I’m not sure why I thought it was weak when I used it last weekend. So I’ve re-ranked this 5 oo 5. Simple to install and a powerful unit; also reasonably quiet. What else do you want from a vacuum?

The vacuum system was delivered fairly quickly and was packaged well. It included all the accessories shown in the image. The system was easy to install and it works very well. It is quite loud but since it is mounted in the garage, it does not really affect anything. If I was to exhaust it to the outside, I am sure it would drop the noise level considerably.
The house was wired and piped for a central vac system, but none was installed. I purchased this system based on the reviews and I am very happy with it. I like the fact that the exhaust is outside the house unlike free standing vacuums and this system produces much greater suction than any portable vacuum I have ever owned.
It comes with a lot of accessories and the carpet head works well. I can run the head up to the wall and it will clean right to the wall, unlike other vacuums I have had in the past that would only get to within a half inch or so of the wall. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a central vac system.

This unit is quiet, powerful and easy to install. This is a high quality unit and comes with the garage vacuum kit as well as a hose sock. The power broom even has an indicator which flashes red when encountering excessive dirt. I would definitely buy this unit again.

The machine is very high quality and it was delivered in about 3 days. I am very pleased with the performance, but I question why the company does not supply a written operation/installation manual. A disc (CD) was supplied, but I found it hard to navigate and lacking in many areas that I had questions about. When I contacted the company I was able to speak to someone who seemed able to answer my questions, but he was not at all receptive when I requested a written document.

I purchased this vacuum a year and a half ago. It started getting really noisy so I Allegro’s customer service trying to be proactive. This purchase has a 7 year warranty and clearly states in their literature “there are local authorized dealers” for service. I was instructed to remove the defective part (I am not a vacuum cleaner repair person) and mail it to Toronto at my cost. The person I spoke to said they would email me, never did, totally blew me off. In the mean time the vacuum stopped working all together, I took it to someone I trust locally. The local guy said there was a loose wire that was incorrectly assembled at the factory. I had it back in three days, If I shipped it to Toronto (at my cost) it would not even be there yet.
I called Allegro again when I got the vacuum back to let them know what the problem was and see if there was any support with the repair bill. Nope, nadda, net, and my warranty is void because I took it somewhere they didn’t approve, remember they wanted me to pull the motor out and ship it to them! I spoke with a woman this time, absolutely no help and yelling at me. I fairness I was pretty steamed myself. I also told them the power foot won’t stay attached to the hose and after a year and a half the electric cord wrapped around the hose has frayed and shocks the operator.
I will NEVER do business with this company again. I had given them the opportunity twice to do the right thing. You have been warned.

i love having a central vac, however, it took forever to arrive over 2 weeks! The hose should really be 35 foot for inside and the floor brush is so small it takes forever to vac all of my tile floors.

Great to have a central vac in house again. After having Beam units in last two houses, and having gone to a Shark for this latest house, we really understood why we like central units better. The only reason this unit is getting 4 stars rather than 5 is the dirt canister seal and mounting method. Beam has a more user friendly method to empty waste. As far as components, the power head of this unit imo is better than others I have used, it has indicator lights that let you know if your overloading the brush by setting too low or wrap somthing into it. Accessory kit and garage pack seem to include all to attachments you could need and the telescopic wand for powerhead is nice for different user heights. With vaulted ceilings my 5 foot tall wife can add the wand sections and reach ceiling fan blades even 11 feet up for dusting. Ordered the honeywell installation pack for piping and had this up and running a couple hours after receiving it.

I have been using this product for about three years now. I would assume this should last much longer, especially since my parents have had their central vac system for over 20 years and haven’t had any issues.
In the 3 years I have had it I have had to replace the power head 2 times, the power cord, the wand and now the switch. All of these things have had to be replaced at my cost and then I have had to take the system apart and put the new parts on and pay the ridiculous shipping and handling charges with each replacement.
The system also doesn’t suck near as hard after 3 years as it did in the first 6 months and the hose has cracked very easily.

It was my first time to have a central vacuum, I can only compare it with the portable ones. The suction power is amazing, it cleans very well. It’s a complete package for indoor and garage use. The power head is adjustable and has a lot of accessories. I bought it at 699 cad at that time plus shipment.
