Jeff –
I am happy with its performance however, any steam mop I have purchased int he past had 2 floor pads with it, this only had 1, so I wasnt happy about that.

The steam mop was easy to assemble with the included instructions. The unit comes with three mop pads.
We tried this mop on our kitchen linoleum and a little bit of hardwood flooring and from the looks of the pad it did take up dirt. We also cleaned some areas of rug and carpet, but it was harder to tell how much good it did with those.
Heating up was quick, and the LED on the inside made the water level easier to see. The instructions didn’t give any guidance on methods for cleaning… is it better to go slow and let the steam work, or is it better to go faster and let the map pad scrub the surface? Plenty of time to experiment.
Given how light the unit is and how little space it takes up in storage compared to a larger steam cleaner, this will be good for occasional steam cleaning of areas that need it.

So keeping in mind that this is a budget priced steam mop, it works ok. The pads seem to be good quality and look like they’ll last several uses.
The mop itself is kind of flimsy – I feel like I might break it if I’m working it to hard. Thankfully the steam does a lot of the work if you just go slow with it.
The mop comes with a plastic cover that goes around the mop pad. Keep in mind, this cover is only to be used on carpet floors. I learned this hard way when I first used it and noticed the plastic cover was lightly scratching my wood floors. When I removed the cover, the mop worked as expected – well, kind of.
The thing that makes this particular mop a little weird, is it doesn’t seem to continually steam like other mops. It seems like it steams up pretty good for about 45 seconds, then rests for about 30 seconds. This made cleaning up some bigger messes a little more burdensome, but it still worked.
Overall, I’d rate this as a 3 star product. It’s a budget product – It does what it should, but don’t expect the same results or efficiency as a more expensive $150+ model.

As a cautious consumer, I wanted to share my experience with the True & Tidy Multi-Surface Steam Mop. While it has its merits, there are some aspects that potential buyers should be aware of.
Firstly, regarding its cleaning efficacy, I found that while the steam generated is indeed hot, it lacks the force needed for deep cleaning. To effectively clean a dirty floor, one must proceed very slowly, and even then, the results may not be as thorough as desired. The mop does work, but it requires patience and a slow pace. In comparison to traditional wet mops or scrubbing mops, it’s notably slower.
Additionally, there’s a design quirk with the triangle plastic sleeve around the mop head. It needs to be removed for the mop pad to make proper contact with the floor, which may not be immediately obvious to users.
Another point worth mentioning is the length of the power cord, which I found to be too short for my kitchen and other medium to large-sized rooms. This limitation can be a hassle during cleaning sessions.
However, I haven’t experienced any significant issues with the quality of the device itself. It seems to be on par with similar products available today. I particularly appreciate the LED water level indicator and the quick steam production, although, as mentioned, the steam doesn’t come out with much force.
In conclusion, while the True & Tidy Multi-Surface Steam Mop offers convenience and versatility, it may not be the fastest or most powerful option for cleaning floors. Potential buyers should consider their specific needs and preferences before making a purchase.

I really wanted to like this steam mop: it’s lightweight, compact and fairly sleek looking. It does come in a small box, and you assemble it by connecting its three parts quite easily. It also includes a measuring cup to fill the water reservoir so you won’t spill water on your floors in the process. Once you turn it on, steam is ready in about 30 seconds. It does produce a fair amount of steam, and a full tank should allow you to clean a moderately sized room. Unfortunately, that’s about it for the positives. The first issue I noticed is, because of the way the pad attaches to the head of the mop via velcro straps, it causes sort of a “bump” in those areas – which end up being the only spots collecting dirt, leaving the middle of the pad fairly untouched (see picture for reference). This makes the pad – and the mop – way less effective at cleaning your floors. Strike one.
As mentioned earlier, this mop is quite compact and shorter than your average appliance of this type. This is not a problem for me as I am not very tall, but I can see it causing some handling issues for some people. Talking about handling, gliding this thing over the floor can be an infuriating experience at times, as the head is connected to the tank via a plastic tab, and it does get stuck more often than not. It happened several times that, when going back or maneuvering to clean a corner, the head would hang off the floor at a 45-degree angle off the floor, and I had to push it back down. Speaking of handling, the head has a triangular shape with the angle in front – I believe the designers thought this would give you a better reach into corners, but instead it makes just difficult and awkward to clean against flat barriers like baseboards, as you have to turn this thing at an angle, with the chance of the head clicking in the wrong position and coming off the floor again. Also, despite the triangular shape, it is still hard to reach into corners to clean them properly. Strike two.
Finally, while cleaning the floor, I was saying to myself “come on, it *is* a little annoying but not ‘that’ bad, I just have to get used to it”. This is when the cord came off the socket leaving me with no steam. Let me tell you, my kitchen is by no means large. It’s really not even medium. It’s a small kitchen, but it looks like it is still a mighty match for this mop’s cord’s reach, as the cord is infuriatingly short, and It’s extremely easy to pull it off the socket when cleaning because of that. The one thing I don’t want to do when mopping my floors is to have to plan how to do it in sections, because I have to change socket a couple of times. No thanks. Strike three.
As minor stuff goes, this mop has only an on/off button and produces just one level of steam. It would have been nice if you could put it in standby like my Bissell, and if it had different levels of steam for different types of floors and/or levels of grime. But I am not going to be sitting here splitting hairs and ignoring the elephant in the room: I would not recommend this mop, unless you have very small rooms so that the short cord is not an issue and, even in that case, you can likely find something that does a better job at cleaning and is easier to handle at a similar price point. Disappointing.
