huck fenn –
great product but changed mind on finish, so we sent it back and bought one in oil rubbed bronze

Perfect replacement for the old style head, just make sure you get the right color.
Carrie Vibbert –
Good distribution of steam. It comes out the sides so not directly at you. Appears to be safer to me that way.

Very nice steam head, used in my remodel for an existing half inch NPT pipe. Simple modern look. My system was an older model thermasol and this was a great find and great price post retiling of the steam shower.

Item is symmetrically kind of awkward too small for its application

Nice looking upgrade. Heavy thick polished steel, plastic mounting backing piece.
The metal cover slides over and tightens with allen wrench. 1/2” fpt.
Make sure you have at least 3/8” mpt from the wall to get this little sucker on.

I purchased this after asking a question. The assertion was that it was a suitable replacement. Turns out the Kohler steamhead is conical in shape and the hole in the tile is too large to be covered by this steamhead.
It looks nice but I couldn’t use it because there was a gap that I would have to fill with caulk in order to use it and that wouldn’t have looked very good.

Installing was very easy and this diffuser does not even compare to the original design. The steam comes out much more intensely but is so much quieter, it’s a pleasure. You can also stand much closer to it without any burning of the feet.
