excellent vacuum …lots of attachments
Loving this vacuum …. portable to move around the house and to get in tight crevices
and get dust on shelves without dustclothes

Love the suction and how light and easy the vacuum is but the cord is really heavy for home use- but still love it. ORECK users for 35 yrs!

I love a good vacuum. I have an old school Electrolux and a new Miele that are amazing. This Oreck is up to far with them, and will be perfect for cleaning my boat! The strap issue seems to have been addressed by Oreck, I have no issues. Good price for the value, great power, and lightweight.

I needed a vacuum for my small RV. This does a great job and tucks away in a small space. It is a little cumbersome having to hold it and vacuum at the same time. Has strong suction and the attachments are easy to use and just the right size.

I bought Oreck again because I’ve had Oreck previously. This particular model is high performance. Vacuum suction is phenomenal. The convenience of a compact handheld vacuum with attachments makes this an everyday appliance. No dirt or hair escapes my reach. I highly recommend. Great value for the price.

I so wanted to love this vacuum, but I am disappointed. In general, a small portable vac is great for all the spots an upright won’t go. This one fits that bill, but some of it’s features are a drag…literally. The power cord is a very long, heavy duty construction type cord that adds a lot of weight and bulk. It won’t stay wrapped around the “arms” on the vacuum that were provided for that purpose, and it’s a pain to coil up. I am using extra large rubber bands and dividing the bunch so there’s enough length to reach an outlet and enough length to reach where the vacuum needs to go, and the rest is bound up. Also, the vacuum hose retracts unless it is being manually extended, and that requires pulling against the retracting force, which is unnecessary effort. I’d rather the hose stay fully extended on its own. A lesser annoyance is that the tools come out of their holders easily. I store them in the closet until I need them. On the plus side the unit feels heavy duty and durable, and it does a good job vacuuming. If 1/2 stars were allowed, I’d give this 3.5 stars. I

Love this compact, easy to use, super powerful suction vacuum, it works amazingly well and is not very heavy. Nice long electric cord as well.

Una aspiradora muy pontente, no hace mucho ruido, pequeña y con los accesorios muy útiles. Su potencia de aspirado es muy buena.

Very powerful suction. Picks up bits of hay from a wool rug, which previous vaccuums couldnt touch.

Before I get to the shortcomings, I want to say that this is an excellent machine. It is not perfect, but it is a powerful, and well accessorized unit, and one hell of a value at the current price. Now for the relatively few shortcomings:
(1)The weakest link is the shoulder strap. It is actually made from a high quality webbing , but the STITCHES that secure the strap to the metal attachment clips are extremely inadequate. Mine lasted less than 1 minute before failing, and allowing the vacuum to fall from my shoulder. The FIX is relatively easy, and should be completed BEFORE the strap is attached to the machine. TIP: fet a couple of wooden spring-loaded clothes pins (a packet of these will cost you under one dollar at Dollar Tree). Spray the “business ends” of two clothes pins with WD-40 (super glue will not stick to WD-40). place each clip over the folded-over web ends so as to hold the “flaps” very close to the main webbing. Run a bead of SUPER GLUE along the end of the flaps so as to reinforce the stitching. (Do this far away from the machine itself, or you will wind up with drops of super glue where you don’t want it. Allow the super glue to dry for an hour or so… just to play it safe.
(2) The cradle that holds the accessories can easily be installed upside-down by mistake.Pay close attention to the (very small) pictorial in the assembly instructions. The semi-circular “blades” should be “sticking up” (top-side) when correctly installed. To my mind this is counter-intuitive,.. but this is correct. The caddy is difficult to snap into place, and you may think that you are going to break it, as much force is needed. Position one end into its proper “socket”, and snap the other end into place. BE SURE to first thread the puwer cord through the caddy correctly. I did it “upside down” and had to do it over. NOTE: the ONLY WAY to get the cord into the right slot in the caddy housing is to push it downward between the two semi-circular blades of the center accessory boss.
The assembly instructions are VERY sketchy in this regard.
(3) Number three will only affect fellow left-handed owners: the side-mounted electrical cord “caddy” interferes with your hip if you hang the unit on your right side. The only practical use is to hang the unit (from your shoulder) at your left hip, and hold the “wand” with your right hand. I put the strap over my right shoulder, and the strap crosses my chest diagonally. This provides the most secure body-mounting.
(4) Lastly, the unit is a bit heavy, and somewhat clumsy to tote… but that is a function of how well-built it is. The vacuum is very powerful, and very well made. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Cumple con su trabajo.

I finally get around to using it, and it works great. So powerful that after touching the fabric attachment to the couch, it took some muscle to pull it off the cushions. It has many attachments, including a duster that I used on the piano keys, and it sucked out pencil erasings, which are always a nuisance to deal with, but cause the keys to stick if you don’t take care of them. This thing is no plastic piece of fluff: it’s made of steel! It’s noisy, so I wouldn’t recommend running it when family is watching TV, or someone’s on the phone. The bags are little, but they come in a batch of eight. I didn’t use the shoulder strap, but I think next time I will. The cord is very long. Long enough, probably, that you can clean everyone’s couch on your block without using another outlet.
