Not effective. Used it in a few different drains, no luck

Wow, finally! We had a mysterious sewer gas odor in the upstairs bathroom of our four year old bi-level home for several years. I must have spent spent over $2,000 of the course of three years trying to fix the issue. Tried resetting the toilet five times. Tried replacing the toilet. Tried replacing the closet flange, etc… Plumbers didnt know what to do. Big waste of money. Thank God for this product.
I put half of this down the bathtub drain using an automotive funnel, and the other half down the main cleanout down by the road. The problem is gone and the bathtub no longer gulps for air when I drain it. We must have had something fierce in the pipes. My family must have been breathing in sewer gas for several years. The central air system is putting out fresher air too now.
Be careful and take your time with this stuff. If it gets on your drain fixtures, tubs or sinks, be ready with some baking soda and water, or it’ll ruin it.
edit: well it came back four days later. ordered two more of these and will pouring both down the main cleanout.

Works great. A little goes a long way.

I poured this product down the drain of my kitchen sink, stainless steel, and it gurgled back up and turned the sink black. It did end up clearing the clog, but I have to replace the sink. Six hours of scrubbing and trying to get it back did not work.

Very good product and supplier

Not for use in older pipes, or pipes that need to be treated gently.
Otherwise, this is the stuff to use. Doesn’t matter what the clog, it will be gone in seconds with this.
I have not encountered any organics clog that this didn’t fix.
Be sure to read the inserts and directions, the fumes can be pretty nasty.

Santeen is the best drain cleaner I have found. Opens plugged drains in a hurry.

Our maintenance team uses this at the factory. I’ve used it at home for difficult clogs. When all others fail, this stuff will work on anything organic. Don’t touch it, and of course don’t breath it. To protect your stainless sink, use a plastic funnel so it goes into one of the small drain slots if possible.
