The Roborock Qrevo Curv is the best robot mopping vacuum yet. It’s an absolute showcase of the technology. But note: It’s expensive and has more features than a lot of people need. If you have a small or simple home without pets, complex thresholds, or a lot of different floor types, then there are much cheaper models that will keep your home clean.
Let’s talk MOPPING: I’ve never been a huge fan of mopping vacs. We have a mix of hardwood floors and nice rugs, and earlier mopping vacuums just dragged water across your wood floors, and ran the risk of getting your silk rug wet. Then there’s the mold risk that comes with water tanks and wet mops sitting on your vac.
But the Qrevo Curv has made me a convert. The dual spinning mops with the FlexiArm that gets into corners does an oustanding job mopping my hardwood floors — using just enough water to get the job done without leaving things wet. It remembers the direction of the hardwood floor seams to mop along them rather than across them. It lifts the mops up pretty high and pretty reliably when it’s traveling to/from the dock or going over rugs. And I can even have it vacuum rugs first then move on to the mopping. Then there’s the Qrevo Curv dock. It washes and disinfects the mops with 167°F hot water both before and after each mopping routine, and it uses warm air to dry the mops afterwards. Pretty amazing.
Let’s talk about the DOCK: I’ve not really been a fan of self-emptying docks. They are ugly and noisy, but the Curv dock is low-profile and much quieter than previous generations. My bigger issue with docks was that vacuums are mechanical devices, so I didn’t buy into the “set it and forget it” mentality of self-emptying. Long hair gets tangled in the brushes and other items can block it up, so I always thought if you’re not emptying it yourself you could end up going a month without realizing that a sock, a hair band, a face mask, or a paper napkin has been blocking the vacuum’s intake all that time (yes, I’ve found all those things clogging up my robot vac). But I am here to report that the new technology in the QRevo Curv solves every one of these concerns. The Curv’s “Dual Anti-Tangling System” is the real deal. I’ve run this thing over long hair and rubber bands and it all just got sucked into the dust bin without a trace of debris stuck to the main brushes OR to the side brush. And the AI obstacle avoidance steers around larger items like cords. This “DuoDivide” main brush system is a game changer that will probably be in all the Roborock models some day. For now, it may be reason alone to get this vacuum.
Let’s talk VACUUMING: This is no contest. The Curv is crazy powerful and yet quieter than my older vacs. And it has THRESHOLD recognition with “AdaptiLift” that really works (see video). I have 5 thresholds in my house, so this was a big deal to me. My old vacs could handle 4 of the 5 thresholds, and the Curv is actually no different (one threshold is slightly higher than 4cm so the Curv couldn’t handle it either), but as you can see in the video, the Curv handles the thresholds elegantly and intelligently. Older vacs did not. In fact, the bottom cover of my Q5 would sometimes pop off when going over a threshold. Score another win for the Curv.
Do I love everything about it? No. The “Reactive AI Obstacle Recognition” didn’t recognize a shoe when I placed the shoe on its side, and it dragged a sock around the room. And honestly I’m just not sold on the value of the feature anyway. If I lost a sock under the bed, an older vac would grab the sock, get clogged, and I’d come get it unstuck. My sock is found and the robot returns to its task. Is that so terrible? With the Curv, it sees the sock and steers a wide path around it. I never find my sock and that spot never gets cleaned, unless I am checking the app every day for obstacles found. To be fair, I don’t have pets, so I don’t have THAT obstacle concern.
The vac itself is also taller and bulkier than my older models, and as a result got stuck under some furniture that my older models had no problems with. That was a huge disappointment.
The advanced features also have a speed cost. If I ask it to clean and mop a room, it first fires up the dock and starts heating the water. Then it washes the mop. Then it travels to the room for the vacuuming. Then after 15 minutes if it’s not done mopping it pauses and heads back to the dock and heats the water and washes the mop again, then back to the room to finish, etc. My kitchen takes twice as long with the Curv.
I’m also disappointed with the documentation. i.e., there is barely any at all. I know the Curv can do a lot of things, but we’re sort of left to our own devices to figure out the programming in the app. I know it can be programmed to vacuum rugs first then lower mops and finish the room, but I haven’t quite figured out how to tell it to do that. There is the “SmartPlan Mode” option that just lets the AI technology figure out the best cleaning plan for each room, but I’m sorry, Roborock. I’m not going to rely on that to run over my silk rugs without at least some documentation that tells me what it’s going to do.
Do you need this vacuum? Of course not. If you have, for example, an apartment without multiple levels or thresholds, with just 1 or 2 floor types, and mostly carpet, I’d highly recommend spending 80% less and getting a simple Roborock Q5 without the dock (especially if you don’t have heavy-shedding pets). The Q5 will give you the fancy intelligent app features but no mopping. It’s a much simpler device so it’ll probably last longer as well, and the few supplies you’d need are very inexpensive.
That being said, the Curv is an impressive piece of technology. The new brush design is frankly a game changer, but is any vacuum worth this price? That’s for you to decide.
PS I didn’t mention the MANY pet-friendly features, which look really cool, but I don’t have pets.

I’m upgrading from the Q Revo (original). This unit significantly improved my life in the following regards:
1. Anti-entangle design. The roller and brush design this generation is able to let all long hair go into the dust bin no problem. This means I don’t have to take it apart every week to remove hair manually.
2. Better mop washing tray. This is similar to previous point in that it reduces the amount of work I need to do. Now the tray does its own cleaning when washing the mop. I don’t have to flush it weekly anymore.
3. Hopping motion. I forgot what Robotock calls this but I’m talking about the Q Revo curv’s ability to raise itself and get over a max of 1.5 inch high obstacle. Now I don’t have to worry about it getting stuck around stuff like chairs with a flat base( like the ikea möbius chair) or rails for sliding doors. I believe we are eventually going to see robot vacuums go up and down stairs. Can’t wait.
4. Better looks. IMO it just looks better.

The Roborock Q Revo Curv is as solid as you’d expect from Roborock, combining top-notch efficiency with a design that feels straight out of the future. Its sleek, modern look immediately caught my eye, and it fits perfectly in any contemporary space. Beyond its cool appearance, the fact that it automatically cleans its mop and empties the dustbin feels like having your own personal cleaning assistant. It’s so hands-off that it makes cleaning feel almost effortless.
I also love how smoothly it navigates around the house, tackling both vacuuming and mopping without missing a beat.
One detail I really like is how it stretches a leg out to mop along the base of the walls, ensuring every corner gets cleaned. This clever feature makes sure even those hard-to-reach spots along the wall are spotless, something a lot of other robot vacuums struggle with.
But what really stands out to me is its futuristic design—it feels like a next-level product, almost like it belongs in a sci-fi movie.

This replaces an S7 Maxv Ultra, and it addresses all the things I disliked about that model. The tray is removable and can be easily and thoroughly cleaned. No mucky icky. The rotating mop pads mop really well. The edge cleaning is great.
I would buy this again.
The only thing that would make it perfect would be a shorter profile so it could get under cabinet toe kicks.
I’m very happy with this design.

No dog or human hair on rollers or edge brush after a week of use, pretty incredible.

It vacuums and mops really well, but that’s actually the least impressive thing about it. What I love most is that it’s practically a fully automatic cleaning robot. I NO longer have to remove the mop pad, wash it, dry it, and reinstall it by hand. It can automatically wash and dry the mop for you, and all the dirty water goes straight into a separate tank. The only thing you need to do is dump the dirty water! If you’re mopping a large area, it’ll even pause halfway to clean the mop before continuing, so it’s always using a clean one. It also automatically collects dust, so you don’t have to empty the dustbin after every cleaning. It’s super convenient. Plus, it’s quieter than any other robot I’ve used. And when it goes under the bed or into dark spaces, it even turns on a light. So cute!
