I have never spent more than $79 on a vacuum cleaner so I wasn’t sure what I would get for this amount of spend. This vacuum is ++ really ++ well-built and powerful. I was able to vacuum my entire 1350 sq. foot condo on a single charge at highest setting. The unit is really easy to maneuver around obstacles and easily rides up close against walls and under furniture. I have had cheap cordless stick type vacs in the past that are junk and there is no real comparison here. I am extremely happy but there is one thing missing… no LED headlights! I have gotten used to them on all my previous vacuums. With that I would have awarded 5-star review. While I am complaining, the wall mount is nice, but the plastic used could be more rigid. It is rather flimsy considering the weight of the vacuum. That said I am still recommending highly as an extremely well-designed cleaning tool.

This vacuum is great, the suction is strong on med or turbo and the brush roller for the VCN 4 picks up all the dirt and dust
The only problem is when I bought this I expected the roller clearance to be as shown in the images. I purchased because my dog brings a lot of leaves into the house so I wanted something that could pick them up.
When mine arrived it had a black rubber strip that blocked most of the clearance shown in the pictures. It’s removable which I did to make it look like it does so no big deal.

Update 6 months of owning:
I’ve put this vacuum through the wringer. Unintentionally used the vacuum to soon after cleaning filters with water and sucked a bunch of water into the motor. It won’t turn on and I’ve thought it was dead several times. I let it sit for 24 hours with the filter out so it can dry and it comes right back and works like new. This thing is bombproof, couldn’t recommend it more

I’ve owned four cordless vacuums so far, and this one is hands down the best value for my money. The adjustable speeds make it perfect for the hardwood and the heavy carpet and the power level is super clear and easy to understand. I gave it the ultimate test on my carpeted stairs in a house with seven pets, and it was up to the challenge and then some. I don’t think my stairs have ever been this clean! 10/10, I think this may be the last cordless vacuum I will buy!

It might be a little heavy on the wrists the 1st times you use it but then is not so bad. It stops working when the dust tank gets full and is very easy to clean it out.
It takes about 4 hours to charge and I have used it for close to 40 mins and battery was just fine.
You need to install the wall holder it comes with otherwise this won’t stand still on its own.
Suction power is nice too.

I am very disappointed with my Kärcher VCN 5 Cordless Stick Vacuum, which I purchased on January 27, 2024. It started having issues just 5 days ago, even though I only used it occasionally for small messes left by my cat. I prefer do wet cleaning.
At first, it worked well enough considering it’s a cordless system, but problems began when one of the screws on the hinge of the brush got loose. I tried to fix it, but it seems like the screw thread is stripped, preventing it from tightening properly.
I initially thought it might have been my fault for not handling it carefully, but today a new issue emerged: the flap inside the main unit, which prevents trash from coming back out, got stuck, causing debris to build up around it instead of going into the main bin. Even after I cleaned out the trash, the flap was still stuck and completely came out of its slots.
I’m shocked by this because German products usually have a reputation for being of high quality. I expected much better durability from a brand like Kärcher, and now I’m not sure how to fix it.
