   I’m not someone who usually likes to write about anything and therfore writing a review is not my top list of priorities
   However I felt I had to take a few minutes to share my experience with the Bissell 2998 Vacuum

   I absolutely love this vacuum. I’m a long time loyal fan and customer of Bissell
   This new vacuum that I recently purchased with Amazon is amazing. First a huge thank you to Amazon for making the purchase affordable for customers with their payment plan

   This vacuum has above all superior suction power. It is not as noisy as my previous vacuums. It maneuvers quite well. Numerous options for the maneuvering.
   It’s pretty much a lightweight vacuum.
   What I want to point out is that there’s LED Lights built in the vacuum at the front
   I have a degenerative eye condition and I have to say this feature is very important for me and I am very happy with Bissell for having this feature
   I am totally satisfied with my purchase

   I had a very nice older model Shark, it was fancy looking, swiveled, and picked up debris and hair excellently.

   The issue I had with the shark was emptying the dirt, the capsule wasn’t very easy to get off, and it was a pain cleaning out. I had to dig stuff out and removing the filters was inconvenient you had to reach up into the filthy capsule to remove the filters.

   That vacuum burned up recently, so I began searching through reviews and comparing prices etc. this one had a 28% off sale, and despite that it still was a bit high, I didn’t want to spend a small fortune on a vacuum cleaner but I didn’t want a piece of junk, either. I decided to give it a shot after I seen the flexibility it offered as a cleaner.

   This vacuum cleaner Multiclean Bissell turns on/off the brushes so it can clean hard surfaces (turn off brushes) and then when on carpet turn the brushes on to get a deeper clean. It definitely makes a huge difference on the carpet. Amazingly the crevice tool works splendidly. The vacuum puts all of its power into the tool when it is in use, and it will take up stubborn old hair and dust that might be trapped in the corners of a carpeted room. It works!

   Once done, the dirt and hair falls out effortlessly into the trash can. I never had to remove anything for all of the debris to fall out.

   Everything the Multiclean picks up, stays inside the vacuum cleaner… nothing escapes it. No dust, nothing. It really does filter the dust and keep everything inside that it picks up.

   The Multiclean vacuum worked flawlessly for the things I needed it for! I did not need to remove the body and carry it around, the crevice tool hose was able to stretch to reach everything I needed to pick up so I have not tested that feature yet.

   It is not a lightweight vacuum cleaner, so I imagine some people will find that a flaw, but for me it is not a big deal. If I had to rate this with more expensive vacuum cleaners, I’d say this thing is just as good as the $300-$350 dollar vacuum cleaners. It’s easily worth $175-$200 in my mind.

   I felt compelled to write a review, because the Multiclean Bissell vacuum cleaner was actually fun to use, because it worked perfectly. I can’t imagine one being better, that’s how good it is to me.

   I am coming from years of Hoover Whirlwind Bagless and an Electrolux Bagged upright. My bar was low seeing how everything is plastic. Below are my opinions after 3 uses.

   Ease of putting together – never had anything easier
   Size – good
   Weight – surprising weighty for materials. Too heavy is personal to you and your strength.
   Ease of use – you will know you are pushing it. It is NOT self propelled. It does take a little effort.
   Swivel feature – new to me. Took a bit to get used to but very functional and helpful for corners I used to have to lift and pivot around.
   Lights – not necessary but frightening what they do allow you to see.
   Crevice/brush attachment – convenient they together (can be separated) more than I thought they would be. But the brush bristles will not be around for a lot of serious use. I kept all the attachments from my old sweepers for back ups.
   Pet brush attachment – I don’t see where I’ll be using this item.
   Emptying – easy but I notice some dirt powder below the canister when I remove it. So for all the filtration it would seem the release lid does not seal dirt in completely.

   Ease of separating the wand from the unit – easy with a solid click when put back
   Ease of lifting unit off for stairs etc – easy

   Additional thoughts:
   Cord – shorter than I have had in the past. I have to move it more. Also the cord comes from the bottom of the canister so you will run over it unless you grab it and hold it up by the handle.

   Rug results, I have Old Rugs which vary in height from Medium to Low (indoor/outdoor). They have been maintained – To test i ran the sweeper 3 days in a row (ON HIGH rug). Each day there is something in the canister?? So I wonder is it really pulling dirt from the floor below OR is it eating my rug fibers. I don’t know how to figure this without doing it everyday for a while to see if it stops??
   Bare floor – Oddly did not clean as well as i hoped.

   Tip/recommendation: The store model “emptying lid” on the canister was already broken. It’s 2 plastic tips going into 2 holes. If you break either one your canister is worthless. I suggest when emptying you place a finger over the lid to keep it from flying open. Small thing to do.

   Additional thought: Do you need all the filtration: That’s (3) filters to maintain/replace. Top foam one requires 24 hr to dry once you wash it. The middle one with the fins is just washable. Then there is the bottom (HEPA?) filter that will be replaced at some point.
   Question: How do you know when to replace the bottom filter.

   First off, this vacuum is probably one of the best vacuums I’ve owned in the sense that it does a great job picking up. We have 2 German Shepherds and when they shed, they SHED and this vacuum makes very short work of all the fur that’s left behind.

   The reason I do NOT recommend it: The unfortunate part and the reason I’m returning it is after only a week and a half of using it I’ve had to untangle it twice, the first time was with the pet tool and the second was with the main beater bar assembly which was so bad that it stopped, began smelling and when I disassembled it to remove the tangle I found that part of the beater bar assembly had melted.

   The vacuum itself is great, does a great job but there is a design flaw and hopefully Bissell can get this rectified because it definitely has potential of being fantastic!

   Quite impressive. I have 3 different vacuums ( one for each floor) which were quite expensive. This is my preference and works the best. I didn’t think the light would matter and by golly. It hits the places I missed by my previous vacuum and I thought I was being thorough.
