This vacuum is so much lighter than my prior Bissell and picks up dirt, hair, etc., like crazy! Also love the swivel head and the ease of manipulating it around the room. The cord is long enough and the foot pedal on/off is easier than the switch on my old machine. The only criticism (but not enough to leave less than 5 stars) is the onboard tools sometimes fall off when releasing the extension wand. I switched the placement of the 2 tools (with each other) which improved somewhat. Great vacuum; don’t hesitate to purchase it.

I started to notice my old faithful vacuum wasn’t picking up the cat hair, among other fuzzies on the floor and it was time to ditch the old $400.00 vacuum and invest in another. I also wanted to get away from buying those ridiculous vacuum bags. If you keep the vacuum too long, they discontinue the brand name bags and then you go to the generic bags and they never fit right, what a waste of more $$$. I looked around weeks before I finally bought this Bissell. I LOVE it. My first sweep partway thru the house, I had to empty the cannister 3 times, it was picking up that much stuff. I always thought I kept a pretty clean house until I used this Bissell, I couldn’t believe the amount of stuff it picked up! It’s easy for me to push, not too heavy or awkward. It even fluffed up my carpet!!!! I love everything about it…… the only thing I would change would be to have a button on the handle to turn the power on / off, rather than at the base and need to use your foot. It still isn’t a big deal, that’s just the way my old one was, I just need to get used to this one, it’s not a deal breaker for me, still love the ease of this vacuum. I am very pleased with the performance and NO MORE BAGS!!!!

Got this because my father’s hand-me-down HOOVER total home and pet vacuum finally crapped out after like 10 years. Needed something not quite as expensive as that and wanted a retractable cord. It does a great job sucking up all the dust and fur I was shocked to see everything the Hoover had missed from becoming weak. Almost filled the canister up in my one round. It’s also lighter than the Hoover was for sure, still not insanely light but definitely easier. The cord length is decent, however, I’m not a fan of where the cord comes out. It’s by the ground and is hard to hold up to avoid tripping on it or running it over, I’m sure I can loop it through the handle next time while I use it or something, it’s just slightly annoying as I did trip myself. Overall, it’s a good value, hopefully it lasts at least a few years. I do not have stairs or anything to use the attachments on so I can’t really speak for those as I have other methods for cleaning I prefer over a vacuum. I will say the “brush” attachment is only plastic blades with no bristles? I’m not sure how that’s supposed to work. But if you’re just looking for a good dust and hair remover for carpet and hardwood I’d highly recommend this for the price point!

If you’re looking for a vacuum that definitely sucks, look no further! I had a small shark vacuum that just could never fully clean our carpets, it would always fill up with dust/pet hair and the carpet would still never look/feel fully clean. This vacuum is definitely a work-horse, does a phenomenal job at cleaning. My carpet finally looks “fluffy” and I can literally smell a difference in my apartment! For the price, it’s an amazing vacuum with quality comparable to a high end Dyson. The attachments work great, the cord winds itself up at a touch of a button and easily gets to hard to reach areas under furniture. The engineers at Bissell did an amazing job at creating a quality vacuum at a very affordable price. If you have any pets or little ones, this will do a phenomenal job at keeping your home clean. 100% worth every penny!

I couldn’t believe what this vacuum picked up after 1 pass on a rug that gets cleaned every week. My other vacuum is rated in the top 5 in Consumer Reports, it’s the Amazons pick, and cost 100.00 more. My housekeeper kept saying “buy a Bissell upright. I finally gave in and boy was she right!!!

So I’ve only had this vacuum for a few days but already I’m in love. It came very quickly, well packaged and took maybe 3 minutes to put together. The suction is phenomenal! Lots of power in this vacuum. The detachable wand is a great feature and it easily sucks up debris around edges or cobwebs in corners. The vacuum transitions seamlessly from carpet to hardwood and rolls right over rugs with ease. It’s easy to dispose of dust and dirt when it’s full and the retractable cord makes putting it away convenient. It’s not what I’d consider a light vacuum but not heavy either, not strenuous to haul upstairs or from room to room. If you want an affordable, easily maneuverable vacuum with great suction I highly suggest it.

This is one of the best vacuum. It really picks up dirt that you thought really wasn’t there. I love it best vacuum for price. It was also easy to put together. Don’t have to be a technician to put this together a 3yr old could have put it together.

OMG! Does a great job of cleaning but I had a rug that is from Turkey that I have had for a long time and I swept it with this vacuum and I cannot believe all the crap it sucked up. Tons of sand Etc that was about a quarter inch deep. Embarrassing. Love this vacuum.
