This little hand-held portable “Dustbuster” vacuum was recently upgraded to 20-volts advertised as having three times the suction of the original Dustbuster vac. I have no basis for comparison other than it is equal or better than my 5.25 Hp shop vac. in terms of suction. It packs a lot of power into a tiny package and works great on all fronts. In fact, the only negative is that it is very loud so one must exercise discretion when using it as it will literally wake the neighbors. The slide out nozzle requires a firm push to lock it in place. (When we first got it my wife complained about how easily the nozzle would retract.)

Been using this thing for a full year now and it still holds a charge for as long as it did when brand new! Still sucks better than any other I’ve ever had, even corded models! Will still last almost completely through cleaning an entire car that’s filthy inside, which is the same as it did when new. I’m talking a full size, four door model car. It’s easy to clean, and stays together fine if you clip all three clips, and it’s easy to assemble also. The original filter has lasted all year also, and I just today replaced it, even though it was still useful and can be washed too. Lightweight, and well balanced too, and the extendable nozzle works great as well. The only thing that isn’t so great is the little, permanently attached, brush on the end of the nozzle. Like all vacuum brushes, it quickly loads up with dirt and especially hair, then, again like all vacuum brushes, is a real pain to clean, but as it’s small, not to big of a pain. I hardly ever use the brush myself. Overall, a wonderful machine and I see that in these inflationary times the price has actually come down $10 as well! Very pleased, will buy again when this one finally wears out.

I recently purchased the BLACK+DECKER dustbuster Handheld Vacuum and it has quickly become my go-to cleaning tool. This vacuum is incredibly powerful, with impressive suction that easily picks up dirt, dust, and debris from any surface. The wide mouth design makes it easy to capture large debris, and the crevice tool attachment is perfect for getting into tight spaces.
The compact size of this vacuum is also a huge plus – it’s easy to store in a closet or cabinet and doesn’t take up much space. The battery life is excellent, lasting for several cleaning sessions before needing to be recharged. When it is time to recharge, the process is quick and simple, and the battery indicator light lets me know when it’s time to plug it in.
The dustbin is also easy to empty, and the washable filter makes cleaning and maintenance a breeze. I love that I can quickly and easily clean up messes without having to drag out my larger vacuum or broom and dustpan.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the BLACK+DECKER dustbuster Handheld Vacuum. It is a high-quality product that is powerful, easy to use, and highly portable. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and convenient handheld vacuum for everyday cleaning needs.

Bought this to replace an earlier version bought years ago, It still looked like brand new, but the battery would no longer hold a charge. Was happy with it all through its life.
Stupid that they designed it so batteries can’t be easily replaced. Very stupid.
Haven’t used the new one much yet, so this review is basically about its potential.
It has significantly stronger suction than the old one. Nice.
Some reviews complain about how noisy it is. I don’t consider its noise a problem. For me it’s noise is not an issue.
What I don’t like:
No meaningful instructions. Why?
Filter is cloth that requires washing. There’s not even a hint of information on how to wash it. Why?
The old one had a filter that worked great. It really caught everything. Washing it under the spray from a kitchen sink faucet and air drying was perfect. Why change it? My guess is that it’s so they can sell replacement filters. They’re for sale. I never replaced the filter in the old one. I resent this.
Still, happy with the new one. So far at least. Should things change I’ll update this review, but I’m guessing that won’t be likely.

I purchased this to replace a Dyson Handheld Vacuum…what an absolute waste of money that thing was. After a year of use, the battery would barely hold a charge for 5 minutes. I just received this vacuum, but based on the price alone, even if it dies in 6 months, I am still happier with this purchase. The suction is better, the charge stand is great, the built in brush that you can flip to use, and the option to use the hose extender that’s built in all for an affordable price. I highly recommend!

I was fed up with lackluster portable vacs and devices that have to do the job so after thinking about it I realized you need higher power units to get the job done well. It’s why I chose a 20V over those lesser in voltage.
This unit performs well, IF you hold the nozzle up against the debris or dirt. Otherwise it will do a decent but not great job. If you really need power for suction there is no doubt the only way to go is choose corded over battery operated.
If you use the flup down brush the suction becomes diminished.
This unit despite it’s minor flaw of being sufficient for a handheld functions much better than others but less than a corded. Cleaning is kind of simple but a pain in the G cup due to any hairs or fibers that get suck on intake filter.
The base makes it easy and convenient to charge the unit. My only issue was the vacuum sits on it on a filt not straight up which at first makes you look for how to seat it properly on the charger.
I’ve had a B&D battery operate vacuum and hand tools in past. The batteries didn’t last so this purchase is their last chance to redeem themselves in the world of rechargeable batteries.
So far it works better than most but am concerned about what the battery life will be, and the suction could be stronger (it is stronger than other competitors portables).

Probably one of the best portable vacuums we have ever had. Purchased this model 8 years ago and it’s finally slowly refusing to charge. After buying dozens of these over the years for home and business the 12V and 20V units hold up very well. Pity a previous reviewer didn’t use due diligence in researching his purchase. Caveat Emptor.
A simple inexpensive voltage converter cures the differential. This product originates in the US, so logical step would be determine the operating voltage before purchase. Of the myriad of international products introduced the Singapore shores a savvy shopper would know this.
Purchased this replacement model before they disappear forever since we can’t find a like unit from a different manufacturer. I am very happy with this unit – the filter is almost indestructible and the longevity is commendable. Sadly, DustBuster has discontinued this model.

excellent power wow lol.. and suction is GREAT.. LIL PRICEY THO I THINK & when on a full charge i get maybe 10 mins out of it not even..but maybe thats all your supposed to get..i let my 3 yr old go around the house with it as i seen no sense in the toy versions that dont suck anything up and hes really good at using it properly lol.. so i figured if hes gonna play with one might as well get one that actually cleans too haha. so this was half his bday present haha and he LOVES IT.. the cons of it are though where it sits and charges it can be easily knocked over. i wish it locked into place in the charger but o well maybe next years version??perhaps..GOOD BUY WE LOVE IT
UPDATE****Dec 2020- so its been a couple years now since I’ve got this vacuum and I wanted to write an update- now I don’t know if they changed anything about this vac since I bought it but if everythings the same THEN its still an AMAZING VACUUM and its going STRONG & I still use this ‘everyday’ (we have pets) BEST HANDHELD VAC PURCHASE EVER. however I see the price for it now is crazy well over a $100 which is too much IMO – I paid about $60 for this.
