   I was seriously devastated when this machine “ malfunctioned”. It’s a amazing machine and I just loved it. The belt are easy to get to, clean up is a breeze, and performance is excellent. I know it’s confusing when I stated, don’t buy it, but rated it a 5 star then gave a good review. The company apparently doesn’t honor their warranty ( and this machine has a 5 year warranty). I’ve emailed them and there’s been no response, my sister had the same issue and she was told “ it’s the roller brushes “. No. Both machines smoked, all but caught on fire, and now they both sound horrible. I’m not begging or chasing customer service, they can email me, so everyone has proof of conversations. If they are calling me, then they should let the customer know it’s Bissell, otherwise my phone will silence the call. Meanwhile, I purchased a cheap machine to get me by & now I am considering a completely different brand/machine. Unfortunately, animals will suffer because of this ( bissell pet foundation). I will tell everyone I know about my experience, and will at some point make contact with bissell. So buyer beware and good luck. Finally my machine is a little over a year old. ( purchase date 4-28-2023)

   Ok so why not 5 stars? Well firstly the hose attachment isn’t worth a damn/did not clean anything. Second is that the tanks could be a lot bigger, I can’t even get 1/3rd of a bedroom done before the solution tank is empty, or the dirty water tank is full. Third, the directions say that when preheating for steam, the steam icon will stop flashing when it’s done warming….IT NEVER STOPS FLASHING.. Lastly it does not like to do the edges of the carpet, for which I’m thinking of buying the handheld version of this same machine.
   ANYWAY-This machine cleans absolutely great! I had some real problem areas that laughed at my old Bissell. One was a traffic pattern/mystery stain that my old machine would just kind of move around, but not get out of the carpet. The other areas were stains from furniture, like maybe I put my hassock down before the carpet was completely dry a few years ago, and some of the furniture stain from the wooden legs transferred to the rug..I thought THAT stain was there to stay, but this new machine got it out in just a couple of passes!. I don’t know if it’s because this machine has two brushes, instead of one, or because of the steam, or maybe it has better suction, but this machine works awesome, my carpets look brand new!

   I have used the old model for many years. The old model, which can often be found for half the price, is not a bad carpet shampooer and is better than its competition. However, the old pet pro plus had a lot of design defects. First, the old water chambers often leaked and broke. So often that I kept two spare chambers in the closet. Every time they broke your machine didn’t work until you got a new chamber and there was a clean and dirty chamber which would break far too often at a cost of about 35 dollars to replace. This new model is more expensive, but the water chamber defects that caused it to break over and over have been corrected. The water being applied to the carpet is very hot. So hot you can see the steam going on the carpet. It uses lots of water and sucks the water back in. You can clean over a spot the old carpet cleaner cleaned and still get dirt. The new model has brought back life and color to my 8-year-old carpet. This new model is well worth the money. This steam cleaner drops the old mechanical switch, which allows you to choose between a light cleaning which quickly dries, to deep cleaning. Instead, all the controls are in the handle and consist of an off-on switch and a settings switch. It is easy to verify which mode you are in because the floor tool lights up the icon for light and deep cleaning, depending on which mode you want. It was easy to miss which setting you were using on the old model with the switch on the side. The new model is well worth the added cost. It is easier to operate, maintain, lower cost in the long run, and gets the carpet cleaner.

   Bought this machine to replace an aging Bissell, for which parts were no longer available. The old machine did a decent job, so we stuck with Bissell this time round. This one was a little on the expensive side, nearly as much as the commercial machines they rent at big box stores. But being the cheap-azz that I am, I can only justify so much expense before the internal alarm bells sound.
   We’re a 4-dog household, so the battle to keep the floors (and everything else) clean never ends. The area rug in the pic has been with us a few years and, before I bought the Revolution, was looking for a replacement, as I believed it could no longer be made clean.
   In this case, I’m very happy I was wrong. Trust me, the picture does not do the before/after justice. On deep clean mode, using the deep clean shampoo, with about a quarter cup of Qxi-clean added, the rug looks nearly new – the cleanest it’s been since we brought home and subjected to the round-the-clock torture of constant canine traffic. After drying, it still looks that good – and smells great after the addition of a little (< teaspoon) Angry Orange odor control formula. Results on the rest of our carpets were comparable, and it hasn't been but a few months since the last whole-house cleaning.
   Hair removal is outstanding as well, but this cleaner handles hair a little differently, by simply slinging lifted hair into the removable brush guard. And, this thing pulls a LOT of hair out of the carpet. Even though we have a pet-rated vacuum that pulls a ton of hair, this unit pulled even more out, and I found myself just removing hair with each refill.
   If you can see your way to spending the extra, I heartily recommend this carpet cleaner. Like every new machine, this one does have a bit of a learning curve. But with a little patience and experimentation, you will be rewarded with surprisingly clean carpet and rugs.

   I have owned several different carpet cleaners and this blows them all out of the water. Went over an area that I had done 3 days before with my old machine before it randomly died, the water was black coming out of the carpet. Even on the deep clean setting it only takes a day for the carpet to dry. The machine is east to set up and even easier to use, I don’t use bissel solution I use HDX Extractor from home depot and it works great as long as you follow the instructions on the bottle not the lines on the jug. The part I love is how easy it is to clean the head, not to mention how easy it is to remove the dirty water container.
