Cleans better than a Swiffer on hard wood floors or tile!! Easy to assemble. Power cord is ok for small spaces, not good for long hallways or big areas. You need an extension cord for sure. Medium to hard when it comes to easy of sliding on hardwood or tile floors. Older people may have difficulty pushing it.

I generally try to limit my use of chemical cleaners on my floors, and instead use a steam mop for my everyday floor cleaning needs. For years, I’ve used the same steam mop and was intrigued by the compact size and sleek look of the Newbeater Steam Mop, so I decided to give it a try.
The Good:
– Small
– Lightweight
– Large mop head
– Carpet glider works!
– Water tank looks small (500mL) but lasts a long time
– Mop pads are durable and easy to clean
The Bad:
– So far, nothing
I would suggest using a funnel to fill the tank. The opening is rather small and the 500mL beaker they include for measuring water and filling the mop pours sloppily.
I used it on the carpet and hard floors of my apartment and was very happy with how well it cleaned both, as well as how quickly the surfaces dried. I really like this mop!

When you first unbox this you see how nice the finish of it is up close. I had a Bissell $130 steam mop before and, while it worked, this one is like the luxury model compared in terms of design. It also outclasses the Bissell in functional ways, two in particular: First, it has three steam settings, and all are very useful. The low is good for my hardwood floors — enough to deep clean but not overdo it. The medium is just right for the tile in my kitchen, which can need a bit more to get spotless. And at the highest setting it churns out more very hot steam than the Bissell did, doing an outstanding job of really deep-cleaning carpet. Which brings me to the second key feature: the carpet glider — it’s perfect! Just the right clearance to good over any carpet or rug while still so close that the steam is delivered where you want it. I’d also note it feels and looks built to last, and the water tank is thankfully larger capacity than the Bissell. Really impressed with this.

So far I’ve have good luck with this. We have like of those laminate “hard wood” looking floors. It works good. Especially in the tile floors in the bathroom too! At first, I was a little hesitant, that the container where the cleaning liquid goes it was going to be too small. However, after filling it all the way up and using it, it’s just the right size for me to get all of the mopping done that I need to in my whole house. It does work pretty good. I have three younger children so things getting spilled on floors is typically a regular thing in my house. I consider this mop to be more of a slow and steady, wins the race. If you’re trying to rush mopping, it’s not gonna work as good. If you take your time and go over the floor a little bit more slowly in a little bit more control. You really don’t have to do a lot of scrubbing, and you can let the steam power do the work for you. I didn’t notice any major streaking, but I think that has a lot to do with the cleaning solution and not necessarily a mop itself. If I could change anything, I would say that I think it would be great if it was rechargeable versus with a power cord but other than that, I really like it it’s good size it’s not too bulky , it stands up by itself and doesn’t fall over. For the price especially with the coupon it currently has it listed with. I would definitely say it’s worth the price. I prefer this over my regular for sure and I would recommend it.

If you are buying this as a carpet cleaner because the seller is saying it is a carpet cleaner in the Amazon listing, I recommend you do not do it. I put on the carpet glider and put the steam setting set to the highest level, and there was no cleaning of my carpet whatsoever. The amount of steam is way too weak, along with the fact the microfiber pad is quite thin and ineffective at pulling dirt from carpet.
The unit I received is not defective at all. It is just completely ineffective as a carpet cleaner. As a floor cleaner, it’s way more capable, but the microfiber pads they include are still disappointing when it comes to quality.

This steam cleaner does its job! It was so simple to put together…literally took only a minute or two. I highly recommend using distilled water in the unit so as not to have it develop mold/mildew or get clogged with minerals at some point. The steam feature took only seconds to heat up and start steaming and was easy to start with the push of a button. It comes with two cleaning pads which I thought was very nice and they are both easy to clean. The cleaner did a pretty darn good job cleaning my floors. I was very pleased as it did get up some “spill” that I noticed on the floor very easily. No sticky residue or anything left behind. There were some streaks in a few spots, but that was probably due to residue from my swiffer pads. The unit is pretty lightweight and very easy to manipulate around corners and tight spots. I was able to clean my downstairs living area only refilling the cartridge twice so its a pretty nice size. I honestly really enjoyed my cleaning session and look forward to using this puppy at least once a week! Overall, I highly recommend this steam cleaner for hardwood floors!
