Thought about this purchase for a long time because of the price. Not sorry in the least
Works very well on carpet even fluffs the carpet. Works on rugs and hard floors. String suction Attachments stored in the canister are so they’re handy. Would buy again if I needed a new vacuum cleaner

I bought this to replace my Kenmore Whispertone Powermate which stopped working after twenty years. I was thrilled that my Kenmore lasted all those years so I wanted to buy another high quality vacuum that would hopefully last as long. After reading all the reviews I decided to buy this Miele, and I am very happy with its performance, it lives up to all the positive reviews. It has powerful suction and is very quiet compared to my old vacuum. I have a very short pile rug and I use the upholstery setting because I find it less strenuous than the other settings but it still works well because the suction is powerful enough. If I want to vacuum my floors I simply press the foot switch which is a very convenient feature. With my old Kenmore I had to keep changing the floorheads back and forth. However, I am having trouble getting used to this new vacuum because my old Kenmore was almost self-propelling and this one is much harder to push and pull around my home. It might not be a problem for a younger person but for a senior it feels like a work out. Luckily, I live in a small apartment but I don’t know how I would manage if I had a big house to vacuum. I may at some point replace my carpeting with wooden floors and that would fix the problem. I am giving this 5 stars because it is my fault for not selecting a vacuum cleaner better suited for seniors.

Second time I used it, the dirt got past the bag and went through the entire motor and out the exhaust. Complete mess, and clogged the motor. Terrible bag design for this to happen.

Had a Miele compact before, lasted year and years. My cat ate through the power cord, so I got rid of it. This one is even better, suction is incredible, noise is reasonable. Watch it, tho, as this doesn’t have the parquet twister, the best attachment for hardwood floors, which I bought separately. You don’t have to get it, but it’s nice to have.
Due to the bag, there’s no smell, ever. It’s big so it takes ages before you have to replace it. The attachments inside the unit are so incredibly handy. I had a cordless for a bit, but found the path to the bin was so often clogged due to good but not great suction.
Expect maintenance from time to time over the 10-15 years you’ll own this, like the retractable cord failing. These things are tanks, other than the minor issue that the outside of the unit can get scratched, so if you want it to keep looking nice try not to bump too much and help the cord retract without hitting the sides.
The steel want is awesome, reaches far, making stairs super easy.
Lots of innovations in vacuums, but really old school cannisters made by Miele are the best.

Light, quiet and efficient. BUT just dismantled the TurboteQ head to remove dog hair from the gears. No fun, but it had been a few years. There are serviceable parts (brush roller, belt) inside. Here’s the kicker. You cannot find rollers anywhere so that when the brush head is worn you have to replace it with another $150 TurboteQ head. Not cool. Not only expensive, but a lot of wasted landfill. Would consider another product based on this alone.

This vacuum cleaner is a champ, it really cleans well, and has several suction levels and tools. However, I wish I had read the reviews before buying it. I have arthritis in my wrists, and tussling with the very bulky wand is painful for me. I’m sure Miele built it like this for longevity. It’s impressive and will probably last forever, but it’s not ideal for those who are older and have aches and pains. If you’re young and strong, it’s a five star, but if you’re not, it’s a three star. I split the difference and gave it a four star rating.

I love this vacuum. I was so excited to get it on the recommendation of the ‘Clean Mama’ blog. It is powerful and QUIET. It’s not silent but if you’re used to a shark or dyson this will be such a welcome relief. Someone can vacuum on the floor above and I might not know it I’m not paying attention.
I love that all the different nozzles store right inside the canister. No more lost pieces. The retractable cord cuts out that couple minutes carefully winding the cord back into place (or discovering someone hasn’t put the cord away at all.)
The suction is excellent, it’s very powerful. It’s adjustable for different levels of power for different types of flooring. It comes with a rug and hardwood head as well as a rotating carpet head. The handle is adjustable from very short to very very tall. My 4 year old loves to help out and vacuum and the shortest setting is very comfortable for her. It’s also very comfortable on a higher setting for my 6 foot partner.
All the buttons are so strategically placed that it’s all a breeze. And I was so opposed to bags but I always had messes dumping out my bagless dysons and shark. This is entirely messless, not even a drop of dust when you change the bag. Honestly, if you get a Miele you don’t ever go back. Everything is so well though out.

Worst Miele ever, unless your going to use it for bare floors ONLY, then it’s a good vacuum but if you want to vacuum any rug ( low pile, high pile, deep pile, ) or pet hair on anything, this vacuum stinks!! I owned a Miele upright , which I gave to my daughter because it was to heavy for me with arthritis developing, had it for many years and it was excellent!! This vacuum isn’t worth the money and I now have to actually buy another vacuum to clean my low pile rugs because this this doesn’t work….please take my advice and not waste your money on this piece of crap!!

My boyfriend and I love this vacuum, it’s not super loud on it’s max performance either, you can hold conversation pretty well while it’s going and the cord retracts nicely and is a good length for moving around. The suction power is really good, though there is a better power head you can get apart from the one this comes with although it can be a few hundred bucks brands new.
Definitely recommend!

I wanted to get away from bagless mess of my Dyson and was intrigued with the videos and reviews of this model that addressed the issue. I also liked that it includes a good filter system. It is a very quiet vacuum and has very good suction, however, it is a little heavier and more cumbersome than expected. It requires a bit more physical effort on carpet.

I try to write reviews for stand-out items & this is one of them. I did my vacuum research & came to Amazon looking for this specific vacuum. You get what you pay for, it works like a dream, has power only a plug-in vacuum can. Easy to move, assemble, change parts & bag, it’s a 10/10. It’s worth it, top tier vacuum. I am at the age where vacuums excite me apparently.

This is my second Miele to keep upstairs in a second story home. This is a quality product that has variable suction selections from drapes to carpet it hardwood floors and a variety of attachments that do the job! Highly recommend
