Pros:
– great suction! Like really great!
– works great on hardwood/tile
– works great on carpet of varying thicknesses
– lots of room in the collection bin
– easy to empty
– not too heavy/easy to carry upstairs
– accessories work well
– pushes very easy
– easy to adjust brush height
CONS:
– I don’t like the way the cord is stored. If I hadn’t had a vacuum with a retractable cord previously then this probably would not have been an issue. It is easier to wrap back up than it is to get off. The way the hose is and how the accessories are placed makes it hard to get the cord off.
– cord is short. I don’t have a huge house and I was still constantly plugging the cord into a different wall in order to reach everywhere I needed it.
– THE TUBE CONNECTION SUCKS. This is the worst part about this vacuum. Where the hose attaches to the base of the vacuum is really difficult to attach correctly and then hard to get apart. I like to use the wand to get in hard-to-reach places, get into cracks, and to vacuum furniture, so I like to readily switch between using the vacuum normally as a push vacuum, to the hose and wand application. This vacuum does not make that process easy!!!
– I also wish this vacuum had a button to turn off the spinning brush when you are using the hose part.
OVERALL I do really like this vacuum. It has great suction and it got a ton of dirt and hair (I have 3 animals) off my floors. For the price I paid it seems like a great vacuum and was worth my money. Maybe in future generations of this vacuum, they can fix a couple of the design flaws. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and the way it cleans.

I have waited until after having used this vacuum several times before writing this review. We’ll start with the Pros & move on to the Cons…
Pros: It is fantastic on hard floors, that is for sure! My house has them throughout but I put down carpet as rugs in most rooms and down the hallway. This vacuum goes seamlessly over them back and forth. Although, I do swap levels sometimes (level 2 for hard and 3 for carpet). It can also vacuum rugs without chewing them up.
One thing I cannot stand with most vacuums is that when going over hard floors they fling debris backwards and you can feel it hitting your feet as you work. This vacuum doesn’t do that and I think it is the Scatter Free or OnePass technology at work, which is by far my favorite feature. Definitely helps in not having to make multiple passes or being frustrated when finished because you find stuff everywhere you just vacuumed. Plus when on the lower setting (2), it almost feels like it polishes the floor a little under your feet. Maybe that’s just because the brushes are still pretty new.
Next, and this is my preference, but I love the orange color. The attachments are fairly easy to work with as well, albiet slightly in the way sometimes. The foot pedals for tilt & power are also big, easy to identify (the power pedal is red) and push. The canister also empties easily. This vacuum also has PLENTY of suction, which makes using it a breeze. Most of the time one pass is all you need. It’s also not very heavy in my opinion.
Cons: There aren’t many but I do have to say that the lack of a light on the front sometimes leaves me wishing there was one. That can probably be remedied easily with an LED light strip or something if you care to rig one up.
Next, after having just tried using it for the first time a few minutes ago, the “turbo brush” attachment pretty much sucks, no pun intended. The spin of the brush is based off of suction and despite there being plenty of it, as soon as I tried to use it on my couch it stopped spinning almost immediately. The suction was still there to get the job done, but the brush itself seems pointless.
The length of the cord is fine but where the hose is positioned on the back and how it wraps up on the top side can be a little tight. An easy remedy is just to disconnect the hose while you wrap the cord and then reattach. It also seems like the cord is just long enough to wrap up and have the end of the cord where it snaps in place be right at the upper or lower loop where it can’t snap on, forcing you to leave it slightly loose. Personally this is a pet peeve that I get really annoyed by so I try not to think about it too much lol.
Finally, the last flaw I can really come up with is that the handle doesn’t tilt all that far without the brush coming off the floor. No idea what the max tilt angle is but just going under my kitchen table caused it to come off the ground, and that’s not exactly low.
VERDICT: Overall this is a great budget vacuum. For roughly $100 I really don’t think you can go wrong. I don’t have pets but do have two young children and cleaning up behind them with this thing is a cinch.

I bought this to replace a similar model made by Bissell that I’d purchased in 2012 or 2013. That model is no longer made or I would have repurchased it immediately. It served me well and kept every home I’ve lived in clean.
Since I got a very large and unexpected Christmas bonus, I purchased this model PLUS a Shark vacuum. You know what? I think I like this a lot better than that over priced Shark.
While this feels like a very flimsy, cheap vacuum cleaner (and it IS), it was a breeze to assemble, it has the same tools as my old Bissell and the suction is just as good and powerful as my old, now deceased model.
I have 3 short haired cats, my own long hair that is always shedding and I live in a very old, 3 story house in a big city on a main throughway, so I get outside dirt as well as the day to day dander, litter crumbs, dead skin cells and other normal human/animal and household detritus. My house has ancient hardwood floors, uncarpeted stairs and antique Oriental area rugs in every room.
My Shark arrived this past Wednesday, I assembled it and vacuumed thoroughly on Thursday evening. Unless it’s mid spring (cat shedding season), when I have no choice but to vacuum at least once a day, normally I vacuum the house once or twice a week and that is sufficient to keep things tidy and hair free. The Shark seemed to perform just fine on the wooden floors and the rugs but I was not wowed by the suction, even though, like the Bissell, one can adjust the device depending on the surface being cleaned. I got a full cannister with the Shark after my Thursday evening vacuuming session. That seemed about right.
BUT-
Today is Saturday. I just assembled the Bissell and vacuumed the entire first floor. I had to empty the cannister 3 times. Both the Shark and this Bissell have cannisters that hold about the same amount of stuff. Let me add that I live alone, I work from home at a sedentary job and am barefoot or in stockinged feet the majority of my waking hours. As I type, I am sitting here and wondering just what good the Shark is for nearly $400…
This may not be your Be All, End All cleaning machine if you live in a 4,500 sq. ft. house with several humans, a few 4 legged mammals with fur coats, wall to wall carpet through out and close access to a sandy beach or a forest floor, but I believe that this inexpensive plastic carpet sucker can and will fully and faithfully serve the needs of a normal household just fine for at least a decade.
