Please, just buy this one. I am a husky owner and have four other dogs and a cat. Trust me, this is the one. My floors have never been cleaner and I love the size of the dust cup!

Bought this to replace an aging Hoover Air, which is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned, though its not like I have had or used lots, but I have used a good number. So I will compare this vacuum to the Hoover Air, which I guess they dont make anymore.
First off, both are steerable – and that is a really nice feature. Allows you to turn the device on a dime and get around something. I would not own a vacuum that is not steerable now that I have used one.
They both have great suction. What is odd is that the Windtunnel comes with a switch that lets you set it to lower suction. Why would anyone want less suction?! The manual states that when you turn the device on it comes on at high suction – this is incorrect, it defaults to low suction. Found that out through trial and error.
Also, both vacuums have a brush on/off switch, which is good when vacuuming bare floor – you don’t need the brush on then and the brush can actually scatter debris. However the manual does not instruct on how to turn the brush on/off. You have to hold the suction button for three seconds.
The Windtunnel comes with an LED headlight, which is very useful, the Air did not.
The Windtunnel is about 2 lbs heavier than the air. Not a show stopper but still. The Windtunnel is just a larger vacuum.
After using the Windtunnel for a couple of months I would say it is entirely comparable to the Air and I give it five starts as well.

I bought this vacuum in 2021. It’s still powerful and great for pet fur. I bought this to use at my mom’s house. She has 6 indoor/ outdoor cats and I vacuum once a week for her. I had been using another bagless upright. The first time I used this vacuum, the carpet appeared to change color because it was removing so much more dirt! Gross, but rewarding. The power wand is genius. I can easily pull it and get the baseboards and edges of the carpet. The attachment for ceiling fans coupled with the Power wand is brilliant. Those cats get fur on fan blades! Gross, but easy to clean now while I’m standing in the ground. I’m 5’3″. I used to have to get a step stool to clean the ceiling fan. I love this vacuum. It’s so powerful and strong that it’s a little bit of a workout to use it, but so worth it. I could set it for a higher carpet level, but I keep it low so that it gets every bit of fur and ick. The little turning upholstery brush is good for removing fur off furniture. With 6 cats bringing in sand from the yard, I think we’ve put this vacuum to the test. I’ve had to replace the belt when it was bound up from hair, but it was easy and inexpensive. Highly recommend.

Has a crazy suction. I threw away all my other dinky vacs after receiving this puppy. Would recommend 👍

Works great, we have 2 dogs and one sheds terribly so have to vacuum every day to keep up with him. It is a heavier vacuum that my old one but it also works way better. We also live where there are coal mines and there’s a lot of fine dust that seems to make it in the house and this picks up an amazing amount every time I use it. No lack of suction and it’s easy to switch from carpet to hard floors. The wand releases easily and can get the right corners without much effort.

This vacuum works very well and what it is intended for. Cat hair is picked up very well and the suction is good. It is quite loud and will not work well on stairs in my opinion because the wand attachment is stiff and not long enough. I received the version that the brush keeps rolling when the wand is being used which is irritating. I find the foot lever does release with alittle more force and it maneuvers ok. It does not shoot out the litter from the back end which is nice on a hard surface. I would recommend it to pick up pet hair for sure as I vacuumed up a whole other cat I didn’t know I had. Works for its intended purpose but might be alittle loud and awkward for someone older, a senior.

Good suction, powerful but I got a damaged box item for reduced proce, only stating box was damaged. The product inside was also damaged slightly, with the clip holding the canister to the vaccum broken. Instead of the hassle of returning it I used a large runner band to hold it in place and it works fine. Just buyer beware of damaged box items.

I am just sharing my experience with this Hoover UH74110 model we purchased on Amazon and why I am labeling it as one star. I am sure others have/are having a better experience, but I am just sharing our experience with it. We bought this model a few months ago after having purchased the same model (Pet model) back in 2013. The foot switch broke on that 2013 model along with the fact that it felt like the brush, leveler, and plastic housing were starting to wear out, so I relegated it to keeping and using it in the garage. Flash forward to this 2021 or so model (UH74110). It feels really light, almost cheap-like, as it is probably all plastic. It doesn’t have much weight to it and pushing the vacuum forward keeps the roller brush tight to the floor, but when you pull it back, the vacuum seems to lift off the floor. My hunch is that it is so light that pulling it back towards you doesn’t keep enough weight and suction to keep it close to the floor. Granted light vacuums are easier to move around and are easier on the body, but this model just seems so cheap. I would expect the canister lid clip to break after a few years (we try to keep vacuums for 10+ years). My spouse was using this new model the other day and inadvertently sucked up a t-shirt I had under the bed. Yes my fault, forgot about it, but when she sucked it up, it bent the brush roller on the end and it wouldn’t spin causing the belt to start to burn and smoke. I took it apart to see why the roller wouldn’t spin. I couldn’t get it to spin by hand so I called Hoover customer service to see if I could buy a new one or get a replacement. Because it was “user error” they wouldn’t honor the warranty and on top of that Hoover didn’t have a new replacement roller brush on hand. So the vacuum we purchase two months ago was useless without the brush. I looked around the web for the roller brush part number and it is out-of-stock everywhere. The roller brush is about $30 FYI. In the meantime, I ordered a different vacuum for pets. We bought the Bissell model 2258 for pets and it is night and day better than this Hoover. It stays close to the floor, the cord re-winds, and feels like it pulls up a lot of dirt. Not wanting to give up on the new Hoover model, I took out a vice-grip wrench and forced the roller to spin. I got it to loosen up finally and I sprayed some liquid graphite on the end where the plastic bent. It made a grinding sound for awhile, but I got it to work again. I relegated this Hoover to the basement. All-in-all I would avoid this model in favor of something else. Just my opinion.
