This is the best floor cleaner I have ever purchased! It is so easy to use and doesn’t require additional cleanup after I finish mopping, I can just remove the pads and put it away. The pads can be pricy, but they are washable so they last longer than I thought. Heats up quickly and picks up so much extra dirt compared to traditional mopping. I have recommended this to everyone I know and would absolutely purchase again!

I mop my floors each week. I was so suprised at how much dirt this picks up! It is a permanent staple in my cleaning routine.

Oh my. Well let’s start off with I have previously owned a shark mop. Still have it. Yes its very old. But I have taken very good care of it. Only use filtered water.
Any way noticed the pump is starting to wear out. Hey its almost 15yrs old. So I better find a replacement before it actually dies. And I’m kinda stuck on shark mop. It’s worked great this whole time.
However I ordered this one opened it up was so excited. Yes I’m gonna be ahead for once. Then came the disappointment.
First i noticed the noises. There is a rattle coming form the water tank. Therebis a hose with a plastic thing for water i guess. Wait.. i looked at my old one. It dont have that.
This thing actually vibrated in my hand, im like what why is it buzzing and the noise was loud. Ok its new has new noises. Lets see how the steam works. And once in while it actually steamed. So wierd… I had filled with water. Before all this ofcourse. This thing on highg barley put out what Mines does on low.
Ok read instructions on troubleshooting. Ok let sit steaming in place for 5 -10 Mines get primed maybe.? So I did this. Said try mopping with it. Something about back n forth motion. Ya that was a no go. Isn’t that the purple one. Not the white professional one.
Any way. I did all this. Started smelling new plastic. Huh.. felt the body of the unit it was hot. Like move my hands away instant hot. Well that’s not right at all.
Definitely a reject.
So I boxed it up and sent back this morning.
Currently looking for the brand New shark mop. Not renewed.. Sorry. I was very much hoping this would work out.
Was very disappointed..

Following on from my last review. It was discovered that the shark mop was from America. American electrics are either 110v or 120v. In the UK we use 240v. So, its no wonder it would not work. Also with a USA plug and no fuse, it runs the risk of it going in flames. Why does Amazon UK sell USA electricals???

I ordered a refurbished one. I’ve used it a few times already, I love It. A full tank worked for (almost) my entire house (roughly 2000sqft). Use distilled water, or else it will wear it down quicker.

I have to wait for it to heat up every couple minutes, making it longer to clean a foor than I would take by using spin mop

This is now the second steam shark I buy exactly the same model because the last one was a hand me down after being used who knows how long. I then had it for 6 years before I bought this replacement. It is well priced and well made. Very easy to use and clean. Simply take off the cover and throw it in the wash.

I had a smaller, older Shark floor steamer that I was pleased with. When it died, my daughter showed me her larger, newer Shark, and I had to get one. My new one is great, cleans so much better than that smaller one that I had been happy with. Picks up even more grime, and the cleaning pad is two-sided for extra use before washing and reuse. It also has three settings for dusting, mopping, and scrubbing.

I had the same model for about 15 years and it finally pooped out. This is very similar to my old one with some improvements.
-The reservoir is easier to fill due to a more vertical position.
-the steam comes out with less of a wait.
– you can get extra shots of steam by pushing and pulling the handle rapidly, just like the cheaper Shark mops.
– it is lighter and less cumbersome, despite the reservoir having the same volume of the older one.
– it’s quiet
-also, it still is on and steaming when you choose your cleaning level. The cheaper mops only produce steam when it is pushed and pulled back.
There are more improvements I’m sure.
The only drawbacks are that the shipping was slow (for a Prime order) and I thought I was ordering a mop with a lift away steamer. That’s probably my bad.
Some important tips are that you MUST use only distilled water in the reservoir. If you don’t it will become clogged, especially if you have hard tap water.
I have tile floors and I use a solution of 1 part vinegar to 4 parts DISTILLED water. I do not recommend adding any other cleaning product unless it’s one made by Shark for a steam mop. The vinegar helps to prevent the mop from clogging and adds more sanitizing properties to the steam.
Overall I’m thrilled with my new steam mop!!
