This vacuum and mop has been great for my home. I wanted to review it after a few uses if not more so I could really experience it and share. It cleans really well and even mops neatly. You just will have to take care of the places which are a little difficult for it to reach like the space near drawer at the bottom of the gas range or the space near the fridge etc. Places like that will need a wipe but other than that it really does clean my space well. I love that I don’t have to dump the trash after every vacuum session or fill the water every time. I will say that I am not a fan of vacuum and mop together as I feel it doesn’t clean well when I do that. So I let it vacuum first and then once it goes back to the station, I place a separate command for mopping. I love that I can just use the phone to start it and get about my business. The set up takes minutes and you are good to go. So far, it has been working well and I have one less thing to bother with. Will update if there is any other addition I feel that is needed. As I write this review, it’s actually going about it business and I am doing my thing. Love it!

This machine is really well-designed, well-made, and well-packaged. Its weak point is definitely the app that comes with the machine, which is not always easy to figure out.
One great thing about initial set up is how painless and quick it was to assemble the machine and hook it up to my network (Warning, it didn’t appear to detect my 5ghz network, but it did see my 2.4 ghz network.) Per the instructions, I used the app to send the machine out from the dock to make a map of my second floor. In the end, the map was made, but out of at least 5 distinct room spaces, the app only officially mapped 2 rooms along with a big bunch of space representing the remainder of the second floor, which actually consists of a hallway, a guest bedroom, and a bathroom.
At this point probably most users will need to use the edit map function to split room areas up and merge other room areas together until your bedrooms show up separately from your bathrooms and hallways, etc. This is where you can have problems, but if you take each step slowly and VERY carefully, you’ll end up with a well-organized map.
For me, I didn’t have a complete and organized map at first, but the initial mapping foray of the robot had identified “Room 1”, which was a combination of the toilet/shower room and a grooming room. Good enough for me at the time, so I selected “Rooms” to clean individual rooms rather than “Home” which cleans all rooms. On the “Rooms” screen I selected “Room 1” (by clicking and selecting the “Room 1” icon) and sent the robot on its way. The robot then proceeded to vacuum the entire second floor.
It wasn’t until after a bunch of attempts like that failed that I realized that on the “Rooms” screen, there is a 3-bar menu icon showing up, that, when you click it, will display a radio button list of all known rooms, and you can click the radio button of each room you wish to clean. Selecting your room that way actually works (though the robot might decide to meander slightly before getting to the rooms you stipulated).
My beef would be that I couldn’t find any step-by-step instructions for using this part of the app, which then made me think that the app would be so intuitively easy to use that I wouldn’t need any instructions. NOT! Just work your way slowly and carefully through that part of the app and you should be fine, however.
I never used one of these robots before and I was impressed at how thorough this robot is at picking up tiny debris. It only seems to miss stuff that is too close to stationary objects like walls and such. Clearly I can’t know for sure if this Shark robot is better than other cleaning robots if I’ve never seen the other robots, but I am definitely very happy with what this Shark robot has brought to the table.

The Shark PowerDetect Robot Vacuum is an impressive piece of technology that promises up to a month of hands-free cleaning and maintenance. After testing this device over several weeks, here’s my review of its features and performance.
One of the standout features of this robotic vacuum is its ability to autonomously manage its cleaning maintenance. The 60-day-capacity bin allows the robot to collect debris without the hassle of frequent emptying. I find myself emptying the bin every two to three weeks whether it needs it or not. It will automatically dock after a cleaning session and self empty into the docking stations bin. Additionally, the self-refilling water tank is incredibly convenient, ensuring that the vacuum is always ready to tackle your floors without additional prep work. Its washing and drying capabilities have effectively reduced the daily demands of floor cleaning for me.
Shark’s PowerDetect technology is a nice feature. With five cleaning technologies integrated into this vacuum, the device addresses various cleaning needs and performs great on different floor types. I have mixed types in my home and the vacuum can handle everything from linoleum to wood floors and engineered floor to carpet. The DirtDetect feature identifies and boosts performance on areas with concentrated dirt, while StainDetect ensures that tougher spots receive an additional cleaning pass. I spilled potting soil on the floor by accident and this little guy had it cleaned up in two passes.
With the NeverStuck Technology, the vacuum navigates around obstacles and thresholds, lifting itself over them without issue, which is great for me since we have different flooring levels in our home. This feature ensures that every inch of the house is covered. A feature that reinforces the vacuum’s attention to detail is its EdgeDetect capability. The robot blasts air to push debris towards its cleaning path while extending the mopping pad to ensure edge-to-edge coverage. I will admit, I spend far too much time watching this little guy work and I’m impressed it does such a thorough job.
The mop feature works pretty well but I did find it left a bit of water behind. It doesn’t mop aggressively so if you have a stubborn stain, you will probably have to clean it by hand. For everyday spills, it works wonderfully.
The 3D sensor and 360° LiDAR work to navigate complex home layouts, avoiding furniture and adapting to any changes. This robot maps out your floor plan and is able to avoid any obstacles in its way. The customization options offered are extensive, allowing users to set schedules, target specific spots for extra cleaning, create no-go zones, and map out the home—all from an intuitive interface.
