Purchased this sweeper for my mother. She says that it works great and is happy with the purchase. Shipping was super fast and the cost of it was a great deal!!

The Bissell Commercial BG22 Manual Sweeper is a well-built, well-packaged, light but durable floor sweeper. While smaller than the Bissell sweeper my mom had 50 years ago, it is more than large enough to handle light duty on hard floors and carpets. In fact, after using it for a while, I think it’s a perfect size. Easy to store, easy to carry, and easy to use. It’s a great product at a very good price.

Purchased this to use in a restaurant dining room on low pile carpet and tile flooring. It works great, like amazingly great, on all floors. It picks up dirt and debris, tracked in sidewalk salt, leaves, crumbs, straw wrappers, small pieces of paper, small pieces of food, crayons, the list goes on. The thing I like most is, unlike most manual sweepers, it has an all rubber roller instead of a bristle roller, so it’s easy to clean hair lint and strings from the roller. The rubberized roller also helps keep it free moving and from getting bound up by hair and strings. It can also be fully sprayed out with soap and water to clean and sanitize. I’ve used a lot of versions of manual sweepers and this one, by far, is the best. I ordered more after receiving it and testing it out on trashed Friday night dinning room floors.

A great tool for quick pick ups. Our elderly mother with dementia struggles with the traditional vacuum cleaner, and is obsessive about clean floors. This is light weight, no cords to trip on, no buttons to press. She can just simply push it over the surface and get the job done anytime she desires. While this is not intended for deep cleaning, it does a great job between deep cleans.

This sweeper is not a good hand sweeper. It picks up absolutely nothing. Leaves a trail of dirt behind. Was so hoping to get a hand sweeper that could be used quickly for minimum and small pick-ups without dragging out the vacuum sweeper. Fast pick-ups are essential in any home, but this sweeper is not the one to fill that need. It is quickly being returned with a personal admonition (from me to me) to avoid a Bissell purchase of anything, sadly. I do wish that good, working, worthwhile products were more available these days, and I sure do not mind paying for a good working sweeper. Check where it was made and that tells me the whole story. I will continue my search for a good hand sweeper for quick jobs and I really hope to find what I need. This Bissell sure is not what I need. Another replacement Bissell is not a good choice. Bissell used to be a highly recommended product, but it appears that times have changed, and this product certainly cannot be recommended.

I bought this product to clean up cat hair, litter and fern leaves. I am chasing the leaves and litter all over the floor. It picks up hair on the area rugs but again, chasing it on the bare floors. I have to think the plastic flanges are a poor substitute for bristles. When I attempt to sweep under the couch there is a scraping sound. I have to tighten the handle often.
Better than nothing but a disappointment coming from Bissell.

I had one of these years ago and this one is much smaller (granted I did not read measurements so that is on me) than I was expecting. The handle you have to screw together and it feels wobbly. I worry over time if it will actually hold up and not break. I am happy with it so far and for cleaning up quick messes. Much better than pulling out the vacuum cleaner.

Seeing that the words Bissell COMMERCIAL, was very disappointed. I purchased it for my store with lots of traffic. It cleans top, but not deep. I have to use a broom to finish the rugs. Also the handle come apart and have to tighten the handle all the time. I had to have a man tighten and it still comes apart. Very frustrating. Its not for commercial.
