it’s a good commercial vacuum. I own commercial cleaning business. this is a sturdy vacuum with stainless steel covers. Has a long cord that will disconnect if needed be from the top of plug. Has a cover to connect the plug and cord. The only thing I do not like is the cord. its is heavy duty; however it seems to knot up easily. By this I means it gets twisted up fairly easily . Not sure why. Its seems like a good long cord just tangles up too easily. other than this it’s a good vaccum for commercial cleaning.

I have a dog who has serious shedding problems. I have destroyed 2 Dyson animal vacuums in 5 years. This is a much more reasonable price and the quality is just as good if not better.

We have six commercial Sanitaire vacuums. Our business employs a lot of kids (16-20ish) and they are hard on them. We’ve had to replace a lot of cords because they run over them, but the vacuums hold up really well for the most part. In six years we’ve only replaced a couple of motors and a few switches and a broken handle. I think it’s typical since we have a couple of other higher end vacuums that get the same kind of use and we see the same kind of repair issues. If anything does go wrong, parts are easy to get for these Sanitaires, and fairly simple to replace. One mistake I made with this order of two vacuums is that I actually wanted another model. It was my mistake when I made the order, but I wanted the one that is wider in the front. Don’t think that because it’s called a Sanitaire Commercial Upright that they are all exactly the same. Check the model number. If you want a wider brush area then the model is the SC899. I’m going to keep these because they’re already assembled. These will actually be good for vacuuming in tighter areas, but won’t get large areas done as fast. It’s pretty much the same vacuum other than that so I would order according to your needs and the area you need to vacuum.

Bought this for our construction office thinking it would handle the dirt. After three months the vacuum spewed dust to the point it was not safe for the office. I called the repair line and referred me to a authorized repair place. The repair place completely overhauled the vac then charged us $70 to replace the belt that I had replaced before I took it there. Overall the performance of this vac is not better than a $90 plastic one. I do not recommend as it is not a good value because it does not last longer than the cheap ones.

It is heavy, it also has no paper bags, but that’s how it was constructed

Very powerful vacuum cleaner. Hefty and solid build. Looks great. Adjustable head manually for different grades of carpet. This vacuum does not use bags, don’t buy them. Replacement parts are cheap and the vacuum is easy to maintain with simple tools.
