We bought it thinking it would be a nice little extra to our big vacuum. Well turns out that this is waaaaay better than our expensive (Samsung) vacuum. My Husband was convinced that his vacuum was the best but only after using this Black+Decker vacuum he realized that the carpet didn’t have a pattern but rather was dirty. Not only does this thing have great suction it also runs forever. It was quite funny to see how he slowly had to admit that his beloved Samsung vacuum isn’t as good as he thinks. So yeah I totally recommend it.

I have had my share of Dustbusters…needed one for the laundry room to pick up the lint fluffs and hair that tend to collect on the floor, nothing heavy duty required. Its fine, feels a little cheap. I do miss the charging light, but its fine. You do have to press the button to keep it working, rather than switch on and turn off when you’re done…could be problematic for those with arthritis, but its not tough to hold like a Dyson. Decent value.

It works well. Attaches to the base for charging. It isn’t super loud. You do have to hold the button down to keep on, which can be annoying. It does well sucking up hair, but isn’t super powerful. For the price, it’s works fine.

This is a good, occasional-use, budget handheld vacuum cleaner.
If you need something for more intensive cleaning (for whatever reasons), you’re probably better off looking elsewhere. The suction power isn’t great. I personally purchased it for cat fur removal, and if the cat fur is really stuck on furniture, it takes many comb-overs in order to get like 80% of the fur removed. The remaining 20% kind of just sits there, and I will have to debate with myself how long I want to spend vacuuming for the night. Still, that’s not really a big deal for me, because as long as I do some prep work ahead of time, the vacuum process isn’t that a big pain.
The issue comes from its battery life. The vacuum runs out of power after about half an hour or so of vacuuming. It’s not the worst, but it’s also not great because the battery life ends up dictating to me how long I can try to vacuum cat fur from furniture at a time.
I imagine this might not be a big deal to people who already have vacuums and just want to use this to spot clean. I think it will work great for that.
Unfortunately for me, it’s not the most ideal — but I am making it work because it’s so budget-friendly in retrospect.

I love the size and the power is so strong I have had Black and Decker vacuums for many many years. My last one had to be at least 10 yrs old, got the where the Charge would not charge it up after all those years. What great vacuums they have served me well. This one has a washable Filter that is a plus also. The only thing is that the attachments do not have a place to be stored on the Unit. But they are stored very close, so it is not a problem for me. Can’t go wrong for the quality, and the price !! I really am looking forward to using it for years to come.
