- ✅ Thru-flow Motors are not suitable for Central Vacuum Application due to lack of reliability, absence of Cooling Fan, the motor section is not separated from vacuumed (dusty and dirty) air, electrical parts are also exposed to this “dirty” air. Carbon Brushes are either not easy or possible to replace. They tend to run at much higher RPM significantly shortening service life. Thru-flow motors are predominantly used for portable vacuums with much smaller carbon brushes and hence shorter life.
