I really like this heavy duty floor scrubber and have used it around my house many times just to get a feel for it. While it is “heavy” it glides across the floor when powered on. It does a fantastic job at cleaning and even took us some dark spots on my luxury vinyl that no end of mopping and hand scrubbing would touch. As an overall product, this is fantastic however you must also account for the accessories that aren’t included. As of the time of this post the carpet and rug brushes are in the $70s each, the microfiber mop kit is $80 (or $55 for just two of the microfiber pads), and the scrubbing pad kit is $160. I appreciate the quality of the product, but the exorbitant price of basic accessories is pretty crazy in my opinion. Who charges $55 for two mop pads that probably costs pennies to make!? I like and respect Prolux for being an American company, but I’m not sure that’s how you keep loyal customers. In the end, I would totally recommend this product, but I hope Prolux hears my plea and re-assesses their pricing model for basic accessories.
Customer Review –
When I was 16 years old I ran a huge floor machine at my local grocery store every morning and then followed it with a buffing machine. I learned what a good floor machine should do and am very impressed at the performance this one fits into such small package. The standard 15” pad size of the machine means you aren’t limited to the disposable floor pads from this manufacturer. As long as you have the pad holder you could use generic pads from any manufacturer. Having one machine that will both scrub AND buff the floor is such an elegant solution for floor care. Prolux is a respected name in the floor care business so I trust that they will be there to help with any issues I might encounter at any point too. The 5 year promise highlights this fact.
The build quality of this floor machine seems very good and it feels like it’s built to last a good while with regular heavy use. It has a nice telescoping handle and angle adjustment to get the ideal ergonomic position to use it. The 50’ cord keeps any extension cord connection out of the way of use and the wheels help it glide evenly across the floor. Overall it’s an easy and effective way to get clean and polished floors in a small package.

It’s very well built and very sturdy. Do far I have only did my garage floor and it worked great. It made quick work of cleaning my garage floors. Powerful motor never bogged down. Definitely impressed

The Prolux Core Heavy Duty Single Pad Commercial Polisher is limited to scrubbing since no mopping or polishing pads are available to purchase for the 15″ model. Only the smaller version has compatible pads and attachments available for purchase. This significantly restricts its functionality. On the plus side, it is easy to operate and moves smoothly across surfaces, making it efficient for scrubbing tasks.

This is a strong cleaner and it did a good job in my testing. I used it outdoors and in my garage with water from a 5 gallon pail and some Tide detergent. I’m a shorter than average old guy but in good health with ordinary strength. I used the concrete / tile brush, the only pad I received for the review. Other pads for this 15 inch model are available from Amazon, and also from the Prolux website.
It wasn’t able to get the dark color out of my 70 year old concrete walkway, but it did knock out a bunch of moss that the pressure washer didn’t touch and that I didn’t even know was there.
It did a good job on the old greasy spot of many years under the car we park that has, or at least had, an oil leak from the rear main seal between the engine and transmission. Cheaper to add oil now and then, than to fix the seal. Now we can see if it’s still leaking or if it’s stopped, because the floor is clean for the moment.
It seems to oscillate, rotating back and forth, so it does not have a particular “pull”. Yet it does tend to skate around and you have to control it. I found it easiest to swing it fairly fast side to side. Fast because it speeds up on its own. It seems to accelerate in whatever direction it’s already moving. But light pressure can reverse the direction. So I would swing it side to side, and I could also use this to throw water that had gone down into low spots out onto the rest of the surface by running through the low spots.
It was well packed and arrived in perfect condition. Assembly was very easy: push the handle together, drop the cleaner onto the pad, plug the handle area into the base, and attach the extension cord. I took the time to wedge the extension cord coupling into the provided frame, without expanding the frame. It just fits if you push it hard, then it clicks into place and is held together very securely. There’s no need to detach the extension cord because it coils onto the machine.
It’s rated to use less than 300 Watts, less than my little corded angle grinder, so I could even use it far from an outlet with an inverter and batteries I have. I’d consider that remarkably efficient, considering the ruckus it creates under its cleaning brush.

This buffer and polisher is quite ergonomic and is built with quality. The handle adjusts up and down and can be hidden for storage. The motor is outstanding and keeps consistent rotations even against resistance. The cord is generous but standard enough that if you want a longer one, you can use it. The included hard brush cleans tile very well, but it lacks mopping capability which requires a different pad setup.
The one downside, and I really think this is problematic, is that only the brush is included. You have to buy the other pads as well. Honestly, including the mop and the scrubbers should be a standard part of the package given that even tile, you would want to use that as well as the brush. This adds another $150 to the purchase which changes the value proposition quite a bit. I did end up buying both sets as they are necessary for the sort of tile I have. Add about a quarter of the purchase of this to the price for the true cost of this buffer.
