For an inexpensive machine with a slow motor, this sweeper is remarkably effective in picking up dog hair and debris from hardwood, carpet and shaggy carpets. I’ve had the shark sweeper for many years and this motor is not as strong so your motions are quite a bit slower but it does the same job. I’ve used it 5 times now for at least 10 minutes each time and the battery charge still hasn’t run out. My only complaint is emptying the dust pan requires digging your fingers in and pulling out the hair. This is very useful for in between vacuuming and for homes with a shedding dog!

So far this sweeper has worked well . Before recharging you are suppose to run it until it is fully discharged . When you start to recharge the button has to be pushed in the off position but here is where it is tricky . There is nothing on the button to indicate if it is on or off . Very confusing . I would consider this a design flaw . If you mistakenly charge it for 12 hrs on the off button it will not charge at all and you will have 12 hours of time . Whether it is on the on or off position the red indicator light which indicates it is charging comes on . So very confusing .

I have already gone through 2 of these. The first one lasted for about 3 years, and the second one lasted for just a year. They begin to lose power and they sound like they need to be charged, but they don’t

The sweeper is defective and will not hold a charge. Tried to return but will have to pay return shipping.

I have this a 3 star cuz I had high hopes after reading the reviews. To be clear, this is NOT a vacuum. It’s a sweeper that collects the debris with a rolling head. Has no “sucking” component.
Got this to clean my dogs shedding. Good as a daily tool, except the hairs get stuck on and around the sweeper which then just travels and falls off as I’m using it. You also need to move SLOWLY to ensure the rolling head catches small debris like sand. It was great for first few weeks of use or so ( used almost daily). You do need to clean the sweeper very often to ensure it’s not just pushing stuff around.
I’ve reverted back to swifter for hairs but finish off with sweeper to collect the debris the swifter gathers at the end.

This is not a heavy duty machine in anyway or form. It’s for picking up dust or bread crumbs but it can also sweep your rug. I used it weekly for about an hour each time for 4 carpets (1.5 meters x 1 m) and occasionally the wood parquet floor or tile floor. It worked fine for 6 months and then the battery dies. From about 4 moths it starts to deplete sooner than an hour of use. You can’t use it with the cord in the electric plug, unlike a vacuum cleaner. Bissel costumer support was more than helpful as they sent a replacement via Fedex as the warranty is for 1 year. So in about a week I had a new sweeper. The same trend and the new one died in 6 months as well.
Cleaning and using it is easy. You can just empty the removable dust container. The brushes can and should be cleaned with a comb. I actually used water and soap to clear the removable dust container and the brushes as well. I’d dry it and then let it air for a few days before recharging.
It’s quiet so you can use it if someone is sleeping in a room nearby. Unlike a manual sweeper you can use this battery operated one gently so as not to damage the furniture as a result of moving the manual sweeper forward and backwards.
I thought it was worth the low price, despite it not lasting.
I ended up buying a vacuum cleaner from the same company, Bissel, and I’m happy! (1668C Zing Bagged Canister Vacuum) I recommend a vacuum cleaner if it’s the only thing you want to buy.

Bought this for my 90 yo Mom, and she loves it! Runs great and is so quiet! If you want a great sweeper, this is the one for you!

To be fair, it does work – it picked up the big debris from my bare floors. It was nice and quiet, too. The handle could be a little taller. My issue with this is that it seemed to miss the ‘oomph’ I thought it would have. I left it charging a fair amount of time, thinking it was low on battery, but it was still lacklustre. I didn’t like that I had to pass over the same spot a few times in order to really pick up the finer/dustier debris. In the end, I ended up washing it and noticed it’s not the easiest thing to clean. The dust receptacle pops up and you tip it over to get rid of all the dirt and dust, but it would be nicer to be able to list the lid of the receptacle and pop it on/off completely. There’s also a fair amount of nooks and crannies where dust will gather. I did end up cleaning it all, however, so not the end of the world.
In the end, I just felt that for not even a third of the price, I could get a really nice broom and dustpan and use that instead, which is what I’ve opted to do.
On a more positive note, it seemed to do well on the area rug and low pile carpeting I have. I’m guessing this sweeper would be better appreciated if you have kids or pets and you just want a quick picker-upper without needing a deep clean.

I thought this had suction like a vacuum but it doesn’t. It is just a sweeper like the ones used in restaurants. It’s ok. Does the job in my kitchen if nothing is stuck to the floor.
