Didn’t fit my vacuum

The product has weak tines so it doesn’t fluff the carpet very well
Bob in Vista –
The tynes are very soft and flexible fishing line type plastic, so do not make any rake action on any kind of carpet at all. I don’t know what product the 5 star reviewers received, it cannot possibly work. Like raking carpet with dental floss! Very expensive waste of money.

This product fluffs up the carpet and does it’s best at sucking out any dirt. It’s best if you use it often on your thick shag. It does the job it’s designed to do and a price that is 1/3 of other similar products. It’s a good tool to have for your carpet.

This does a fine job raking the shag but lacks suction to pick up anything.

I have a deep deep ‘chic’ carpet.
This rake lifts the individual strands for a better cleaning job and leaves the carpet beautiful.
I have no trouble pulling the rake through the shag, it’s very easy and just does a nice job.
It’s light weight and a very nice quality. The picture doesn’t do it justice as you can’t see the nice swivel that it has very well, and it looks more like a hair brush in the picture rather than the individual 2″ long bristles that lift and separate the carpet nap.

This works great to refresh my deep floss shag rug. It is very tall, standing well above the rug surface, so you need a strong vacuum to get enough wind to suck dirt into the inlet over a reasonably wide area. A weak vacuum will only pick up from the middle of the attachment. After looking at specialty home vacuum cleaners, I concluded they were way overpriced and underpowered, so I bought a small shop vac, which is very powerful, not too big or loud. I had to use a weird combination of adapters, and I think I’m using the tubes upside-down, but it works. If you have shag rugs, this si the way to go!!

I feel like there could be some improvements made on this shag attachment. Some way for it to have a little more suction instead of just directly under where it connects. Otherwise, this little attachment does a pretty good job. It requires a little work, but I feel like that comes with owning a shag rug. I’ve found quick repetitive strokes, in a V or W shape, work great for pulling up pet hair. I attached it to my ShopVac, which I use on my hardwood floors, and it works wonderfully. I’ve used it with and without the extension wands.

Unit is ok for using on shag rugs, but requires a substantial amount of strength to get deep into long shag rugs. Works Ok, but can get tiring to vacuum

HAVE TO BUY ATTACHMENTS SEPERATELY TO MAKE IT FIT. ONLY SUCTION IS DIRECTLY BELOW SUCTION HOLE; DOES NOT VACUUM ON THE SIDES ; I SHOULD HAVE JUST BOUGHT A SIMPLE RAKE: MUCH CHEAPER
