I am a long-time pet owner and I have owned more carpet cleaners than most. This one is everything I want in a carpet cleaner. First of all, it works well – which is the most important. Second, it’s lightweight compared to others I have had. It is easy to get out for a quick clean-up when needed. And, finally, it is really easy to clean. I highly recommend this product.

I have a pet and have been happy with my Hoover vacuum so I purchased their pet carpet washer. I needed this to clean two 8 ‘X 10’ area rugs. Worked well enough first use. Started to smell smoke and belt broke on second use. I wasted 3+ hours on the chat then phone then email customer service system. I had to disassemble the unit 2X as they demanded photos, that I sent. Was only given belt, despite my concern that that would not be enough to fix issue . They said that the part would take 10 days to get here. So after having just purchased a carpet washer I had to renting a Bissell unit to finish washing my carpets as I could not let the wet dirty mess for 10 days.
I waited a while to install the belt as I had no pressing need to use unit.. Today I needed to clean carpet so I installed the belt, easy to do, and set up to wash carpet. The unit was used for less than 3 minutes before it started to smoke, again. I powered it off and asked spouse to go to local hardware store to yet again rent a Bissell unit to finish the job. While I am waiting for the rental unit to get here I attempted to get help from Hoover but phone lines are closed and the online chat service is a joke.
Disappointed in this purchase. The amount of headache and time/money wasted the Hoover can not be ‘made right’. If I ever get any further with customer support I will update this review, but not optimistic.

Bought because it’s was Consumer Reports recommend choice. Don’t know if it’s the machine or the liquid formula, but both worked well to clean up pet messes – even ones that we had a professional cleaner come out and clean but didn’t fully do the job.
Absolutely lives up to the billing.

We used this on some fairly dirty rugs, and it did a great job. The next day when we tried to use the hand held upholstery cleaner, the vacuum worked but no spray came out. We worked through all the trouble shooting and finally went on the Hoover site for support. A chat bot and I worked through the options and when it promised to put a human on line, I got the message that no one was available. I tried the phone number, and I get the message that the office is closed. This despite their listing the office hours seven days a week. Tried 4-5 times on different days.
So…I give this a 5 stars for floor cleaning, 1 star for hand unit and customer service.
