   Honest and Real – August 8, 2024

   Amazing and very versatile wireless vacuum cleaner. I am quiet impressed by the power of this machine – although it looks small – but the output that it gives from cleaning perspective is amazing.

   First of all – its very easy to assemble it – less than 5 minutes and the stick is ready to use. Its comes with automatic detection mechanism – which helps in deciding the intensity of the force to be used for cleaning.

   It has several modes – Eco – Boost , etc which help in adjusting the intensity of cleaning. Best part is the bottom area has LED lights – which are very useful specially when cleaning under the bed or any area which is dark.

   The batter life if good enough – it charges very fast as well (few hours). Once the batter is fully charged – it can be seen on the display. The portion that collects the dirt is easily removable – hence – it becomes very convenient to clean off the dirt as soon as after cleaning.

   This vacuum works well on carpet and on hard-floor as well – I have tried on both the surfaces and it works wonder.

   Its a powerhouse in small size. The additional attachments that come along with it are useful for cleaning the corners on the ceiling or on the high rise walls.

   Overall – an amazing vacuum machine which is versatile – lightweight and easy to use and clean!

   Overall, I found this to be a really good cordless vacuum. It’s not as powerful as my electric vacuum, but it’s very convenient to keep in the kitchen to quickly get up crumbs, etc after meals or for a quick clean up. I like that it folds for charging and storage, but I’m a little concerned that this may cause the hose to get torn at some point – time will tell.

   This machine has a lot of great features: it is very easy to lower the vacuum to go under tables, chairs etc while vacuuming. The swivel head is also nice to have and easy to control. The canister is a good size and easy to empty. Suction strength is good for a battery powered vacuum and the light is a nice feature. The vacuum is lightweight and easy to maneuver. Charging doesn’t take very long. The vacuum folds in half when not in use, which allows the vacuum to free stand on its own- this feature fixes a big complaint I’ve had with other battery vacuums – the tendency to fall over when not in use.

   Some of my negatives include: it does not do well around edges and corners & requires the use of the smaller & more nimble attachments. Unfortunately, the battery charge doesn’t last all that long. It would be helpful to have a wall mount or floor station to hook into while not in use and store the attachments since they are not hooked onto the vacuum. The lid to the canister pops open pretty easily (like if the vacuum falls over) and contents spill out.

   Likes:
   – Easy Maneuverability: Lowers easily for under furniture; swivel head enhances control.
   – Convenient Canister: Good size and easy to empty.
   – Decent Suction: Strong performance for a battery vacuum, with a helpful light.
   – Lightweight Design: Easy to carry and maneuver.
   – Quick Charging: Short charging time.
   – Space-Saving Feature: Folds in half for storage and stands on its own, preventing tipping.

   Dislikes:
   – Edge Performance: Struggles with corners and requires attachments frequently.
   – Battery Life: Charge isn’t sufficient for large areas.
   – Lack of Storage Solution: No wall mount or floor station for attachments.
   – Canister Lid: Lid can pop open if the vacuum tips over, causing spills.

   Even with the few minor negatives, especially the limited battery time, I would recommend this vacuum. In my experience with cordless Shark vacuums, they are well-made machines that are reliable and durable – and I expect this one will be just as good – it’s a good value, IMHO.

   My wife and I have been using our Dyson V6 stick vacuum for years and though we’ve been happy with its performance, we were always frustrated by several things. It was super strong, but too strong for any of our rugs and runners. Since it had either full power or extra high power, the battery life was simply pathetic. It had no light on it, so we would miss quite a bit of small debris that we could feel with our feet, but couldn’t see on our heavily textured floor. Finally, the nail in the coffin, it had no battery meter. It was always a guessing game as to when it was going to die on you – always right when you needed it most.

   But, the all time worst feature for both our Dyson and every other stick vacuum we’ve tried, was the top heavy nature of it. If you didn’t walk it back to its wall mounted dock every single time, there was just no straightforward or even safe way to set it down other than on the floor while you moved furniture or adjusted rugs. They were a constant tripping and fall hazard and it was a source of constant frustration that you couldn’t just stand it up.

   So, when we saw this amazing, albeit unusual, Shark stick vacuum that seemed to address and solve every single one of those issues, I immediately jumped on it.

   Typically, the price on this is something that would give me great pause. I come from a generation where you’d buy a single plug-in vacuum once and it would run so long that you could bequeath it to your grandchildren. While those days aren’t fully past, and yes, you can still buy remarkably reliable, powerful, and simple plug-in vacuums that will last almost indefinitely, I think this handy technnology-packed vacuum has some assets that justify its price.

   First of all, the battery life. It’s terrific. I don’t hold them to the “up to ____ minutes” claim at all since I know that it’s listed that way on ECO mode under the most favorable conditions. What I want is something that lasts longer than 10 minutes so I can vacuum from the front of my house to the back without dying on me. So far, this one has passed that test with flying colors. The battery is bigger, more powerful, and thanks to the variable speed and suction power of the smart PowerDetect system, it changes and optimizes power and speed based on floor type and the amount of debris its encountering.

   I was pretty skeptical that it was as good as they claimed and I was a bit puzzled when it would kick in extra power when I was vacuuming an area that didn’t look especially dirty. But, one look in the dust bin proved that the vacuum was right and I was wrong as it had found tufts of hair and dirt that I hadn’t noticed.

   To make the review a bit shorter, I’ll list this beauty’s other virtues below…

   •Light – powerful lights on the front AND back of the device make it easy to spot and clean every speck of dirt in even the darkest corners of the room.

   •Weight – Super well balanced – they’ve done a terrific job of balancing the center of weight here where it doesn’t feel like you’re vacuuming with a barbell. Makes vacuuming a whole house not only possible, but much easier than with other stick vacuums.

   •Stands Up On Its Own! – the funky little bend in the middle of this vacuum isn’t just for reaching under sofas and shelves. It also provides a SUPER handy break-down point so the vacuum can stand upright on its own without precariously perching it on a chair or countertop.

   •PowerDetect REALLY Works – This not only kicks in when you go from tile to hardwood, but also from a hallway runner to a thick, high pile area rug. It never missed a beat and felt like a plug-in model.

   •Tangle Free Brush – With multiple ladies in the house, having long hair pretty much everywhere is a reality of life. This thing gets every last piece and doesn’t get tangled at all!

   All in all, I think Shark has done an amazing job here. It’s not gimmicky, it’s truly innovative. We’re going to be selling our Dyson this week for sure as this has solved every one of our problems so well.

   Best of all, with Shark being an established, reliable brand, we know that there will be replacement parts and support for years to come.
