My disappointment in this vacuum is large. I don’t need much, and I will do my best to make things that are not perfect work for me. Unfortunately, I waited too long past the return date. I had it for 2-3 months before I gave up and contacted Bissell. The strongest of my dislike is that the suction power is inadequate on any setting but Turbo. This gives me roughly 12-13 minutes of use followed by 4 hours of recharge time. It does not work on carpet (and looking back on the ads, I see that it does not mention carpet; silly me, expecting a vacuum to work on carpet). I have to use the upholstery tool on the carpet. The main floor attachment falls off too easily, which takes two hands and isn’t easy to reattach, although I’ve gotten better with time. If I’d had very low expectations, I would have been happy with this vacuum. I never hate anything! I have accommodated for items that do not always meet my expectations, but this thing just disappoints me.
Update: I took my little Bissell stick vacuum to an authorized Bissell dealer who is expecting the parts to repair it today. He told me that stick vacuums are not meant to be used on carpet. They just aren’t! So, as much as I didn’t want to, I purchased an upright, corded Bissell vacuum that sucks like a demon. I only have 1 room and a little hallway that are carpeted. The first time I used it, I had to empty it 3 times before I was finished. There’s nothing so bad that good can’t come from it. I will still use my little stick vacuum, once it is repaired, for hardwood floors and little clean-ups, which is what how it is intended to be used.
Update #2: My little vacuum has a brand-new replacement foot attachment, and it works like a charm.

Oh Bissel, you’ve made better tools in the past. My last pet vac from you gave me 10 very good years – then I couldn’t find another, you “upgraded” – which usually means better performance. Nope.
Pros:
Easy to switch accessories. The storage rack is handy. Gets little messes. I’ve never exhausted the battery power. It negotiates tight spots and corners. And flattens to get under furniture with space enough to clear the bump on top of the head. The tone of the motor changes when it clogs -so I know when to unclog. The crevice tool is great, there’s an option to use the brush that is attached instead of one more accessory to lose. The little vac attachment is good for stairs.
Cons:
The battery seems to have longevity, but it gets a little sluggish after 7 minutes or so.
It gets clogged – a lot. Don’t try to suck up big messes of little things or big items.
Our dog has longish hair and it clogs it up. Whatever you suck up has to clear a very tight spot between the stick and the cup. Like I said before, the pitch of its motor whine changes when it clogs, so I know to stop so it doesn’t strain the motor.
On the plus side, it’s easy to unclog. Easy to empty.
It’s a fine alternative to sweeping, my kids will use it – saving me one chore. I wish it would do edges better. If I’m doing more than simple clean up, I have to sweep edges before I use it – and if I’m already sweeping, what’s the point of changing tools. If I go to suck up the swept pile, I have to fish out larger debris and go slow so it doesn’t clog.
You must use the attachments if you want to go into hand tool mode. Otherwise it sticks to whatever surface you’re cleaning. The old pet vac was wedge shaped – kinda pointy at the business end.
I do like this machine, I wish it handled larger jobs. It’s not a Kirby…
What sets it apart from other lightweight vacuums is the beater brush – which allows me to do carpets and hard floors. But… The beater on hard floors sometimes kicks stuff around instead of sucking it up. It’s pretty underwhelming on hard floors actually. The beater on carpets skips when you pull back – it only likes to go forward.
There’s a crevice that traps stuff and I have to manually clear it.
I wish the roller had Velcro or silicone brush sections like the last pet vac.
Too late to return.

Good overall to do minor to mid cleanup, convenient to have. Battery last quite a while.

I was so excited to get this vacuum and I was immediately disappointed unfortunately. We have 2 dogs and this vacuum gets full so so quick so you have to constantly empty the tank. The suction is also very very poor, I find I have to go over spots repeatedly on carpet and for some reason it often just drags the dog hair back behind the vacuum and doesn’t suck it up at all. So I’ll end up with straight lines of hair behind where I just vacuumed. The battery life is super short too when on high suction. 30 minutes max. And the light suction that they recommend for hard wood isn’t strong enough for hard wood so I have to use the higher setting and can never finish vacuuming the whole space.
Sad I don’t love it.

This is a well build stick vacuum. Good run time. Easy operation. Definitely picks up the dirt. Easy to change attachments. Easy to clean the filter and empty the canister. Only downside I’ve heard about it it the canister, you have to be careful with when you take it off and put it on. Can crack if you aren’t careful doing it.

I like some things about this vacuum. I like that it is portable no cord, it has a light showing you the stuff on the floor, easy to empty and clean. Now the things I am not happy with are the weight of it, its cumbersome, it doesn’t pick up all the pet hair off the rug, it has a real mickey mouse way of putting the battery onto the charger (not easy to do if you have the charger mounted).I would not buy it again. I must say tho customer service is great.

Bought this a few weeks ago after we had purchased a Hoover cordless at the beginning of the year. And return the piece of crap! This is a little heavier to carry up and down stairs but it’s worth it for the suction. The battery only lasts about 1/2 hr but at least it picks up and doesn’t shoot everything out when I pick it up to move it. And we also love the light on the bottom for darker days. So far we are pretty pleased with it.

If you have pets or kids or a husband you need this!! I got it on sale on Amazon for 200 and some change and it was totally worth it. I use it around my cat litter box, the hamster cage, and in bathrooms where my hair and my husband’s beard clippings dwell. This sucks everything right up! Now listen; this vacuum I wouldn’t recommend as a daily whole house vacuum. The battery doesn’t last long enough for that, and the suction isn’t enough for a deep carpet clean. This bad boy is PERFECT for small quick messes like around cat boxes and bathrooms or in a dryer’s lint trap. It is also exceptional at getting up fine beach sand as we bring that in daily. I use it every morning for quick touch up cleans and it’s perfect for that. It would be spectacular in a camper/RV as well! All of the attachments store nicely together in a very secure and easy to mount wall piece. I also use it to vacuum my daughters fluffy rug in her room since my Dyson is too powerful for that and tries to eat it. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone wanting quick jobs or pet messes, not so much whole house cleanliness as I said before. I bought it in 2020 approximately one year ago and haven’t had any issues thus far.
