I was forced to buy a canister vacuum because my first Eureka Mighty Mite died after nearly 20 years of daily use! Initially I panicked, believing it would be impossible to find a vacuum of the same quality at ANY price. To my delight, the Sanitaire Mighty Mite exceeded its predecessor with the optional fine particle filter. It cost slightly more than I had paid for my first vacuum, but if you factor in inflation, it’s actually less expensive and I’m hoping this will run for the next 20 years. The particular features I appreciate are the simplicity, & lightness, without compromising suction strength.
The only improvement I can imagine would be an automatic retractable electric cord. (That is one feature I’d like to see on almost EVERY corded product. One caveat I’d like to highlight is this model does not have a beater bar, so if that is what you specifically are shopping for, then I’d recommend the Eureka upright – The Boss.

It does the job. It is somewhat cheaply made but does a good job at vacuuming. Great suction. I got it for my elderly mother who complained that her Dyson was too heavy. She loves it ! So I’m happy 😊

I am very pleased with the Mighty Mite Sanitaire canister vacuum. Great value. Lightweight. Great suction power. Accessories pick up dog hair well on floors and furniture. Reaches under furniture fairly well. Easy to change bags. Takes little space to store. Works so much better on bare floors and tile than my upright “carpet” vacuum which advertised that it would vacuum bare floors. The salesperson told us that it will not last as long as the $300 models, but we should get about 4-5 years of use. We think you will be pleased if you buy this little vac.

I have had this vacuum for approx a month now. I LOVE IT!!! You do not need to order the extra piece that one of the reviewers recommends. I read all the reviews and ordered it. The vacuum as it is …is just perfect. Read how to work the machine and it is just fine. Yesterday I took it to my daughters school in Newark to clean her classroom . I really should have had a shop vac….but this little vacuum did just great. ( cleaning out dust and particles from a closet that wasn’t vacuumed out for years. ) Now I am home vacuuming my home and just had to stop and write a review because this machine is mighty as they say and worth it. Price is good too. Buy it….you won’t be disappointed.

This vacuum was bought to heft up and down levels in our home to clean. It is exceptionally lightweight and powerful. The suction took some getting used to because it is so powerful it would suck up small rugs. The accessories are useful and easy to interchange. For the price this is an awesome little vacuum and just what we wanted.

This is a great little vacuum as long as you understand and accept its strong points and limitations. It is a compact and lightweight yet powerful machine that’s great for cleaning hard floors, dusting, getting into hard to reach places and general household cleaning.
It wasn’t designed for carpet cleaning – for that I use my heavy duty Sanitaire upright vacuum with beater brush. It’s not designed for garage/shop cleaning of sawdust, water, gravel, nails, etc. For that I use my 10-gallon wet/dry Shop-Vac.
I first bought a Sanitaire S3681D 3 years ago for my college student daughter to clean her apartment and car. It has worked very well, it’s easy for her to handle, takes up little space and she hasn’t been able to break it. Last month, my 40+ year old Eureka canister vacuum finally died, so I bought another Sanitaire S3681D to replace it, remembering how well my daughter’s has worked. I wasn’t disappointed. It easily takes over where my big upright carpet vacuum leaves off.
Some reviewers have mentioned that the machine gets warm (not hot) to the touch while running. This is because of the powerful 12-Amp motor inside, which provides strong suction. It’s the most powerful small vacuum I’ve ever found.
My favorite features are its light weight – only 8 lbs., compact size, easy carry handle on top, it sits either horizontal or upright, it rolls easily on its wheels, the bags are quick/easy to change and it sucks like crazy.

Due to COVID-19, my family has been quarantining at home together. This has created the need for us to clean our floors more regularly, so we purchased this vacuum cleaner. I’ll first start out by saying that it does do a very good job cleaning the floors. It has a powerful suction mechanism, and it can pick up all different types of particles.
However, this product is quite possibly one of the loudest consumer products I have ever heard. I have had to purchase earmuffs and earplugs just to be able to work while someone is using this machine. Even if they are on the opposite side of the house, I cannot escape the high pitched roaring. I’ve probably been to construction sites that aren’t as loud.
As a side note, the machine is also incredibly bulky. It takes up a lot of storage space and is very difficult to move around the house. While our floors may be cleaner, I have come to view this machine as more of a nuisance than a help.

I’ve always had sanitare canister vacuums. Mostly the commercial red one. I decided to try something different so I got the Blue Pro. I do like the newer wand, but more the bare floor attachment. It feels a lot more solid than the older style. Try not to expect the best from cleaning carpet though, that’s what the sanitare upright is for. Those big metal heavy red upright vacuums. They’ve been around a LOOOOOONG time, the reason being is because they’re the Best. All these new bagless and $600+ heavy marketed ones, you know the one, they just don’t hold up like these sanitares do, same goes for the uprights. Replace a beater bar every few weeks or months (depending on the use frequency) and that’s it. Change the bag, do not ever by a bagless, they’re a gimmick pile of junk just to make you feel better about yourself. Very pleased with the blue professional. All the attachments, plenty of heavy duty cord and will not fail you.
