There is an internal flap on this vacuum that allows dust to come out after it’s been picked up. I spent hours chatting with a representative and going through all the troubleshooting only to have them tell me that there is nothing wrong. Even if the device is dumping dirt and dust in its wake. So disappointed. Of course my amazon return window closed and the company won’t take it back so I am out $$ and have to buy a new one.

For what we use it for, this little vac does a very good job! It has good suction, very useful flip-up crevice nozzle and brush roll attachment, good battery life (about 5-10 mins on full charge even after 3 years use!), durability and ease of use. I do miss the wall hanger/charger option some of the B&D and other more expensive vacs offer, but it can be worked around. The filter is easy to clean out and works well. The dust cup is a bit small and without a tool can be tricky to clean out at the tip, but you probably should dump one after every use anyway!
We’ve been using ours nearly 4 years now–the longest running hand vac we’ve owned! There are more powerful vacs with more features and longer run time, but you pay twice the price and then the batteries often fail after a couple years and cannot be replaced (seems planned?). We definitely got our money’s worth on a handy vac that does a good job! If you require a vac that does almost what an upright does, cleans a whole flight of carpeted steps, for large families, etc. then this may not quite do it, but for the average home this will do well!

I needed a little handheld vacuum for my finished basement “man cave” where my office and TV/stereo are. The room is carpeted and I needed something for quick clean ups of minor spills, crumbs, etc. This little Grab & Go 8-Volt is perfect. It works on the carpets as well as it works on tabletops. I love that it has the charging base, so it’s always charged up when I need it. The suction power is pretty good and has worked so far for all my needs. The filter is easy to remove and clean when needed, and the receptacle is a decent size and doesn’t fill up too quick. I bought a cheaper hand vacuum with no brand name a few months ago and it didn’t work well and the motor finally gave out. Was not worth the few extra dollars I saved. I can already tell this Dirt Devil is made better. Happy with my buy!

This vaccum is just great for around small areas and narrow spaces. I bought it for cleaning around my pc desk, inside pc itself and around my shelves. It picks up dust, dog hair and spider webs quite well and Its wireless. So its quick and easy too grab to for quick cleaning. There is no assembly required. Just set up the base and plug it in. It comes with an extension with a brush tip that can slide back out of the way and mounting screws to mount to a wall. The container just twists off for dumping out. The only cons I have is it is a little loud but that is expected and the filter inside the container feels like it might break when trying to dump out the filth. Overall nice little vacuum.

This is a pretty good little vacuum! It’s super lightweight, which makes it easy to grab and go, and I love that it’s cordless and rechargeable. No more tripping over cords! The suction is decent for small jobs like cleaning up in corners, drawers, and on counters. However, I wasn’t super impressed with how it handled my carpeted stairs, even with the brush attachment—it just didn’t seem to have enough oomph for that.
One quirky use we found for it is vacuuming up ladybugs that sneak into the house. My husband uses it all the time for that instead of squishing them on the walls! Overall, it’s great for quick, light cleanups, but don’t expect it to handle heavier stuff like a full-sized vacuum.

Fast charging, light weight, easy to clean and durable. Would highly recommend! Works great on stairs, most fabrics, and just the right size for every corner and nook. Not too loud my pets don’t mind the sound. Pretty strong suction for handheld without bulky weight. I’ve dropped it a few times and has continued to work great , very durable. Would recommend!

I like this handy vacuum because it’s very convenient to use. I use it whenever I’m too lazy to set up my normal-sized vacuum. It’s good for picking up everyday dirt.
However, the big downside of it is the battery life. You can only use it for up to 15-20 minutes continuously after it’s fully charged. Charge time lasts about 3 hours or so.
It gets 3 stars for me because even though it does what it is intended to do, the battery life sucks.

If you have small children and like a clean house, don’t pass on this great little vacuum. It’s perfect for all the little spills that happen with toddlers around the house and can handle even bigger pieces of debris like Chex mix or veggie straws. It’s small and unobtrusive on the counter and easy to empty and clean. I don’t know how long the battery lasts because I always place it back on the charger after cleaning. I imagine that’s how it’s meant to be used, not for extended cleaning and in no way could it replace your normal vacuum. Between this and my Bissell Pet Stain Eraser, I no longer worry about spills in my house. I honestly don’t know how I lived without it for so long. It’s perfect for what it does.
