Considering the dogs tracked mud after dinner …. the unit handled it with no problems what so ever. Can’t wait to try on bathroom floors. This weekend I will venture the dining room floor … I’ve been hesitant to put steam on it. Will let you know if I am successful or not. To those of us who are seniors …. it’s metal. Very little plastic.
Thank you.

This is awesome it cleans and sanitizes with no chemicals just distilled water. It is fast and easy to use. You can just wash the pads in the washing machine so it’s low maintenance. The only downside I can see is it doesn’t sit on its own you have to lean it against something. I wish it had an attachment that you could hang it on the wall since it’s not freestanding. But it’s a small issue.

We own an AIRBNB and this assures us of clean sanitized floors after each guest. Easy and quick to set up and use on all floors.

I am not a professional cleaner or someone with a cleaning business, I’m just a woman that lives alone who got sick of using traditional mops to clean her apartment. I had a cheap libman mop that broke but was never that great to begin with, so I decided to buy a steam mop. I read reviews for so many different mops it became overwhelming. I finally picked this one since I guess this brand is pretty reliable for people.
Pros: This mop is super easy to use and store. It doesn’t take up a lot of space.
The buttons arent confusing and there aren’t a bunch of different settings that don’t make sense. There’s one button, you press that button to put it in standby mode and then when you’re ready to use it you press it again and it starts releasing steam. When you want to pause for a second you press the button to put it back in standby mode. When you’re done you unplug it and let it cool off.
The pads are machine washable and reusable.
Cons: it’s not the best at cleaning really tough stains tbh. There’s a power steam function where when you’re using the rectangle pad you can flip it over and a stronger burst of steam comes out. The direction of that steam is kind of all over the place, so I cant just aim the steam at one particular spot. You can get a tough stain out if you scrub and scrub for awhile, but the toughest stains I had on my hardwood floors are still there. Ill have to get down on the floor and scrub those by hand.
Final verdict: I won’t be returning this, I like this mop. I’m not willing to pay any more than what this costs, so for the price this is a great mop. Knowing everything I know now I would still purchase it if I could go back in time.
By the way I didn’t use distilled water but that’s only because I have covid and couldnt leave my apartment to go and get some. It worked perfectly fine with regular tap water but to preserve the lifespan of the product I’ll order some distilled water.

Many outside reviewers of this steam mop said that steam mops don’t do any better a job than a mop and bucket. This is true. They don’t deep clean, but then neither does a mop and bucket. Keep your expectations realistic: you still have to wipe up the the big messes when they happen and sweep up debris. It doesn’t dissolve solids or vacuum them up. It’s a mop, not miracle worker. My house is 90% tile in southern Arizona. Between the dust that blows in, the dust that somehow shows up even when the house is closed, and the cat litter dust in their bathroom, I deal with a lot of dust. I mopped a few days ago for the last time. I ordered my Shark after dumping the last bucket of water and tossing the mop on the patio to dry. My Shark arrived today. I steam mopped the whole house in much less time and with better results. It took 3 full cleaning pads (both sides) and 4 refills of the water tank. It’s very maneuverable in tight spaces, especially in small bathrooms. The concentrated steam spray is really nice feature. Changing the pads is quick and easy after you get the hang of it. The refill pads fit perfectly. The only thing I wished was that the water tank was a bit larger, but I’ll sacrifice that for not having to carry a bucket of water all over the house, dumping and refilling, and waiting for the floors to dry. I’m very happy with the Shark Genius Steam Pocket Mop System (S6002). My only regret was not buying one sooner.
