I got lucky with Prime deal and purchase! It’s top quality and arrived packaged well. I’ve used it from day one and it vacuums both hardwood and carpet better than my Shark or Bissell. I was hesitant to buy it because of high price but so far it’s worked great. Easy to clean cannister out and versatile with attachments. Def worth every penny!

We really like our Dyson! This is our first Dyson. After shopping around for months, we settled on this model. It was fast to set up and install, and makes vacuuming regularly super easy. We had another brand of wireless vacuum before, but it lost power after 10 minutes. The Dyson stays powered up. It is also easy to purchase a variety of useful attachments.

My Dyson v8 died two weeks ago. Yes, it was just the battery and it lasted 6 amazing years. My plan is still to replace the battery and move it to the basement for use, but in the meanwhile I took advantage of Amazon Prime day to make the pricey purchase of the v15 plus!
It came in THREE boxes which was bizarre and wasteful, but the device was pre-charged so I put it to immediate use. In the short time I used it, it showed me how much those two weeks of no vacuuming made my house disgusting.
The green light showed EVERY piece of dust in my house. It also collected all of them too! It was amazing and made my OCD kick in to high gear. I happily could’ve vacuumed my whole house for the whole day if the battery had lasted that long.
I don’t think it was fully charged, but in AUTO mode it lasted about 25 mins. Switching to ECO mode showed an additional 10 mins on that time, but I decided to keep it in AUTO. ECO mode worked just as well, but slower.
(EDIT 7/27/24 : the battery was not full when I took it out of the box and it actually lasts about 50 mins in auto and 90 in eco!!! Amazing!!!)
It’s lighter than my v8 by maybe 1 lb(haven’t looked it up)? Super easy to use and I think most people would manage just fine.
Downsides in comparison are that the canister is bigger (that’s also a plus mind you – less emptying) so it doesn’t fully reach the halfway point under my queen bed like the v8 did. That being said, the profile of the hard wood attachment is shorter in height and reaches better under low furniture! The v15 also doesn’t rotate as easily on the hardwood and makes it a bit clunky at times.
Everything else is better though! Highly recommend purchasing (on sale), or if you time it right, get the exclusive v15 absolute on dysons actual website on sale. It wasn’t on sale for me and I couldn’t wait any longer without vacuuming.
(Just a note that my whole house is mostly hardwood, with only the basement being carpet – I haven’t tested the carpet tool out yet)

This new model is a huge step up from the previous v10. The amount of increased suction is VERY noticeable. The attachments and the way the vacuum opens/closes, etc appears to be all the same as the previous models, which is nice to use a few of the other attachments with no issues.
I’ve got mixed feelings about the “laser light” it has. Not because it doesn’t work but because it works well and shows just how dirty the floor is. This really highlights dirt like you would not believe.
The new hard floor attachment and small pet hair attachment heads are great and work exceptionally well.
The weight and balance seems to be about the same.
This is such a huge step up from the v10 model in just about every way I can see.

The Dyson V15 Detect Plus Cordless Vacuum is hands down the best vacuum I’ve ever used. It’s powerful, lightweight, and super convenient, but the real standout feature for me is the green laser! It works best in low light, and it’s amazing for finding all the hidden dog hair scattered across my floors—it picks up everything you can’t even see with the naked eye!
The suction power is incredible, and I love how easy it is to maneuver around furniture. If you have pets, this vacuum is an absolute must. Highly recommend!

I use the V15 for household cleaning and its performance is much better than my older upright Dyson. The cordless use is very helpful and its pick-up of fine dust on laminate flooring further warrants an excellent rating.

Not happy with Amazon. I ordered the vacuum on prime day and it never arrived. I had to call Amazon and they said it wasn’t delivered because it was broken in shipping? No one contacted me? Once I contacted them they said to cancel order $903.00 and I had to re order and the second order battery was not working? This cost me an extra $60 so it was $960.00. I called Dyson and they replaced the battery. Not happy with customer service at Amazon for large items. I should have had notice about the first one and then the second one they should have sent me a new battery. Disappointed in Amazon due to lack of customer service and getting the run around on the phone and finally talking to a human not a machine.

Dyson v15 detect Plus doesn’t work on my standard pile ( not shag, not high pile, not sculpted) rugs.
Using the ‘Digital Motorbar cleaner head’, which “adapts power across different floor types”, the bar turns and then stops, machine makes a whirring noise because it’s powering but wheel doesn’t turn. I lift the head and start again only to have it happen over and over. In those moments when the wheel is turning it is extremely difficult to push across the rug. Further, one of the attachments arrived with dust inside it- looks used.
I tried troubleshooting. The Dyson app is completely useless and only does a good job of trying to sell you another Dyson product. When l entered the serial number it gave me instructions for a product that cleans with water -not my model- useless.
I couldn’t find a clear explanation of what’s in the box, assembly or which attachments should be used for specific cleaning jobs. I found a User Manual online that should’ve been included in the box-or at least a QR code that links to it. That is also unclear about attachment uses.
I finally phoned Dyson customer service who wanted to do a video call to see the product in action. I advised l couldn’t do that right now and they hung up on me!
The question is: Is this product not suitable for rugs? The marketing copy says Yes!
That said, the suction is amazing. It’s more weight than l expected and requires much more effort than a traditional canister vacuum. Cordless feature is a pleasure. It’s going back.

This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. I absolutely love the green laser tracking for the dust on the ground. It comes with multiple vacuum heads so you can clean anywhere in your house or car. It’s very easy to set up and use the battery lasts for me to clean my entire house in one charge. It’s very light to hold an easy to maneuver. The cost is high but worth the value.

Its great suction is very strong, very well built, light and nibble easy to left over your head with out fatiguing you muscles over all its a great product. Only issue here is the price is expensive even though it performs really well not sure its worth the price ehh not sure yet time will tell. Also this runs on battery so you will get 15-40min depending how you use it eco mode or turbo mode. Also keep in mind batteries go bad over time so yea its a toss up.
