I’ve had this unit for about 2 weeks now and use it daily. I bought this mainly to suck up litter off the throw carpets around my 2 cat’s litter boxes and for small jobs or a quick vacuum in small areas that doesn’t require dragging out the corded vacuum . The suction, even on the lower of two settings, is plenty strong enough for those chores and easily sucks kitty litter off the throw rugs around those boxes. No, the suction isn’t as great as on the corded upright one we have but I didn’t expect it to be. Again, it is more than sufficient at doing the jobs I bought it for. The attachments, a roller brush with a light, a crevice tool and a dust remover type brush, along with an extension tube for extra reach with any of the tools allows easy attachment for all of those. A real plus is if you own DeWalt 20 V tools and is another reason I bought this. I have several of their battery operated hand tools and so I have several batteries. If you don’t have one, you’ll have to buy a battery and a charger. There are after market batteries at 1/2 the price of OEM, which I have a couple of those too and I can’t tell any difference between those and the DeWalt ones.
The unit is pretty light weight even with the 6 AH battery on it. I haven’t really timed this but I’d guess that battery will run the unit 15 or 20 minutes on a charge. That’s based on using it 1 to 3 minutes a day (mostly quick vacuum of kitty litter) and having to change out the battery at 1 bar showing on the battery LCD, after about 10 days. Like others have said, the light on the roller attachment, while adequate, could stand being a little brighter and wider but it’s good enough for my needs. Given the price, I think this a good buy.
Edited to add: I’ve asked and been asked where to get replacement filters. I don’t need one at the moment but, even though you can clean the ones that came with it, at some point I’ll probably will at some I probably will. I hope the manufacturer sees this and provides an answer.

Yes it works with the batteries, but is it up to DeWalt standards? No. Bought it as a small shop/car vacuum. Not shop worthy. I should have just bought another of the Black & Decker 20V handheld that I use for cat litter clean up. Now I have a clunky vacuum that doesn’t pick up very well.

Worked fine until it didn’t- supposed to come apart in several places and in one of those places, it won’t stay together any longer – continually breaks apart and falls on floor while holding handle.
For less thsn a year of use, not worth the $100 plus price tag.

I was surprised by this offbrand DeWalt vacuum
It turned out being perfect for my RV
Does a great job of cleaning up a light sand and debris from my pups
I’d recommend for light duty

This was a waste of money, there is no suction and the little that it does suck up falls out when you shut it off . Very disappointed!!!

I was happy to find a stick vac that works with my Dewalt batteries but had several things I disliked about this product. The dust collection bin is too small. The width of the brush is also too small. The bristles on the brush are too soft. The LED lights are too weak and do not do a good job of illuminating the work area. Also the unit seem to be very cheaply made. You get what you pay for $129.00 but considering it doesn’t include a battery and charger, then it’s more as if you were paying for a $200.00 unit. At this price point however, I would expect better quality.

It looks good and is bright yellow like Dewalt tools. It stops there.
The vacuum suction is very weak. You need to go over little bits of saw dust on a bench several times. Very frustrating. Same for the floor vacuum attachment – many passes just to pick up lint and fuzz balls.
Unfortunately, I threw away the packaging. Darn. Fool me once.
I decided the battery operation is not critical, so I bought the mini Shop Vac, 1.5 gal/2 HP (i have a tight space). Very powerful and compact. It picks up everything in one pass and has a small footprint.

I’ve got a couple of DeWalt 20v 3Ah (Amp-hours) battery packs, so when I saw this on Prime Day (fall of 2023), I got curious and got this on impulse. Overall, I’m pretty happy with this vacuum, but I feel there’s some nuances to consider.
As many other reviewers have discussed, this vacuum has a small collection chamber. For me, it’s not a problem; I just use this to vacuum a couple of bedrooms and this vacuum’s collection chamber is adequate to hold the matter that this vacuum pulls from the carpet.
Since I use this vacuum for carpet cleaning, I use this vacuum almost exclusively with it’s floor scrubber attachment. This vacuum performs decently with that attachment; It won’t perform at the same level as a new, corded vacuum. So, if you want a floor to be well cleaned, you’re going to have to make multiple passes. Suction seems pretty good with the other attachments that come with this vacuum, and I really like that the flat nozzle has retractable brush bristles.
Popping apart the sections of this vacuum is fairly easy; the buttons are stiff though. My mother, who has arthritis in her hands, needs me or my Dad to dismantle this vacuum. The collection chamber is a bit tricky to empty since the filter in the center takes up a large area of the chamber; I’ve had to reach up and scoop matter out of the chamber a couple of times due to said matter lodging between the chamber inner wall and filter.
Here’s the nuance I want to cover that I haven’t seen other reviewers discuss in detail: Battery life.
As summarized in my review title, I’ve found that this vacuum’s motor is thirsty for a lot of electrical current. One of my 3 Ah battery packs, which can each run my little DeWalt shop vac and DeWalt spot light for hours without issue, can last for one small bedroom and part of a second bedroom before being drained.
So, consider the current capacity of the battery(ies) you have or will get. A 2 Ah battery will probably last you a small bedroom (about 10 minutes of vacuuming) and nothing more. I’ve got an aftermarket battery that’s a copy of a DeWalt FlexVolt battery pack (it can run at different voltages). Since this vacuum runs at 20 volts, my aftermarket battery pack has a whopping current capacity of 9.3 Ah.
I’ve vacuumed three bedrooms with this vacuum and that battery pack, and it still had some charge left in it, probably enough to vacuum a fourth bedroom.
Now, having warned you to consider the current capacity of your battery(ies), I want to also warn you to consider weight. Between me and my father, we have a little collection of DeWalt 20v batteries.
My mother, who finds this vacuum’s weight agreeable, finds it heavy with one of my 3 Ah batteries fitted to it. My father finds this vacuum’s weight manageable with one of my 3 Ah batteries, or one of his 4 Ah batteries fitted to it. He finds this vacuum too heavy to use comfortably with my huge brick of a 9.3 Ah battery. My mother flat out refuses to touch this vacuum if I have my 9.3 Ah battery fitted to it.
So, in summary, do a bit of homework before you pull the trigger on this vacuum. If you need to vacuum multiple rooms, you might be better off just getting a corded unit, especially if you have no battery packs (this vacuum does NOT come with one). If you have a variety of battery packs and again need to vacuum several rooms or a large area like a shop, consider weight. A large battery is needed to fuel this vacuum for extended durations but the large battery is going to add a lot of weight.
But, if you just need to clean a room or spot clean areas of a shop and have battery packs, this vacuum is worth considering. For my need of quickly vacuuming the floor of a bedroom on occasion, this along with one of my 3 Ah packs fits the bill nicely. Popping in my 9.3 Ah battery will let me vacuum several rooms with an ease that can’t be had with a corded vacuum. If your needs are similar, this vacuum will work for you.
