I love this Dust Buster ordered it as the 12 volt model which I already have seems to be no longer available.
The only problem when it arrived was that it came with a USA/Canada two prong charger base and not the three pin which we use here in the UK, so I had to purchase the adapter suitable for USA/Canada appliances.

I ordered one for upstairs for picking up clumps of dog hair during shedding season. It is a twice a day job and I don’t want to bring out a 35′ vacuum hose just for a few clumps of hair.
This is strong enough to do a good job. I find myself using it to vacuum the sofa where my hubby snacks while watching TV.
When the stink bugs hatch out, we use it to suck them up. The long nozzle makes it easy to reach the ceiling. They can potentially crawl back out but a folded paper towel in the nozzle prevents their escape.
I just ordered a second one for downstairs so I don’t have to go up and down those stairs anymore than I have to.
It is easy to empty the bin, I have rinsed the filter and let it dry and that is extending the life of the filter. I shortened the wand and used the brush attachment only once but it did a good job.
I definitely recommend this great little vacuum.

10-11-2024 I bought this in 2021 and still use it all the time. The only thing I noticed is that battery used to last an hour with continuous use and now it’s about 30 minutes. It doesn’t bother me much because the well gets full by 30 minutes anyway ( my house is very dusty) and I absolutely love using this guy to grab the dust bunnies that float over to the corners. This is also, indispensable for use when cleaning out small tight spaces like drawers. I’d say this was the best $60 bucks I ever spent on a vacuum cleaner.

HUGE VALUE for the money — I purchased mine about 4 years ago to clean my car and for quick little pick-ups after my children. I love how easy and convenient it is, and my kids use it to clean up after themselves too.
The battery is still working, though it now takes forever to charge. At this point it’s literally falling apart when I use it and comes apart. The power also isn’t all that great anymore and doesn’t clean my car well due to not being able to really suction.
But listen… this is after FOUR YEARS. I am more than happy with this and purchasing another now as a replacement!

On a charge a long time. Good suction, like the attached brush that you can pull out. Like that it plugs into a wall socket to charge . Had a different brand before that charged up like a phone. When I was ready to charge it, I couldn’t find the right charging cord and no other cord I had would fit it.

I am extremely happy with this product! Instead of getting the vac or broom and dustpan, this is my go-to quick, portable cleaning tool! It works extremely well in crevices, narrow areas, cars, sliding door tracks, etc. I had this years ago and would vac up the crumbs off of my babies and their floor spills. However, Dustbuster has come a long way with great improvements!

Nothing is perfect, sometimes it’s a little difficult to get to balance on the charger. Keep it emptied, wash and thoroughly dry the filter every few uses and you can’t beat it! Great value for the price! Not a fragile little several hundred dollar modern looking vac but looks good and does an excellent job cleaning up the mess, pet hair and dirt everyday! Keep it charged -grab and go, the brush is built on folds down but always there when you need it! I love it! It’s lightweight, easy to use and a go-to everyday to get cleaning done in a hurry!

MAIN THING TO NOTE! This model is the medium grade handheld vac. B&D offers a more heavy duty model for slightly more money if you plan on using the crap out of this thing for very dirting jobs/work areas. Might consider the beefier model if so. If you just need a light duty vac for around the house this should be all you need
Onto the review!
This is working great so far but tests show the battery life is short only averaging 10-15min of use(so 4 stars). Hasn’t been a prob for me because I have a vac for big jobs and only use this to spot vac dirty areas of my house and car. This thing is very light and easy to use in awkward spaces with the built in extension tip so there’s no attachments to lose it’s all built in to the nose! I’ve only had it for a little while and I use it all the time! I had a cheap no name brand of one of these that I liked and it was time for an upgrade so I chose this and it’s been doing work. It’s easy enough to clean and the filters are washable and I was able to wash the whole thing in about 10ish min with soap and hot water. Only thing I would warn is DON’T shake the vac when its full of dust and grime. It can cause dust to fall out of the nose. Avoid that and your good.
Pro tip: I did make a small modification to the filter to help extend the life of the unit. I noticed very very fine dust particles were getting past the cloth filter SO I took a old beat up pillow case and cut a corner off. To help with airflow and suction I cut the tip off the pillow case corner and then I put it around the motor part that sticks out right after the included cloth filter. After that there was no fine dust building up past the filters and there was no difference in performance when using it. Should help extend the life of the motor and super simple to do.
