I was looking at those floor rollers because I’m a night owl and make messes at night when I cant run the vacuum. It only takes a couple splinters from some cut off wires to decide you need one. I was looking through when I found this handheld one. It works great for my task and picks up the cable sleeving and wire messes I leave around, no more careful stepping to avoid splinters at night.
The plastic is real cheap and flimsy, which is why it loses a star, but the plus side to that is it gets really staticky and will pick up animal hair, not really effective though. I will add redesigning this to my list of things to do. I could 3d print a nicer housing for this.

I do not recommend this product. Made extremely cheap and does not work to pick up anything from carpet.

My classroom dustbuster died last year and I found myself not wanting to spend $30 to replace it – enter this little gem! It’s fantastic and the kids love using it! Does not pick up on smooth surfaces but works like a charm on carpet!

We had a power outage at home lasting for 13 days. Bought a Bissell electrostatic sweeper to keep area rugs clean; saw these at the same time and thought that since they were inexpensive, they might be useful for picking up pet hair on upholstered furniture. They just didn’t pick up anything. You’re better off using an adhesive lint roller.
