this vacuum is awesome! It’s light weight and easily adjustable while vacuuming. It holds a lot of dirt! Easy to clean out with the press of a button. the lights make a perfect touch so you can see any places you might’ve missed! Charges quick and lasts long enough! Super easy to put together! Great value for the price paid. highly recommend!

I’m absolutely thrilled with the Roomie Tec Dylon Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner! This vacuum has truly exceeded my expectations in every way.
First off, the cordless design is a game-changer. It’s so convenient to move around without being tethered to a power outlet, and the battery life is impressive—providing up to 25 minutes of powerful cleaning. That’s more than enough time to tackle my entire home in one go!
The self-standing feature is incredibly handy, making it easy to store and keep accessible without needing a dedicated spot. I also love the advanced filtration system. It effectively captures dust and allergens, making my home cleaner and air quality noticeably better.
The suction power is excellent, effortlessly picking up everything from pet hair to fine dust. The lightweight and ergonomic design make it a breeze to maneuver, and the ease of switching between different floor types is a huge plus.
Overall, the Roomie Tec Dylon Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner combines efficiency, convenience, and innovation. It’s a fantastic addition to my cleaning routine and well worth the investment. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-performance, user-friendly vacuum!

I really wanted to love this. It’s lightweight, it looks good, but the sucking power was minimal and the battery life didn’t last very long.

I thought it would have way more suction for what I paid for it. It does have low and high suction but not near as much as I expected.

The good:
I love the design of the filters – all of them – and the ease of accessing and cleaning out the filters and beater bar in the power head, which I do in my shop with a shop vac, flat-head screwdriver and utility knife to cut off the hair. The suction power is perfect for small throw-rugs to clean them adequately while not sucking them up into the power head beater bar like my plug-in vac does.
The not-so-good:
Like other reviewers, I liked the vacuum’s performance and design. But, when the battery failed it became useless. That took right about 3 years with the lasting ability of it fading during the last year. I don’t know if it is really NOT true that it was OK to be left with the charging cord plugged in when not in use as in the directions, and trashed the battery from to much constant voltage. Lithium Ion batteries don’t like that. Some smarter circuits, like my Acer Aspire 5 laptop auto-regulates charger on-off switching and does not charge unless needed. It also features a menu option to charge to a settable charge level (like 80-90%) and stops and maintains that state instead of 100% (lengthens battery life significantly. It is on year 6 with only very slight reduction in unplugged run time).
I took the Roomie Dylon apart to see if the batteries were replaceable. Nope. Another reviewer has a picture of it taken apart. I’m ok with soldering battery connections (with practice), but the design makes almost impossible to de-solder and remove to replace the individual batteries even if you can find generic batteries of the same design, size and voltage – which I didn’t bother looking for since the labor would be extensive.
So, you’re buying essentially a 2-3 year product. If it were a 5 year product at this price I would allow it to be disposable, but not 2-3.
Roomie: make the battery on all models replaceable like the Elite model but otherwise the design of the Dylon. And make the batteries actually available. The Elite battery is showing “unavailable” on the parts website.

Overall, this is a good cordless vacuum for the price.
For context, I live in a small 3 bedroom house with carpeted bedrooms, a utility rug at the door, and hard floors everywhere else. This vacuum performs well on the hard floors on the low setting, and picks up surface dirt on the carpets and utility rug on the high setting. Battery life seems a bit better than advertised. The 4 led lights on the power brush work well.
Having said that, this is no dyson, but it does everything I want it to do. On the negative side, the design of the dirt cup and filters is a bit funky. The first filter is made of perforated metal with plastic at each end. It is removed by a quick turn counterclockwise and a pull, but the dirt is not easily removed because of the plastic lower part. On my shark rocket you can just pull the dirt off, but with the Dylon there is a shoulder on the joint between the metal and plastic parts that prevents this. The bottom of the dirt cup opens easily, but it has a flexible rubber disk that seats on the bottom of the first filter housing, and you have to make sure this is very clean or the seal is broken and dirt gets through to the second HEPA filter and plugs it quickly.
The second HEPA filter is a fluted cartridge filter that is mounted inside the first filter. It is removed in the same way (turn counterclockwise and pull). The literature states that this filter cannot be washed, and new filters cost $30 CAD for a 2 pack on Amazon. I’ve washed mine a few time and it is holding up fine, but eventually this will be a cost that other vacuums don’t have. Most cordless vacuums have a washable HEPA filter.
The vacuum is missing some of the little touches. There is no light on the handheld unit, so no illumination if you’re just using it as a hand vacuum. The vacuum does not stand by itself, but its no biggie to pop off the power head and hook it into the appropriate place on the wand to make it stand.
I bought this vacuum at a reduced price, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to afford it. For the price, it was a bargain, and even with the design deficiencies I’m very happy with my purchase.

I received this product this week and having been loving this vacuum so far!
It works well for my 1 bedroom apartment and the sounds it just like any other vacuum I have owned. I have a medical condition so lifting heavy things is a no good for- this lightweight enough for me to use and is cordless- no outlet hunting! Easy to empty, I really like the washable stainless steel filter.
For the price it can’t be beat!

Chargeable cordless vacuum. Works perfect and the battery last long. It’s amazing for its price range. I’m very happy with it.

UPDATE: Two months in and it doesn’t work anymore. Barely sucks anything up, and when it does, it spits it right back out. Returning this and buying name brand… not gonna be cheap this time.
ORIGINAL POST:
This is my first cordless vacuum. I have a dyson, but it is a really heavy unit that is also obnoxiously loud. I was struggling to keep up with my bad back and sciatica, and so I opted for this cheap alternative. I didn’t want to spend $500 on another dyson, especially since I’m not in love with the one I already have.
So this vacuum is good for the price. Under $100 seems right. I wouldn’t have paid any more for it. I have a 1200 sq ft home and I can only do one level at a time because the battery dies VERY quickly, even when it is not on MAX. It is a little annoying that I have to wait for the unit to recharge in order for me to continue cleaning.
The suction power is very light on the regular mode, and decent on the MAX mode. It does pick up most things; mostly hair, dust, dry dirt, dry crumbs, etc. Anything that is a little moist or the tiniest bit sticky, the suction power isn’t strong enough to pull it up.
What I like about this vacuum is that it is super quiet. I will be able to use it anytime, even when my toddler is napping. Compared to my other vacuum which sounds like a jet plane taking off… this is much better.
It’s a pretty good vacuum for the price, to be honest. I’m keeping it to pick up small messes here and there, but will have to use my big dyson for really dirty jobs. I would recommend this for seniors because it is lightweight and easy to use, and for small homes/condos/apartments.

I had to replace the one I dropped and is no longer available. Unfortunately the one I purchased the Roomie is terrible. Poor suction and quality.

Easy to assemble, the light is super fancy where I can see whether it’s clean or not. Love the product! It’s not heavy so that I can use it for daily cleaning and the battery life seems decent to clean up my space

Just gave the Roomie tec a try and it works pretty well on laminate flooring. So far, the battery life on it is last about 30 mins on a full charge if you set it to econ mode. I have 2 cats so my floors are always full of cat hair but after vacuuming, the floors feel pretty clean. It does have a neat feature where it can stand up on its own, unlike other vacuums like dyson where you have to put them flat down on the ground if you aren’t using it.

I really liked this vacuum… I actually don’t like vacuuming and I have 2 big dogs so the hair does pile up if I don’t keep up with it. With this vacuum I found it was easy to do on a daily basis. I used it everyday until it stopped working.. not even a year later.. now it wasn’t the vacuum itself that stopped working it was something to do with the little rollers on the bottom. Now the only way I can use this vacuum is by taking the whole vacuum part off (the floor part). I just sweep now.. 🙁 and not often enough… and use the top part of the vacuum to suck up the dust and hair from the piles I make.. not what I wish for out of a vacuum. This vacuum has alway had good suction and over I really liked how it was light and easy to use but what ever happened to the roller or feet won’t let it do its normal vacuuming.. I believe its the little rollers on the sides that give it a few millimeter clearance so the big roller can do its job are the problem. I’ve cleaned them so its not that.
