The Samsung site mentions HEPA filter but the Prolux does not have a HEPA filter. I bought the unit thinking it had a HEPA filter inside somewhere. I do believe that the CTX prevents dust from coming out the the unit far better than all vacuums I’ve used before. Has anyone performed a specific HEPA test?
Generally, the unit is easy to use – easy to move around, good suction (loud motor), easy to wash out and dry after use. It is much better than other vacuums I’ve used before. Really good for removing dust in side the house. Also, used it to remove about 2 qts of water which leaked onto the floor in the bathroom. Yes, the water removal vacuum worked really good. No need to wipe off any remaining moisture on the floor or along the wall edges.

After 10 months of light use the Power Indicator Lights on the Canister will not illuminate and the Brush in the head will not spin. Expensive Vacuum for 10 months of light home use for hardwood floors and 2 Area rugs. Not impressed with the longevity for the price. I’ve contacted the MFGR and am waiting for a response. Will update this review regarding their follow up of this issue.
I can say that when the vacuum cleaner was working it had great suction and the air was much fresher using the water filtration system.

After months of research we finally pulled the trigger on the PROLUX CTX. We bought it thinking it would help with the allergies in our house by minimizing the amount of dirt and dust in the air. We have been using top of the line Shark and Dyson vacuums for the last 15 years, thinking they were doing the job. After vacuuming my living room last night I am sick at how much dirt was left in my carpet by my old vacuum. We vacuumed the floor 5 times going over it first on the number 3 setting, and then 2 more times on the number 2 setting. Each time we emptied the bowl we were scraping out 1/2″ of dirt from the bottom of the bowl. The air in the house is so much cleaner smelling even after this first round I am looking forward to the continued progress with this amazing machine. Based on the improvements in my home I came to work today and talked about it so much 2 of my co-workers ordered one on the spot. It certainly doesn’t hurt that it has a lifetime warranty as that means Prolux trusts it as much as I do.
