I appreciate the quality build of the sweeper and compact size. The unit is perfect for touch ups in between vacuuming. The sweeper works very well on hard flooring and low pile area rugs. Easy to use and a breeze to empty the bag-less holding chambers. Worth every penny and I expect to get a lifetime of use.

We have always had a Carpet Sweeper in our house. Due to rising Electricity costs I decided to get a new version of the traditional one and researched carefully before making a purchase. This Fuller Brush Company unit gets 5 Stars from me. Despite its’ petite size it is a good weight and cleans fabulously easily. Even after running over the rugs this week with a Mini Vac I was amazed at what was picked up in the first use. The 3 Yr Limited Warranty is an extra bonus. It was shipped quickly to Australia as well.

My mother had one similar to this, so thinking it was so old-fashioned, I saw no need for one. I got this for cleaning my oriental rug because I needed it. Running a vacuum cleaner on it has damaged the fibers. For the rug’s sake and ease of use on all floors, I wish I had one of these eons ago.
This sweeper is very simple to put together and empty, it picks up cat hair and dirt, and is so easy to use.
It does not require water or cleaning liquid, it doesn’t require electricity or batteries, it weighs as much as a broom and it takes up the same amount of room in the closet. Just grab it and go.

I always wanted the Fuller Brush Sweeper for years. My mother still has hers for years and it still works great. I am so happy I finally bought the Sweeper and I love it so much. I will purchase another one for my mother in the future so she has a new one. I wish it was cheaper but, it is worth the expense because I tried two other sweepers from the stores, but not worth buying. Comparing it to Fuller Brush they can not compete with Fuller Brush. I have a multi-cat household, including two long-haired cats, and I needed something that would pick up cat hair and cat litter on all of my floor surfaces so that I didn’t need to bring out my vacuum cleaner daily. I have a vacuum that uses disposable bags rather than being bagless and I didn’t want to be filling up a bag with cat hair and having to change the bag frequently or get cat litter dust throughout my high-end vacuum cleaner. The reviews for the different brands of carpet sweepers and the different models of Fuller Brush sweepers were confusing but I bought the Fuller Brush 17052 Electrostatic Carpet Sweeper based on my experience with Fuller Brush products and hoped it would meet my needs. I have a Prime membership and the sweeper was delivered today (Sunday) two days after I ordered it. NOTE: Although the picture of the item on amazon.com is pink, mine is a bright red.
Putting sweeper together: It is important to make sure you are starting to thread the ends of sections and the bottom section of the handle to the sweeper correctly (i.e. start out straight/even; not crooked) so that they completely close together. It was easier for me to screw one section of the handle at a time starting at the bottom section being screwed into the base and then adding another section until the entire handle is screwed together rather than trying to screw the long handle already assembled onto the sweeper body. The plastic comb or rake just clips onto the bottom of the handle and wire bracket of the sweeper which is very handy to keep from misplacing it since you will need it to brush or rake the roller brush to remove cat hair that gets caught in the bristles of the roller. This model only comes with a natural bristle roller brush therefore I was not able to test the second type of roller brush that some Fuller Brush models come with.
I tested the sweeper on all my floor surfaces that were covered with cat litter and cat hair: high pile wall-to-wall carpet, medium-pile area rug and porcelain tile. The sweeper picked up cat litter and cat hair off high pile carpeting, area rugs and hard tile floors. The reviewers who complained that you had to go over the same area several times to remove all of the cat hair and litter were correct, but I don’t see that as a genuine problem—if I was sweeping my tile floors with a broom, I would have to go over the same path several times and my vacuum cleaner usually has to go over the same path to pick up cat hair or cat litter from high pile carpeting and med. pile throw rugs. The sections of the handle are screwed together and I did notice that I must inadvertently turn the handle as I am using the sweeper since I need to tighten two sections if they are no longer tightly screwed together—this may cease to be a problem once I am used to the sweeper. It is very light and easy to use on all of the floor surfaces going forward or back and the main path that the head covers is 7″ with the bristles on the four corners bringing the length of the sweeper head to 8 1/2″. The other reviewers are correct—-it doesn’t do away with the need for a vacuum cleaner but is an adjunct to your vacuum–very important if you are like me and have cat hair and litter on your floors daily.
To empty sweeper: Over a waste paper basket or trash container, turn the sweeper upside down and press “PUSH” to empty each dust container. I filled one dust container twice; emptied it twice and the other dust container remained empty. Use the rake or comb to get the cat hair out of the bristles of the roller and I found that if you use the comb to bring the cat hair up you can then pull it off the roller with your fingers. You will be amazed at the amount of cat hair that will be on the roller and in the dust container and the amount of litter and litter dust that the sweeper has gotten off your floors. The bottom of the sweeper was very dusty from the cat litter and needed to be wiped off with a paper towel or cloth when I finished. NOTE: You can’t use harsh abrasive cleaners or put the sweeper or roller in your automatic dishwasher. The instruction sheet that comes with the sweeper is easy to understand and must have been written by someone whose first language was English—which I greatly appreciate!
This carpet sweeper appears to be well made and durable; and is a bargain at the price. I have no idea why other Fuller Brush carpet sweeper products vary in price—-perhaps newer models, two types vs just one type of roller brush, etc. Based on the results of my test and the two Fuller Brush nylon hair brushes that my mother and then I have used constantly since 1950 (which still look brand new other than one has slightly yellowed), I think I will be using this sweeper for years to come and probably daily around cat litter boxes. I highly recommend this carpet sweeper. I hope this information will be useful to you in selecting a carpet sweeper if you have cats.

When I ordered this I was not expecting a lot. I bought it to use on my 5×7 washable rug. My regular vacuum was too rough on the binding. I have a big bouncy dog who tracks in a lot of dirt and debris from the yard. So I ordered this little sweeper and I love it! It picks up the dirt and grit with just a little effort. It is so small and light weight so I never hesitate to get it out and use it. It also works well on my hardwood floors. Emptying the sweeper is quick and the brushes are easy to clean, too. I’m so happy I decided to try this little sweeper!

No plugs cleans the floor real good . It’s been around for a long time.

It doesn’t pick up dog hair very well it tends to like ball it up and then I can see it sitting there and have to pick it up. It does pick up some of it. Our dog sheds constantly.

Hi Everyone!
This sweeper has its place in every home! I have long been researching options to pick up dust/fluff, hair etc. quickly, I think I did a great job comparing Bissell vs other NoName Sweepers on our market ( Switzerland, Europe). I did not buy for a year to collect more data, watched countless videos and reviews. No, this is not a sponsored/infuenced review. This is my honest opinion.
I contacted Fuller if they can send it to us to Switzerland, but there was no way. So I ordered it here to a delivery address to Germany. Yesterday I got it and could not wait to see if it collects my long blond hair, my husbands fluff , dog hair etc. THIS SWEEPER DOES AN AMAZING JOB! I went through hard floor, and hard wood floor plus carpets. All surfaces clean! I was really shocked how much fluff was collected off the “seemingly” clean carpet. Wow! The best that this even cleans up the in-between places at the junctions of carpet and hard floor where Bissell was not great at all. Top top top or as we say here, tip top! I was looking for a solution to collect fluff quickly and quietly, and this is the best I found. Amazingly smooth and makes no noise compared to a hand vacuum. The sweeper house is sturdy, even if it bumps into a harder surface – eg. wall, table – it does no harm. Most importantly, it will not damage more expensive rugs. Of course, this is not for deep cleaning and will not replace regular vacuuming, but for everyday I found the solution I wanted!
Super solution for families with pets, or anyone where hair on floor is an issue and you wish to have a tidy home all the time!
I hope you found value in my review, and wish you all well!

I am over 60. I remember my GRANDMOTHER having a Fuller brand home item. My wife was looking for a sweeper for our short carpeted room. So, as usual, my research began. Time after time, review after review, people would, in the end, mention The Fuller Brush Company.
This sweeper is NOT cheap, and there is a VERY good reason for that. It’s a quality machine. Every piece is solid, well-made, and history has shown, durable and long-lasting.
You can spend 10-20 bucks on a sweeper that MIGHT last a few months to maybe a year. If you want one that works flawlessly, every time, and lasts for 10 years, THIS is the sweeper you want.

This isn’t a vacuum. It’s not going to give you a vacuum’s performance, or the convenience of attachments for upholstery and all that. But it cleans up the litter my cat flings everywhere, the daily kitchen detritus, the outdoor rug on my porch especially well, better than a broom and dustpan. And it doesn’t make me have to reach for noise canceling headphones just to deal with small messes. It doesn’t scare my cat. And frankly it’s way cuter than the vacuum and more portable, too. If I had a complaint, it’s that the handle likes to unscrew/loosen in use if I don’t hold it a certain way, so I just put a dot of barge cement on there as I’m never going to disassemble it. Also if you have long hair you will have to get a pair of scissors and cut it off the roller now and then the same way you do on a vacuum. Overall, I’m really glad I got this, and would buy it as a present. Nice color selection, by the way.
