Tammy –
First day mom received her vacuum she had to try it. She said it is amazing. So much suction that she has to keep her foot on the area rugs to be able to move the vacuum over them.

Great vacuum cleaner, the turbo brush is a must, works great. Love this vacuum cleaner even more than my Dyson. The suction power is awesome. Highly recommend!!!

This guy replaced two other vacuum cleaners that we had for carpet and floors. It works great, with tremendous suction that is very easily adjusted for more delicate rugs, etc. It’s nice and light, so easy to use on the stairs and it is much quieter than the old cleaners. I absolutely LOVE how well the air that cycles through the cleaner is filtered before blowing back into the room. We’re very happy with our new Miele vacuum and find it to be worth every penny, as long as it lasts, which we fully expect.

I bought this Miele vacuum to replace a Dyson which had broken. I had heard good things about these lower end Miele C1 vacuums, but was skeptical. However, this little vaccum is far superior to the Dyson I had. The suction is far better and is adjustable via a dial on the back of the vaccuum – which is perfect when you want to switch between vacuuming something delicate like fabric blinds to something that needs some super suction, like and entry rug. The bag takes a reasonable amount of time to fill, despite its small size. A plus for the bags is no more dust flying around trying to empty the bagless Dyson cannister, but it is an additional cost having to re-buy bags.
I mainly marked the Miele down a star because of the poor tool storage – the attachments are stored in a cheap little clip on at the base of the hose. Its easy to knock them off.

I’m a simple man and I appreciate quality. This thing is dripping with quality.
Not interested in Dyson because I don’t like overpaying for something that looks futuristic but actually isn’t. I would rather go for a company that is less widely popular, but has made quality products in the industry for many years. Miele fit this bill and I have no regrets spending the money on it.
I’ve tried cordless vacuums and cheaper vacuums. Cordless vacuums simply don’t do a good enough job to justify having one around. You’re basically leaving 40% of debris behind on whatever you’re trying to clean. For the sake of not having a cord. Yuck. That’s not my style at all. When I clean, I want the thing clean. Spent $150 on a cordless which I regret.
I’ve tried cheaper corded vacuums and although the suction power is decent they all lack something which make them feel like a complete cleaning solution.
I should have just foregone all those and bought a Miele right off the bat. Here’s why it is amazing and a 5/5 overall:
– Suction power is amazing. 1200W motor so there you go. It doesn’t play around and it doesn’t sound obnoxious either.
– The bag system is much preferred. I’m so over dumping debris in a garbage can and trying to dodge a cloud of dust. Just take the bag and throw it away. I don’t mind paying a little more over a lifetime of use and never having to worry about breathing in all the crap the vacuum just sucked up ever again.
– Filtration system is genius. The air feels so clean after vacuuming there you would think you are in a different environment after.
– The vacuum is simple yet I’m able to clean the whole house effectively with it. A simple swap of the tool head and I can reach all corners of the ceiling. Cobwebs, spider webs, dust, all gone. The wheels keep it maneuverable and allow it to swivel easily. It has a button to retract the cord so you don’t have to wind it up after like most vacuums in the $200 range. Not the longest cord ever but it’s fine and feels sturdy.
– Once you are done with it, the vacuum slides into place to become one piece, and tucks into your closet, taking up minimal space. How considerate.
Great buy and I’m very happy because my living space is fresh and clean!

Very good machine.

This vacuum has strong suction and is quiet and light. The hardwood attachment is fairly wide and does a good job on open areas. It’s almost too wide for stairs if you are working your way down, but okay if moving up. The turbo carpet cleaner does a decent job, but if you turn the suction all the way up it will dig in making it hard to move back and forth across the carpet. The cord is shorter than what I’m used to so I have to unplug it more often. Overall, I’m satisfied with this vacuum and plan to keep it since most of my floors are hard wood. If I had a house full of carpet, I’d get something with a better carpet cleaner.

I have 50% hardwoods, 25% linoleum, and 25% carpet in my house. Been using a Dyson Ball for 4 years. It was not bad. Super easy to transition from hard surface to carpet. But, when I followed up with mopping, I always got really dirty mop water. I assumed that’s why you mop! Lost the Dyson for personal reasons, so had to get a new vacuum. At $299 I thought I would give this thing a shot, but was slightly worried about the carpet performance, and having to switch heads. Neither is an issue. I store whichever head I am not using in the “park” slot. It takes about 8 seconds to swap them. Love how I can turn the suction up or down. That is a feature which will spoil me; don’t think I can go back to NOT having it. Mobility is great, no issues whatsoever. The cord is slightly short, but truly not an issue. If it starts to bug me I will buy a 10 foot extension and keep it coiled on the vacuum. Three whole house cleanings (floors, walls, cabinets… everything) and the bag full indicator is still not showing. I don’t think bags are going to be a concern.
More on the turbo carpet head: I was worried that the whole “suction power to make it spin” feature was marketing bull, but it’s not. That thing is awesome. You will tinker with the settings a little as you dial in what level you need for your carpet style, but it works great. The entire learning curve takes about a minute, maybe two. I even had to turn the suction power down slightly, as it will lift the carpet up from the floor at the highest setting! I’m not talking about an area rug – actual installed carpet over padding.
PROs:
Cost- at $299 this is a bargain
Performance- clean mop water!
Utility- I can get under my entire couch all the way to the wall (no furniture moving)
Quite- I actually wore earplugs with the Dyson (overkill, but it was loud). This thing is super quite in comparison
On board storage of tools- means you won’t lose them, or lose time using them
Versatility- turning suction up or down on the fly is amazing
CONS:
Bags- better for cleanliness, but you will need to keep spares
Cord- longer is better, but I’m good with it
It’s just a vacuum, but I really love this thing. I’m a very firm believer of having the right tool for the job. For me, this is the right tool.

Most powerful vacuum I have used. My old canister vac cleaned well but was very heavy and bulky. Cleaning with the Miele is much easier and more efficient. There is one attachment for rugs and one for bare floors. In addition there are three smaller attachments useful for cleaning curtains, upholstery, lampshades, baseboards, etc. It was a splurge but so far has been worth it. The unit is maneuverable and takes little space to store.
