Works very well. We have a cat that throws up a lot and I’m using this carpet cleaner every few days. It cleans the carpeting very well, it’s easy to clean the machine after use, and it’s very light so it’s easy to carry around. I’ve had several remanufactured Bissell carpet cleaners but they didn’t last more than a year before they started leaking water or carpet cleaning liquid. The Hoover machine has less parts and is a simpler design. It feels a little flimsy but most of it is made of plastic so its understandable. I like that it has a hose attachment so I can clean upholstery and car seats. For someone who has pets it’s great. It’s a lot cheaper to buy a machine like this than have a carpet cleaning company come into your house. The quicker you can clean up a stain on the carpet the easier the stain will come out. Having a carpet cleaner at home is really convenient so you can get carpet stains out quickly.

This thing is a beast. We can clean our entire apartment, twice, and in so doing we have paid for the machine. The amount of dirt it pulls out of our carpets is embarrassing. The machine is efficient, easy to clean, easy to handle, and runs with real vigor, brushing, rubbing, and sucking and rinsing. Nothing feeble here. p.s Never, will we have carpets again.

I was a bit skeptical to buy after reading a few of the ‘not so good’ reviews. It went on a sale too good to pass up around Christmas so I gave it a go. We are a home owner with three bedrooms, hallway and living room carpeted. We also have 3 kids and 3 dogs (2 big & 1 small). It works fantastic! One of our rescues is sick and sometimes has diarrhea (it’s extremely disgusting!) and this shampooer gets the stain out. We spot treat with the LA awesome carpet cleaner from Dollar Tree, let it set overnight, then shampoo the spot. If there is still a light stain I will spray again with the Dollar Tree stain remover, wait a few mins and do it again. It’s happened about 8 times now and can’t tell anything happened. One of the biggest ‘complaints’ is the water drip line that happens after use. I’ve kept an eye out and it’s not terrible. It’s obviously from the condensation after it’s been steaming. We just leave our cleaner on the backporch or in the bathroom for a few hours after use to give it a chance to dry. We have carpet at the back door entrance and it pulls the dirt out. It’s a little confusing at first, but you squeeze and hold the trigger as you go up the area, then realease, squeeze and hold the trigger, then go back down your line. I usually go through it slowly 2-3 more times without holding the trigger.

Used the carpet cleaner for the first time today and it worked splendidly. Hopefully it will last. I have had 4 carpet cleaners in the last 4 years and NONE have lasted more than 3 times in any given year. What makes it more disconcerting is that I only have 3 area rugs to clean in my entire house. I only needed to use 1 gallon of water, which was the size of the tank to clean the three 12 X 10 rugs. However there is no where in the manual or on the machine, in which it tells you how much cleaning solution to use. It came with a bottle of cleaning solution and the cup on the machine indicates 1 oz but nothing about how much you should use. I just filled the 1 oz cup with the gallon of hot water and it did the job. The filthy water lets you know how dirty your carpets were.
I can only say that this carpet cleaner was easy to put together and use and that is was powerful in getting out dirt. I cannot say if it will last but I will be back, if it stops working in a year from now, to let you know. I am expecting the worse and hoping for the best.

Very happy with the product so far. It’s a huge upgrade from my previous 15 year-old carpet cleaner. It’s a lot easier to take the tank in and out. I like that the tank is one piece instead of a separate piece for the solution. The old one (on my old model) broke off and will not reseat, rendering the whole thing useless.
It cleaned the carpet very well and did a nice job on the tile in my bathroom.
Price is excellent. It’s lighter and easier to manage. Gets pretty close to the wall and the hose unit is easy to manage.
Love the bag for the hose and nozzle. Solves the storage issue when not in use.

I use only boiling water, no detergent and it cleans beautifully. It even has an upholstery attachment. Love it.

LOVE it. What an AWESOME machine. I have a puppy whom I adore, but housetraining him was a complete nightmare. The ‘war-wounds’ my carpet sustained from battling his training attempts were awful. The urine stains were very deep and covered a large area. Overall, machine did an awesome job of getting it up. There were like 2 defiant spots that didn’t come clean, but the stains were so deep so a few spots were to be expected. It will probably need to be re-treated a few times, which is ok. But for general, high-traffic areas with normal day-to-day soiling, this is the machine you want. This shampooer is worth every cent. It comes with a 2x concentrated solution in the box but I didn’t use that; I purchased Hoover Pet Plus concentrated solution from Amazon, about $11 for the bottle. I’m gonna attempt the cleaning again, using the enclosed solution with hopes of getting the stubborn residual stains left on the carpet. Normal noise level comparable to a vacuum, comparable in size as well so no worries on storing it. Cord length will allow access throughout a typical mid-sized living room & down a hallway. When migrating to the bedrooms you’ll have to relocate to a new plug. Comes with upholstery attachments & a cute little storage bag to keep them in. Super-easy assembly with only 2 screws to screw in, easy to empty, easy to fill, easy instructions, just an all-around great product. I recommend to anyone.
