I bought this blower to clear leaves and debris from my driveway and patio, and for that purpose it’s perfect. This blower is compact and lightweight, allowing me to easily maneuver around tight spaces and odd corners, and the blowing power, though modest, is more than adequate for jobs around the house. Keep in mind that this particular kit, the LSW321, comes with the 20V MAX* (2.0 Ah) lithium battery, which is significantly longer lasting than the 20V (1.5 Ah) lithium battery that comes with the LSW221.

If you’ve got a small yard and just need a light duty blower to clear the sidewalks and driveway, this does the job nicely. Its not as powerful as a plugin, but I’ll trade a little power for not having to fight with the extension cord. If you have a big hard or need it to do heavy work, this probably isn’t the right choice, but for the light work I need it to do, it’s perfect.

I thought I needed a leaf blower, but after a Web search I discovered I actually needed/wanted a sweeper (to replace the leaf blower I gave to my son). I needed something lightweight, cordless with enough power to blow out leaves in the garage, on the deck and front landing. After reading specs and reviews for various models and manufacturers I chose the Black & Decker 20V Max Cordless Sweeper with Power Boost. It is exactly what I needed. I am a 72 year old woman and I just don’t have the strength to hold a heavy blower any longer, but I still like to get chores done on my own. I can hold this with one hand without any problem and no fatigue and it is easy to maneuver. I feel like a kid with a new toy! The power boost button is a nice additional feature for when you need a little extra power. It is quieter than I expected, definitely quieter than a leaf blower. Using the cordless sweeper is so much quicker than using a broom for the jobs I mentioned (work smarter, not harder). I highly recommend this sweeper if you are looking for a light weight tool for the types of jobs mentioned. An added bonus for me is that I own a black and decker weedwacker. The rechargeable batteries are interchangeable so I will always have an extra one fully charged (info on the box says the charger should last 25 minutes unless you were using the power boost which will lessen that time). My son is happy with the leaf blower I gave him and I am even happier because I replaced it with a sweeper.

Bought a Worx Gutterpro WA4094 gutter cleaner at the same
time as this Black & Decker 20v LSW321 leaf blower. Figured I’d
had enough ladder climbing in my 86 years so decided to
splurge and go modern. I read all the reviews and couldn’t find
a gutter leaf blower specific to this B&D, and the description of
the Worx Gutterpro said “Universal fits all major brands” so decided
to take a chance.
Well, received both today and all looked good until I tried to
assemble the Gutterpro. It was supposed to be “Universal fits all
major brands”. Well, it doesn’t fit my new B&D blower, so it ain’t,
no way. Dang!
Apparently the mfgr’s are relying on the canvas bag (enclosed
with it) to do this, but it can not work on this little B&D. For one
thing the bag’s too big. And no place on the blower to connect a strap, bungee cord
or rope. Also, the hard plastic nozzle in the bag is about the
same diameter as the output nozzle of the blower and when the
bag is pulled on over the nozzle, it won’t pull up tight enough to
keep the bag from acting like a wet noodle. Impossible for one
person to use.
Sadly, I decided to send it back. Cancelled the purchase, went
thru the process. The Amazon software was very helpful, says I’ll
get a refund, etc.
While packing it up, I took a closer look at the canvas bag.
Turned it inside out and saw that the bag was being held onto the
plastic nozzle by a cable tie. I found that if I pushed the leaf
blower wand of my new B&D blower into the bags nozzle it would
go in over half the length of the wand and in that position it was
very tight. I then pulled the wand out, clipped the cable tie, used a hacksaw to cut it to
the length I wanted, applied some JB Weld epoxy on it for tight sealing and
shoved it as far onto the stub of the wand as it would go. Voila!
Simple, and I think it’ll be very ridgid and all of the pieces of the
Gutterpro will snap on as they were intended to.
Don’t yet know if the B&D blower will be be strong enough, but we’ll see.
I’m going to try to upload some pic’s with this. We’ll see how that goes.
Keep in mind, I haven’t tested this yet, I’ll let the JB Weld set till
tomorrow or the next day before testing. I’ll try to get back and
give the results once that happens.
This probably won’t be a fix for everybody due to the different
configurations of the many blowers, but it’s quick and simple,
almost anyone could do it if their existing blower wand will fit
inside the bag’s nozzle.
Update: I’m pleased to say this works just fine. The little blower is just strong enough to lift the dried leaves up and out of the gutter (didn’t blow all over me) and it’s light enough for me to handle with at least 3 of the wand extensions being used (maybe with all four), but I only needed three. Did the whole house in less than 30 minutes instead of two hours and best of all didn’t have to carry or climb a ladder!

Lightweight and small. Airflow is not that strong, but still I’d rather use this battery sweeper than clean everything with a broom.
There is a superwind button that I use frequently.
I found another usage for it: after rain, it helps me eliminate water on my backyard rug; this, it dries up quickly!

Bought it after extensive research and reading other reviews and we’ve used it almost everyday. We have a huge stone tile patio at the back with foliage from our neighbours trees including gazillion pine needles all over our property. Our carport driveway gets tons of leaves and debris blown in from the road and when we park our cars. This unit takes care of it all with ease and we get lots of mileage out of it.
Many comments note their dissatisfaction with the battery life. As this is part of B&D’s 20V collection, I own 2 other tools and have lots of spares including an extended battery that you can pick up at great sale prices if you look around. So its not a problem for us. The Powerboost option does make a difference in gets stuck on leaves off but if you use it constantly it will drain the battery down faster. We always have charged extra batteries if we need to Powerboost alot like say after a rainfall.
No more pine needles trekked into the house!

Got this as a ‘used good condition’ for less than 1/2 the regular price. What a deal !
Description said like new so I took a chance since it was returnable.
Item received was indeed like new. Looked like it had never been opened or used. Only the box was a bit beaten up with old stickers on etc.
Perfect for what I wanted it for – a low priced unit to use as a sweeper, not a full yard blower.
As some other have said its not that powerful. Better for small spaces.
I tried blowing leaves in the (5mph) breeze today and its not great.
But I only wanted it for blowing dry leaves and dirt out of my garage and from a small area on the front driveway. Its perfect for that.
If I need some heavy duty blowing I’ll have to plug in my old school corded blower which can almost move furniture on the middle speed ! 🙂

I’ve had it 4 months now. Not very powerful; but found ways to use it for small jobs. Took it out today and suddenly (like other reviewers) the on off thumb switch is impossible to move without pushing it with a small piece of wood. Don’t recommend.

It does blows the grass clippings off the drive well but do not ask it to blow any significant amount of debris off grass. It does not have the air flow required. It is light and easy to use.
