I’m usually a person to return things if I receive them partially damaged but the metal had a fairly large scratch when I opened the box. It’s not worth returning given the sheer size of this thing.
The set up was about 45 minutes and overall doable with 1 person. The bolts they give you are fine but I did have one set break while riding, you just need to be cautious of that in the future.
As for cleaning the yard it does a great job, don’t over weigh the machine with clippings or leaves as it will start dragging which adds stress to your mower

We purchased this to pull behind our ZTR it works as stated. We had a few assembly issues but we were able to figure it out. Most of assembly was done by myself except for a few areas i needed my husbands help as it was a 2 person job. Otherwise no issues with that aspect.
We had issue with tear in leaf collection bag but the company when i contacted them by email responded within 24 hours and shipped out new collection bag at no charge.
Overall please with operation of leaf sweeper

The unit is very sturdy and quality construction. The tubes all fit great and were accurate to the design. Warning – the brushes and wheels were installed at the factory, but the brush hardware was in No Way tightened. The clamps holding the brush were all loose by at least 4 turns. Make sure you check and tighten all bolts. It is installed not torqued or tightened. Damage will result as another review pointed out if you don’t tighten those bolts. BTW, thanks to that review I double checked everything.

Outstanding lawn sweeper!

The installation instructions are OK. I assembled the sweeper in one and a half hours.
The nuts and bolts are poor quality. One of the nuts started to go on sideways and destroyed itself and the bolt. I had to replace it. The other lock nuts came loose after half an hour and I installed spring washers on all nuts.
This sweeper is strong and solid and good value.

I love the material. I saw a review or someone said this bolts and nuts were crap. I don’t agree. I think the nuts and bolts were just fine. The instructions were incredibly easy to understand. Everything was there. It was packaged nicely. It doesn’t weigh too much and it only took an hour and a half to two hours to assemble it. I think it is fantastic. I need to say that I bought a sweeper from a foreign company and it was nothing like this Ohio steel sweeper I see craftsman has one and there was another American company that had one too for twice the money so for your two $279 this is a Steal. I should also say The one that I purchased from the foreign company, they warned you about pulling too hard on any of the pieces because they might bend that’s not a problem with this one because it’s made well. And it’s made in the USA support American companies

Heavy duty tubing. Heavy duty plastic bottom. IF YOU read the directions, and look at the pictures youcanput it together without much effort in 1 hour. Their are about 10 numbered steps, starting with1. Each numbered step has a separate numbered pouch of fasteners. You can’t go wrong. Use a 14 mm socket and a 14 mm wrench—all the tools you will need. I am 74, and it took me 3 hours because I am a disabled Viet NamVet. A healthy 40 yo will have no problem. It is very well made and will last for years IF YOU READ the how to use instructions.

Not too difficult to assemble and works better than expected.
Appears to be robust enough. Easy to use.

This works well to pick up clipping and leaves from my yard. You have to figure out what height of the tongue to use on you hitch/bumper and use the same height every time (you have 3 levels to choose from).. Then, set the bottom of the basket to clear the ground by 2-3 inches. If it’s too low the basket will kick up on high spots and will bounce across your yard. Make sure to secure the rope to your mower before you use it, otherwise the rope fall off your mower and end up wrapped around the bristles before you realize, and it’s hard to unroll (I’ve done this a couple of times when I was in too much of a hurry). I was able to put it together by myself using a wrench, an impact drill with a socket, and a rubber mallet to help stubborn pieces together. Took about 30 minutes and another 30 to fine tune to my mover bumper height and grass length. It comes with an extra long hitch pin and retaining clip. Most mower bumper pins from other companies will be too short to work well, so just use the supplied one, even though it’s not fancy or magnetic. Overall, this thing is great and saves a ton of time with my lawn care. Once i switched from a traditional riding mower to a zero-turn, and added this yard sweeper, i can finish my yard in 1/4 the time it previously took. It heavy duty enough for personal home use but might get beat up bad if you are a yard pro and traveling with it. It’s too bulky and heavy for me pick it up alone but its got wheels. You’ll need a space about as big as your mower to store it.

Used first thing in spring before grass turned green, picked up leaves, grass clippings, cones, most deer poop, worked good, quick, saved hours of raking. Assembly went good took about an hour and a half, instructions straight forward. Couple minute job to partially disassemble for compact storage. Appears to be made of good quality material.

The unit over all has preformed well. It appears to be made of heavier metal in the main part and the hitch assembly. It is like pulling a shop vac around it picked up well. There is one design issue that I would like to see changed, in the middle of the rear part of the bag there is a rod connecting the top to the bottom of the bad. The top has a thumb screw and the bottom is a pin that goes into a hole in the lower rod. After a couple days use, on 12 acres, this bar kept coming loose. Also on the bottom the pin that goes through has poked a hole in the bottom of the bag. Will have to come up with a remedy for the bottom. The screw on top just will not remain so until I come up with better just have a small strap holding it firm. I may be concerned with some bending in the axel at the wheels but will see how it goes. Full of grass it does get heavy.
All in all a minor issue really, it really does pick up well. I think for the money it is worth the try.
