The tank capacity goes a long way toward cleaning multiple bathrooms, kitchen, etc. My only complaint is the cord length, which may be a safety feature. The squeegee attachment works surprisingly well at cleaning exterior windows. Tip: use an outdoor extension cord.

I have only one other steamer i ever had to compare to, but overall this one is very good for around the house cleaning. It has a 50 ounce capacity, and makes alot of steam. It does not specify that you must use distilled water, which is a nice option. I like the trigger lock, it is easy to do, even with my arthritic hands. The release is very large and easy to find, and it is simple to lock, both when steaming and when not (like for changing nozzle heads.) comes with a variety of nozzle heads, and i love the onboard storage for the small stuff. I would have liked the instructions to be more specific…for instance, the parts of the machine are numbered, and there is a list of parts to refer to , but the list does not contain the numbers! so what good are they? The cover for the tank literally does not release if the machine is hot, so it takes awhile if you are in a big job and have to refill the tank, you have to wait until it is cool enough for the tank cover to release, but that is a great safety feature, to keep from being burned. It is lightweight, has a nice handle, and easy to carry, but i would have liked for a way for the nozzle to be secured to the machine while carrying. Because, as i said before, the instructions are a little strange, it does not show if there is a way to do this. I also would like to be able to buy replacement tools, like more brushes, but there is no information about doing this in the literature. Overall, i am happy, and will use it til it breaks, like i did the last one…

Easy to use, great for cleaning the grout on tile floors, garage doors, (amazing)…shower doors and many, many other things. So happy with purchase.

I got it yesterday and spent today cleaning dirty tile kitchen, tile hallway and two bathrooms. How dirty? House rental dirty. Next time I rent I’m going to insist on training them how to mop a floor.
Some commenters have complained about the duty cycle. You can’t just pull the trigger and clean until you lose steam pressure and not expect it to have some recovery time. That’s why I call it an AID. It supplements the traditional tools, it doesn’t replace them. I presoaked the tile grout with a mild general purpose cleaner that doesn’t leave a residue. Then I followed up with the steam to blow off the dirty cleaner. Then I clean mopped. By working on a section at a time, maybe 20 sq. ft, I never ran out of steam until the tank was empty. I’d presoak 20 tiles, let that soak a little, hit it with the steam, clean mop then repeat on another 20 tiles giving the steamer time to recover. What the steam cleaner saved was heavy duty scrubbing with a brush. That saved overall time and energy.
I used in for all the tile floors, the shower/tub, the toilets, and the sinks. Also the counter stove. I did not use it for windows or any wood surfaces. Maybe next time I’ll try windows. For the kind of work I bought it for, I’m perfectly happy with the purchase.

I purchased the product to better steam clean my floors, carpet and furniture. I was given to believe the Ewbank would do all the work – so I ordered it. I followed the instructions to the letter, giving it the requisite 45 minutes to fully heat up and release steam. Then I started with the kitchen floor – which is white and shows scuffs easily. Not only did it not steam, one of the wheels came off. After reattaching the wheel, I gave the device an additional 45 minutes to heat. It heated up, but never steamed – and has not steamed to this day. I contacted Amazon after a week and was informed that it was supplied through a third party, and they would have to consent to the refund. SMH. Amazon used to be known for its integrity in standing by a product and refunding replacing it regardless of the time. The Ewbank has been sitting in my closet taking up space and gathering dust.. I recently retried it after several months – and now it’s not even heating. This is a bad purchase – there are many other quality devices that may well do better – actually, if it even steams at all, you’re way ahead of the game. The Ewbank is an insult to Amazon customers.
