I use these for stairs, and while I read the reviews about the lack of suction, or small container size, I found this perfect. The stairs look better than ever, it has great cleaning power, and I don’t mind that I have to refill it halfway down the stairs. I can see the dirt coming up so it is worth a few extra steps to refill it! Really happy with this product. I’ve tried a few other compact carpet cleaners, and this is my fav so far.

We have 2 dogs that track in dirt from the yard so I’m certain spots it looks horrible on light grey carpet. The other carpet cleaner we had was a Shark brand and it did pretty good but over time had become less effective. This one we just got is very nimble, very easy to snap together and with the proper solution it easily cleaned up the carpet and didn’t leave a bunch of water on the carpet. The solution smells great but not over powering. The auction on this little guy is impressive. For the price is well worth replacing it every other year. We’re happy the dogs not so much. Seems like they are sad their artwork has been removed. Give this Dirt devil a try and I think you’ll be impressed as well. Oh….. Very easy to fill and to clean out after done. And it’s water resistance is admirable.

I have had and used several brands of carpet cleaners over the years, and this one is, by far, the simplest one to operate. It was a piece of cake to put together and this weekend I put it through it’s paces. Let me tell you, it was a pleasure (well as much as shampooing rugs can be, lol) to use.
Sadly, this was a replacement for a different brand I had purchased a few months ago which turned out disastrously. The other one not only leaked horribly and did a sub par job, but also required a degree in engineering to clean after use, and was annoyingly difficult to change out either tank. Total fail, in my book. This one, on the other hand, is amazingly simple to remove and refill or empty the tanks and clean up is a breeze. It does leak a smidge if left in one spot for a while, but that seems to be pretty typical of all of these home cleaners. Probably just moisture collecting on the bottom plus a little left in the machine while in regular use. Just be sure to run it over any resting spot before moving on.
It is all plastic, so not uber sturdy, but it is pretty lightweight and it sucks up most of the water it puts down, so it doesn’t take long for your carpets to dry. There are two settings. Deep clean (normal amount of water) and Quick clean (less water).
The clean water tank isn’t huge, but since adding more water is super easy, it’s not really a problem. And the collection tank is a bit larger, so you don’t have to empty it as often as you are refilling the other. And, of course, it does a great job of, you know, cleaning, which is after all its most important feature.
However, for me, another critical point is whether or not it’s another whole ordeal to disassemble and clean once finished. Let’s face it, nobody likes to clean their carpet, and once you are done you want nothing more than to put that sucker up and move on, right? Luckily, this baby is the easiest one to clean up afterwards I’ve ever had. The dirty water tank has zero nooks and crannies that are impossible to reach. It’s just fill and vigorously swish. That’s it! The only place I noticed holding on to grunge was the around the filter gasket, and I just ran a dull edge around it under water and that took care of it. A good wipe down of the undercarriage and brush and you are free to get back to your life.
It ain’t fancy but it sure gets the job done in the quickest amount of time with the least amount of aggravation. Mind you, if that changes, I will update my review, but so far so good!

Used this to get dirt and dust out of a couch i got for free (from some guys garage). It took all the gunk and stains out! Also used this on a rug and it took the smell right out. Works nice. On the instructions it says to only use their brand of cleaner, but I used other brands and it still works. Fast, small, and easy to take apart.

I opened the box and was excited about how compact and easy to use it was. I set it up and noticed the attachment was broken. I was going to return it but decided to reach out to Dirt Devil for a replacement part. They have created a case. I decided to use the other attachment and was super impressed with how well it worked. If I receive the replacement part it is 100 percent a great product. It is super easy to clean and store also. Only 4 stars because of the broken part. I wish I had a before picture of the carpet but with a toddler and all boys in the house there were plenty of stains that have vanished.

We have had a number of carpet cleaning machines over the years, both upright and portable. Each of them eventually succumbed to suction problems – difficult to clean the cleaning solution out after use.
We ordered this unit based on reviews after our portable green machine packed it in. Very impressive. Light weight, simply to use, great suction and for the first time, a clean out port to ensure the solution is fully removed before storage. Brilliant! Highly recommend.

Ok on first assembly I was skeptical because it seems…. kind of flimsy. But I was wrong. It’s sturdy and light.
I got it filled up with warm water and just tested it out. Lots of cleaning. Heck of a lot of deep agitation and the carpet itself was beat but the deep powerful agitation and cleaning solution was enough to draw decades of dirt out. Wow.
Ok so I’m impressed. And for the price, the no frills light and powerful, low cost machine made me a believer..
The folks looking to clean carpet with powerful brushes and suction at a no frills low cost should buy this.

This vacuum is replacing my Bissell wet vac for pets (Pro Heat) and the Dirt Devil is way better. It’s a similar design but the DD fixed a lot of product flaws in the Bissell.
The Bissell has a rigid hose so mine eventually got a tear. I looked the problem up online and found a lot of people had the same issue since the hose gets twisted so easily and eventually just cracks.
The DD is lighter and smaller, so much easier to store. The water tank is also much smaller than the Bissell but that didn’t bother me. Suction is about equal on both, but I appreciated that the DD came with an attachment that wasn’t a brush (silicone spikes) because the brush is hard to clean and not ideal for certain stains. Also it was impossible to remove the attachments on the Bissell, but it was easy with the DD.
The Bissell cleaning head and tank had so many angles on the inside that pet hair would build up but couldn’t be cleaned out. The DD cleans easily and the hose cleaner is amazing.
I never had any issues mentioned in the other reviews like leaking. The only thing that might be an inconvenience is the small tank size, but like I mentioned, that was no problem for me.

 This carpet cleaner is lightweight, very easy to use, and works exceptionally well. My dog recently fell ill and had a few accidents in the house, and I have white carpet, which made the situation even more challenging. Instead of renting a machine, I decided to purchase this cleaner, and it definitely got the job done. It handled the stains effectively and made my carpet look as good as new. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an affordable, reliable cleaning solution.

This little tool works great. I’ve used it on the sofa cushions and a few spots on the carpet. Next I plan to shampoo my car upholstery. It has good output and suction. The tanks are plenty big for everything I need to do.

The picture is what I’m working with. I’ve a chihuahua that refuses to let us know when she needs out. We live in an area where wildlife is a concern or we’d have a doggy door. We have a rug doctor but it’s big, bulky and because of my back, it’s hard to use AND it doesn’t work very well. This one makes cleaning up spots easy. The one spot in the rug is where I think the tank leaked the first time I used it and the solution sat for a couple of minutes. This was junk carpet when we pit it down as this is just a temp home until ours is built. But I will say for the price I paid, this machine is worth every penny. I can also use it for my car it’s so versatile. There’s only the one nozzle so it’s not complicated. My only wish is that the hose was longer and the power cord was longer. I have a bad back so I really like that it’s light enough not to hurt me.
UPDATE: I finished cleaning the area. Other than the fact that I have to get on my hands and knee’s to use the machine, it’s so much better than our expensive Rug Doctor. Well worth the money.
